There used to be a snap on tools garage game or something like that where you could go to auctions and buy cars to fix or sell maybe could do something similar for derby game I believe I know what game your talking about or one similar where you bought a car from a junk yard and built it up for the drag races. I have had some ideas from a few different games where mixed together I believe could help make this game even better than it already is!

Can I ask what they fixed in this version, I know there was a hiccup when I played it but I lost track of what it was. This game could be really really great, but we are the ones that have to make it great. Im sure once the game is done, we would all spring to buy it, just consider it a pre purchase in a way. Tell your friends, tell derby people. Itll make it that much better,

Not sure if that is what you had noticed but this is what I had noticed. Seemed a little through the heat, well feature from the description as you open the v003, that cars just seems to go airborne a lot more than the previous versions. Still a blast watching those cars go sky high though!!

Don't remember drag racing but did have a junkyard to buy parts I think a "junkyard" would be a nice addition to the game. I know right now, the base game is being developed and the online derby portion. Making a fun playable derby game is the number #1 task at hand, which is being done. I believe any other features requested will be implemented based on the ability to implement them and the funds coming in to support the development I ideas. i am getting a nice list of requests for the game from people, here and other forums and facebook. I would like to see that list posted somewhere and added to and maybe put a $ and done or check mark besides it. I know that one request was better AI drivers and the new AI drivers are better then the original ones and the old ones were pretty good. These new ones don't make as many mistakes , not hitting the walls, logs and tires as much as the original drivers... I believe he is now into selecting the 10 cars that will make the cut based on those who have contributed... A Galaxy is coming my way

Tell your friends, tell derby people. Itll make it that much better, This quick mockup probably didn't fix anything as the actual game is going into development, this was a quick test to get something playable out there so people can have a little fun and he can promote both the STEAM VOTING SYSTEM and the DEMO Crowd Funder. There are a few extras he put in, but that's just for getting the bearings on building the interior view of the car. If you check out the interior view of .01 your view is up a bit to high and looks more skyward, and the .03 is a better angle for where your head would be and what you would see. Development is going forward, Only those who have pledged at the Senior Team level are going to get the Alpha Version and will have it 4 months before everyone else, when suggestions can still be made. Obviously Game Mechanics is going to take the input from people playing the game. The Beta which comes out 2 months before will troubleshoot bugs. Now, that said, there is a hiccup in the game... see next post

It could be a number of things but won't be part of the release. Although some people are likeing it, and I think the cars are getting their front wheels pinched when hit... But I am not sure. Right now its all I can do to beat the ais..

the DDF8 Modder MADMAN, has compiled a list of features he would like to see in the game... I have also sent in a list, but here is his.. -Flying Mud -Cars "Fold Up" as derby persists -Bumpers, wheels, and certain parts of the car fall off, BUT NOT DOORS -Breakable sticks that are controlled by a button on the keyboard (you get asked to do it after your time has run out, if not disqualified) -Customizable cars including brush tool for painting your own cars, many common derby wheels with the ability to paint those too. Maybe a upload your own image option? -Ability to make a car pre-ran before entering derby. -Different heats including: compacts, mid-size, full-size, chain-stock, weld-stock, outlaw, compact trucks, full size trucks and vans, combines? buses? RVs? Team derbies -Career mode!!! We need one! (Junkyard, Driving truck to the track with current car on trailer) -Car models taken from common derby cars (roundbacks, caprice, etc.) -New and different Real local, regional, national tracks (at least a couple from Minnesota like Howard Lake and maybe elk river??) I don't think they could get sued for this?? -Gas leaks, fires, car rolls and other hazards that occur rarely, heat stops to fix problem. -Drive on track before heat starts -Late 60's Hearse & Ambulance -Welding and torches, show you welding and torching spots on car -Different headers -Consolation Heats -Push out boundaries at entrance(s) -easier but still hard to get hung up on the borders, making it more of a hazard (but still keeping the game fun). -A return of original car paints and AI driver paints. (special blend, not every one?) -TOTAL CUSTOMIZATION! of tracks and cars and drivers or engine that is somewhat easy to mod. This game should last us for another 14 years! -Track wetness, turf, size selection? (kinda like dirt track racing) First thank you madmax1100 for your time and dedication to helping get this up and running. Also Madman is a good guy so I'm not trying to be a prick or nut'n, just a couple things I wouldn't do from this list or change because while they are realistic, in a game they can become monotonous and boring or frustrating. 1. Breakable sticks that are controlled by a button on the keyboard (you get asked to do it after your time has run out, if not disqualified) ---->This should just be automatic. In a real derby you might do this before getting knocked out because of injury or you've had enough getting bounced around but in a game it would be just a redundant feature. If it allowed the ability to cheat and stay in or be honest and break it, well, I think we know how that would probably turn out in the world of anonymous online players. Automatic stick breaking instead of black smoke might work, but it might lead to too much confusion in an online game. 2. Drive on track before heat starts ----> I'd probably just leave this as a skip-able quick time event. Make the video exciting, quickly showcasing your car or others online, maybe show your car driving out, but for people that just want to get to it, it may get tedious waiting for people to showboat their way onto the track. I can see the strategy aspect of it as sometimes getting a good spot to start can determine your future in a heat but at the very least driving on shouldn't be mandatory especially when a griefer decides to drive on and smash into all the parked cars. When we play with derby minded friends online (ex. GTA) we of course drive on, but we aren't anonymous trouble makers in that controlled community either. Perhaps this would better be handled as a mod. **One thing I would add to the list, via "Career Mode," would be unlockable car modification as you progress either online or single player. This would necessitate player matching online so newbies aren't constantly being crushed by advanced players. In essence, as you progress, your character learns how to mod their car in various realistic ways. This can lead to unlocking enough to progress into more advanced events like modified or outlaw class as well as unlocking basic strategies like prebending, crushbox replacement or frame cutting in a more basic bone stock event.
