Those rules completely define the new age of derby.
Back in the day you made the azz as hard as you could and you used it all night til money time. Nowadays, the fronts all that matter.

Hardnosing is allowed. Leaf pack must be in stock form, no leaf conversion.
Transmission and transmission cross member: **
- NO home made or aftermarket trans braces allowed or steel bellhousings. If you use a midplate or plate to change bellhousing bolt pattern it can only be 1" wider max than bellhousing on trans.Tailshaft has to remain stock with stock trans mount.Must be bolted to trans crossmember just like the factory, not welded. You can chain factory tailshaft around crossmember also.
- Transmission cross member must be OEM or a 2”x2” ¼” thick max. replacement only.
- 1970-74 caddys transmission cross members cannot make contact with both outside and the inside frame section at anytime. Choose to mount cross member in one place or the other, NOT both.
- Tranny Coolers are allowed as long as they are safe. You may use a floor shifter of your choice.

. - 1970-74 caddys transmission cross members cannot make contact with both outside and the inside frame section at anytime. Choose to mount cross member in one place or the other, NOT both. - Way i take that rule is that the stock crossmember mount is on the inside of the frame and the outside of the frame is against the rocker. Therefore you can still tie the "legs" into the crossmember om a 73-74 caddy.

However, I don't know the promoter as I don't run his shows. Therefore, I have no idea.

This crossmember is only welded to the outside frame rails under the doors as that's all our rules allow. However it has obviously came in contact with the inside frame section.
