Got an 84 caprice semi stock build im allowed 2 plates up front 4x6x1/4 should i put 1 on outside of steering box and 1 over the big holes on pass side in front of a arms or on top side of frame?

I would put them at the firewall if you don't have a arm kickers or a dp with a kicker to it

I would tilt it if you can and put them up from where you were thinking. Those big holes tend to let the frame do strange things sometime before they go at the firewall.

Tilted or not every one I've ran bent at firewall. Hit square with good bumper does wonders

I would put them on the s curves by the firewall. The frame bending at the firewall will for sure take you out eventually. Bending in front of the a-arms is not a guarantee to being taken out, and in many cases, I would find preferable. I second the hit square with a good front bumper comment.
