played it, loved it, donated to it. I loved it and its 1% completed. Whatever we don't like or want added/changed he can change it. He can literally add Bash for Cash or a Suicide Lincoln if we ask. What other game is going to pull that off?

What other game is going to pull that off? Never thought of it that way, its 1& complete. that's so true. Who else is going to pull this off.. well... no one else... This is what we have been asking for

The problem I think you're going to have is the target audience that you're gathering money from. There aren't THAT many people who derby, and the number of them that play PC games is even lower. Targeting PC gamers in general, through Steam would probably yield better results. Steam would be a good place to go once you've got a playable platform. The good thing about Steam, other than a lot of exposure on a very widely used game library, is that there isn't any requirement for you to leave beta. You can, if you need, work on it as revenue allows. I can only name two games that have actually had a full release on steam out of early access, one of which was by a major company, so really only 1 small time company game that made a full release (I think the appeal to staying in beta is more updates = more sales and renewed interest in the game, as well as no pressure to have a perfectly running game) Look at it this way. Everyone in the expocentre at Blizzard Bash donated 3$ funding would be done. Community is a lot bigger then it seems. The gaming majority is smaller though. I gaurantee his intentions are right. The game will be great. And the new addition rocks!

Its CRUNCHTIME I know many of you feel as I do and really want to see this real demolition derby game get the green light and become a reality. To make this game it's going to take orders and money. Some of us (like me) are contributing to the higher kickstart figure and I have noticed a number of people pledging in all the various categories after seeing the working demo (see below). I believe there is an even greater demand for this game and you can help by spreading the word. You can also help out by pre ordering your game now. Every bit added to the kickstarter is going to help make a case to greenlight this game. You know that this game will be a real derby game, much like DDF8 and we all know that this game is going to be a killer demolition derby game. The Pre Alpha version .001 was released to help bring attention to the kickstart. As Demo Driver Homer619 put it.... "I loved it and its 1% completed" I want to see the other 99% of this game get made. And if thats one 1%... WOW, I can't wait to see the rest... Game Mechanics John Ardussi, made a single player demo version of the "Demo Derby" game for Windows. It is FREE. It is an early pre-pre-pre-alpha version to let people play it and see what the gameplay is like. I had no art help so I took much of the art from the original game. Everything will get better as we go. here is the link: www.gamemechanics.com/dd/demo/DemoDerby001.zipIf you like this game If you want to see this game get made, make a pledge/order your copy early. If you got comments about what you want to see in the Demo Derby Game, Post them. Game Mechanics has a significant list of enhancements and ideas. I am sure more are welcome. Lets make this a go.

Here is a nice shot of the front fender peeling off after a door hit on the passenger side. The original game can't do this. Click on the picture to enlarge And Dust and Smoke returns to people with Vista and Windows7 This runs on Windows8 and Windows10 And should it get made, the online will be so much easier then the old one.

I hope they keep an update blog or such on here so we can see progress I had hoped the same thing as well. If you backed the game it says they will be sending out emails about progress. Whether they are or not I am not sure, not that I have received anyways. I do agree they should do something to let the community know how things are coming along.

Yeah they should be sending updates to the backers. I think they should also post live updates out in the real world too because that helps promote the game and bring in new backers. ....As they see progress and get excited for the game

So what is happening with the game? I have not seen any updates or received anything in an email. Since I made an investment into the game as a car builder, I have not heard anything? I am really excited about this game, loved the first one, I just hope it gets completed. I know things like this can take time, but the silence here and from the creator are killing me...

Last I saw on Facebook was they were making the tracks. This was end of April or so when I saw the post asking for ideas about tracks. Haven't seen anything on there since.

Aaaahhhh the dread Facebook, LOL. Never thought to look there since I don't have an account. I will have to check it out and see if there is anything new. I am just excited for this game because I played the first one so much. Thanks Hitman

No problem! I know what you mean I have been waiting for some time for a remake to bedone. With working on tracks I would assume the car designs would be next and possibly the last to do before alpha testing is underway. But time will tell.
