Any body ever used steering quickners, my current mod has a mannual steering box.. it requires a bit of wheel work to keep up with my competitors who have newer models with power steering and box's with quicker ratios. Durability is obviously key here. My wheels are full centered and the shock of a hit goes through the steering system.

A steering quickener will only make it harder to turn. I would never run one in any car without power steering. Why not just put a new box with power steering on the car?

^^^Agreed. Don't use a quickener. Spend the couple bucks, get the box and a nice p/s setup and you'll be happy.

Never used one so thought I'd ask, thanks for the inut.. packaging a new box might be tricky but I'll kick some ideas around.. thought about a impala steering box or a 70-80's chevy truck/van box..

1 ton dodge.. with very open rules Makes adapting a steering box onto the truck a lot easier with open rules. I'd just find a box from a 3/4 or 1 ton and make it work.

Yeah we still shell them out ocasionally, and trying to get rid of loose ends. I was looking at finding something more durable. Most steering boxs are the same in trucks maybe a different ratio at best but the blow the gears out just the same.

And hopefully have a better gear ratio with that durability factored in.
