Thank you for the info and advice. I have read the Mid-size thread a few times now, and I'm sure I'll be reading it again. I am fairly mechanically skilled so this will be fun either way. I will be fabricating my own shifter, gas/brake pedals as I have a plasma cutter and good welder. I will be stealing several ideas from the site. I want a slider drive shaft cause I see these cars do like to bend at the firewall, but I will have to see how the budget is when the time comes. As far as the rules, I can run a cradle and PP, weld arms forward, factory bumpers only. Bumper brackets must be used, I'm only allowed a 4 point cage around the driver, and a halo bar, no bars from the halo to the floor or frame. I can't leaf the rear end or have added braces to the rearend, no pinion brake. The trunk can't be tucked and must remain out side of the quarter panels. Thats pretty much it. Very good rules for these cars. Fix the small bend in front of that a arms with bumper shocks/brackets and you have a very usable front end. These rears are fairly easy to get to roll in. Even without a tuck. When you say fix the small bend in front of the a-arms with bumper shocks, what are you meaning exactly?

In front of the arms mid size gms have a natural curve to the frame going out and up. Either swapping the front frame or using brackets to compensate for the bend is the way to fix it.

So if I weld the bumper shocks to the side of the frame this will help? Rules state I can't add any metal.
