I have a 74 new yorker with a 440. I am not running a alternator or any other accessories only the water pump. Does anybody know what size belt i will need. Any other tips on this car would be apreciated. I am still pretty new to building derby cars this and a 77 cougar for tje wife will be the first 2 i am building.

just gonna have to measure it out and go to the parts store and tell them the length, there is different pulley sizes so its impossible to really know. i usually get the measurement then go down and get a handful of them around that size then return the ones that dont fit.

There are different pulley sets out there so there is no single answer to that question, but a 34.5" belt is pretty common to go round the crank and water pump pulleys
