Old Skool / Limited Weld (these are the rules, some wording will change, but I will have them final by Friday)
AUTOMOBILE BODY REGULATIONS- ALL JUDGES DECISIONS ARE FINAL
Only 50% of your car can be painted black! NO ALL BLACK CARS!!!!
1. ANY Passenger car or station wagon only. No trucks, jeeps, hearses, limousines, or checkered cabs. No pre 1973 Chrysler Imperials and no Imperial Sub Frames. No PRE-1973 Lincolns. 2. Sedagons are NOT allowed. 3. All glass, side windows, rear windows, headlights and taillights, must be removed before reaching the track. Rolling down windows is not permitted. 4. Rear seat of sedan must be removed, top and bottom. On station wagons all seats and decking must be removed. Station wagons must be emptied to the floorboards. 5. Cars must have a seatbelt and working brakes. MANDATORY 6. Battery may be moved, but must be securely fastened and covered in passenger compartment. TWO BATTERIES ARE ALLOWED. 7. Front Windshield Bar is MANDATORY and is limited to a 2” wide x 1/4" thick strap or a chain/9 wire loop
GAS TANKS AND FUEL PUMPS
1. Stock gas tank MUST be removed from original position and mounted in the rear seat area and secured. No rubber or chain straps. All tanks must have a secure cap. A marine tank or fuel cell is strongly recommended. All lines and fitting must be leak proof and meet approval of the track officials. Electric fuel pumps are allowed 2. All lines must be run inside car, not along the frame underneath. 3. All lines should be double clamped.
RADIATOR AND CORE SUPPORT
1. Radiator must be in stock position 2. Any automotive type radiator can be used. Aluminum Radiators are LEGAL. 3. No homemade radiators allowed 4. No reserve tanks and no added cooling capacity. 5. One electric fan, mounted to the radiator, may be used. 6. DO NOT MOVE CORE SUPORT 7. Factory condenser or 24" wide by 1/4" thick mesh radiator protector
BODY
1. No body seams may be welded. No metal may be added. 2. No doubling of body panels allowed, no added metal allowed. 3. NO Body creasing, 4. Fenders may be bolted together. Max of 10 3/8” BOLTS ABOVE THE FENDER WELL. 5. Doors may be chained, wired, or welded. Welding of the doors is the only welding allowed on the car body. When welding doors 6in 0n 6in off all the way around 6. NO Changing body mounts don"t touch them, except the rear most 4 and the front 2 at the core support (1" threaded rod max)
SUSPENSION
1. Suspension must be original factory suspension for that car. SPRING SPACERS ARE ALLOWED 2. Tie rods must have factory appearing ends, No heims! You may brace the center tube with angle or pipe. Aftermarket is fine but must have a factory type end! 3. No solid suspension must bounce 4. factory spindle swaps are ok, ford to chevy etc.
HOODS
MUST BE OPEN AT INSPECTION! 1. Hoods must have two (2) holes, at least four (4) inches in diameter on each side of the carburetor. Not directly on top of the carburetor. If the hood is removed, either the fan or fan belt must be removed. 2. Hoods, trunks, and tailgates must be open during inspection. 3. Hoods may be secured by 2 pieces of all thread outboard the radiator. Cannot be sleeved. 4. You are allowed 10 pieces of double stranded #9 wire across the front of car from bumper to hood/coresupport 5. You may replace your front core support bolts with upto 1" allthread, and it can extend threw the hood. This may not be sleeved with pipe or tube. 6. Hoods can be held shut with “one” of the following but not both, A (8) 2” long pieces of 2” x 2” angle with a single 3/8” bolt thru them B (8) pieces of # 9 wire attaching hood to fender.
TRUNKS
1. You are allowed 10 pieces of double stranded #9 wire from bumper to bottom of trunk lip. 2. You may use 4 pieces of all thread to secure the trunk lid. All thread must go thru factory rear body mounts only. Washers may be no larger than 4 inches in diameter. No sleeving the all thread and no nuts directly under the trunk lid. 3. You may have 8 spots on your trunk to hold it down, use the following methods, 2" long angle back to back with a 3/8 bolt, 8 spots of additional wire, 8 3/8" bolts threw rain rail. 4. The trunk lid must remain on hinges. (i.e no sliding it forward) 5. The trunk lid may be v’d in the center, BUT QUARTER PANELS MUST REMAIN STAINDING. (THIS IS TO GAIN VISION NOT BUILDING A TRUNK)
SAFTEY CAGES
1. All cars must have a safety cage and roll over bar. 2. A 4 point cage is required and limited to 4 points only. Your cage will must have a dash bar that must be 4” from the firewall. Your cage must have a bar behind the driver’s seat no more than 6” away from it. You must have (2) side bars and they must not be farther than the rear wheel humps and must not extend past your dash bar. The side bars must not be welded to the rear humps. 3. Roll over bar cannot be more than 6” behind driver’s seat. Roll over bar cannot attach to frame. Weld or Bolt it to sheet metal only. A 6” x 6” plate may be used in aiding it to be attached to floor sheet metal. Roll over bar can be bolted to roof 4. The cage can be welded to sheet metal only. You can have up to four (4) down posts, two (2) per side. You must have a dash bar, a cross bar behind the seat and two (2) door cross bars. Nothing can be ran between the rear wheel humps or welded to the humps. No kickers to the frame humps- front or back. 5. Cage can be made out of 4” pipe or 4” square tubing, MAX. 6. All down tubes must be at or behind the dash bar, straight up and down. Welded to sheet metal only. 7. Gas tank protectors are NOT allowed, floating your gas tank off the floor is NOT considered a gas tank protector.
FRAMES
1. No welding, plating, or reinforcing of the frame. 2. All factory frame holes must be left open. 3. Any reinforcing of frame found will result in disqualification. 4. Sub frame cars cannot be tied together. If you want to run a full frame car, buy a full frame car, don’t build one. 5. You can shorten the front frame only to aid in mounting front bumper. CANNOT BE MORE THAN 3 INCHES AND MUST NOT TOUCH FRONT MOUNT. 6. aftermarket steering columns are ok 7. Rear frame rails may not be shortened. 8. You may chain or wire your axle to the frame hump. (2 CHAIN LINKS WELDED TO FRAME MAX)
BUMPERS
1. Bumpers maybe loaded. Everything inside factory envelope of the bumper. 2. Bumpers may be hardnosed or weld a factory shock to frame and bumper, If you slid the brackets back on the frame No welding on frame beyond the furthest factory attachment point on the frame. (not the furthest point on the bracket/shock) If you have questions about this please call! 3. YOU MAY BOLT A CHAIN FROM BUMPER TO BUMPER SHOCK on THE FRAME 3/8 MAX or weld a piece of strap (2"x 1/4") from frame to bumper 1" overlap on each end. This is to aid in keeping bumpers off the track 4. Bumpers can be no higher than 26" from the ground to the top of the bumper or lower than 16" from the ground to the bottom of the bumper. 5. You can use Chevy shock cans on a BOP car.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION 1. Any engine or transmission may be used in any car, but must be mounted within 6” of the original motor. Engine cannot protrude into the passenger compartment before the race. 2. ENGINE CRADLES ALLOWED(front plate and lower cradle) MUST USE FACTORY RUBBER MOUNTED CLAMS (NO AFTERMARKET MOTOR MOUNTS) 3. No midplates allowed 4. Any items used to adapt an engine to a different make must be approved. I.E. robbo cradle for Chrysler etc. 5. Transmission oil coolers and engine oil coolers are permitted. They must be secure and contained and covered inside the car, for the driver’s protection. 6. Pulley protectors are allowed, but sway bar must be removed or not able to touch before or after race!! 7. No Skid plates. 8. No Distributor protectors. 9. Factory aluminum engine cradles in 2003 and newer cars may NOT be changed. No homemade cradles. 10.HOMEMADE Gas Pedals and Shifters Are Allowed 11. OEM crossmember or 2x2 square tube. Factory style rubber mount 12. No Driveline pressure
REAR END 1. Any automotive or aftermarket rear end 2. On models originally equipped with leaf springs, stock leaf springs and hangers MUST be used. 3. Leaf packs on all cars MUST be OEM stock. 4. Slider drive shaft is permitted. 6. You may have five (5) spring clamps per spring. Maximum 1" wide 1/4 thick 7. ZTR style brackets are legal, but must use factory trailing arms to mount rear end. 8. If you shorten the trailing arms. Minimum overlap and weld. No doubling or reinforced trailing arms.
TIRES 1. Any Tires 15 inches or smaller. 2. No solid wheels stock OEM only. YOU MAY WELD IN WHEEL CENTERS for multi lug use (not full plates to add strength!).
The only welding allowed will be the bumper, the cage, doors, motor mounts, angle on the hood and trunk.
These are all outlined above. If it doesn’t say you can do it, don’t assume that you can.
ASK first or don’t do it!
Everybody needs to read and re-read these rules.
If you are found to be too built for these rules, you will be given 2 options. A. CUT OR REMOVE ILLEGAL PARTS. B. LOAD ON TRAILER AND GO HOME. Either way you will NOT RECEIVE A REFUND.

Kicker Rules 2016
In front of the A-arms if you are doing something besides the following (mounting your sway bar, welding your bumper shock, welding your 3x5-1/4" plate, chain links, you will have changes to make at the track. We will be checking height, width and radius in the inspection line.
Changes from previous shows. ALL kicker cars will be allowed the following: -Two 3"x5"-1/4" plates in front of the A-arms on the top side of the frame only *this means 1 per rail, total of 2* -Ball joint protectors, you can have a ball joint protector on your kicker cars, max 2x2 square tube with 2"x2" contact area on the frame. *this is to be used as a ball joint protector* DO NOT ABUSE THIS!!!
03&up 2003 and up will follow all the rules listed here and all rules listed below as well. You have 2 options
option 1 -You can weld in a cradle from a 79-02 vic, marquis, etc. with the same configuration that it came with from the factory onto your 2003 & up frame. MAX weld bead is 3/8" wide and no added metal. -The cradle and suspension components must be welded within 2" of factory location. *measure from crush box bolt holes forward on both models. -You may tilt them in one location only
-you may have a factory spring pocket welded on the frame for your ball joint protector or a piece of square tube like listed above.
-NO shortening the frame on 2003 & up -NO filling the crush point holes
Option 2 - you may run a bolt in style cradle - the cradle must not add any strength to the front frame beyond what the factory 79-02 cradle would in factory configuration. -No welding on the frame to cradle at all -utilize the factory bolting locations -cradle and all suspension components must mount within 2" of factory location -NO shortening the frame on 2003 & up -NO filling the crush point holes
General 1. Only 50% of your car can be painted black! NO ALL BLACK CARS!!!! 2. Cars must remain stock unless the modification is allowed in this rule set. 3. Any American made sedan or station wagon. No Imperials, hearses, limos, checkered cabs 4. You must pass inspection within 3 attempts, if you are blatantly cheating don't expect to get a 2nd chance you will be loaded on the trailer. 5. All cars must be stripped out of all unnecessary interior, plastic, glass, and trim prior to inspection. 6. All cars must have a seatbelt for driver and passenger (if you have a passenger) 7. All cars must have functioning brakes 8. 2003 & up are legal at the October show. If abused it will be a first and last time experience
Cage 1. You may have 1 (2x2 square tube) kicker behind each upper “A ARM” OR you may have a kicker from your dash bar to the Distributor Protector. (Your choice) 2. The gas tank protector can be a maximum of 24” wide. It can touch the sheet metal of the package tray. And attach to it with 2 bolts no greater than 1” (Gas tank protector or any part of the cage must have a 6" gap between rear window bar.) 3. The dash bar can be no closer than 5” from the firewall 4. NO CENTER BAR allowed attaching to dash bar. 5. You may have a bar behind the driver’s seat 6. The side bars can extend no farther than the wiper cowl or the rear wheel hump. 7. Roll over bar must be within 12'' of driver’s seat 8. Your cage can be in the doors if desired 9. No cage extending into the engine compartment or trunk area 10. You may have 2 more down bars that connect to the frame; they are to be located behind the driver’s seat and no farther than 12” from it. Must be vertical up and down installation. 11. 4 down bars total off your cage, the 2 behind the A-Arms, and 2 behind the driver's seat within 12" (your choice if you want the halo connected or your down legs off the side bar but not both) 12.6" maximum cage bar material
Body 1. Body mounts can be replaced with washers or spacers no bigger than 3” diameter and a minimum 1” thick. (body mounts at crush box must be individual pieces) 2. Body bolts are 1” diameter max and can only go through top layer of frame. (Factory style configuration) 3. You may have 8 hold downs for your hood up to 1” diameter with a 4”x4” washer/plate on top 4. Your 2 front hood hold downs may go through the core support and attach to top of body mount which may be replaced with a 4”x4”-1/4” thick piece of steel in factory location. 5. Your core support spacer (2x2 square tube) may go through the core support and welded to your body mount plate but no lower than the top side of the frame. You may also weld it to your core support sheet metal. 6. Two 8”x8” inspection holes located within 2” of side trunk strapping 7. Strapping for welding doors and trunk shut are not to exceed 3” x 1/4” 8. No excessive overlapping on strapping 9. Doors and trunk may only be welded on the outside surfaces. Trunk lid must be factory to make and model… 1980 and newer must have an 80 or newer trunk lid this will be checked. 10. No seam welding of any body panels (especially inside the trunk) 11. All body panels must remain model and era specific 12. You may roll doors over and weld 3”x ¼ on top side 13. You may add 3 bolts per wheel well threw sheet metal only 14. You may have (2) 1” pieces of all thread in your trunk for a hold down. It may only be welded half way down the frame. On wagons it may go through the roof pillars but not the roof. 15. Core support you may have a piece of angle 4”x4”-1/4” and 32” long max welded to it 16. Front windshield bar is mandatory 2"x1/4 strapping or 3/8” chain it is to be welded to roof and windshield cowl (can not touch distributor protector) 17. Rear window bar is optional. 2x2 square tube or pipe it maybe welded or bolted to the roof and to the deck lid no farther than 6” from original window metal position. Only 6” of contact area on each attachment end
Frame 1. Front frames are to be 25” from spring pocket to bumper backing (hook tape measure in front lip of spring pocket and pull it forward in a straight line toward the bumper until touching the backing on the bumper) *if you cut front body mount off your prolly too short!* 2. On models that are shorter than 25” from the factory (I.E. 71-76 GM) all you're allowed to do is cut enough off to square the front frame to mount your bumper. 3. Hump plates are maximum of 22”x6”-1/4” thick and do not have to follow contour of frame. Centered on the arch, outside of frame only 4. TOP Frame seams firewall forward maybe rewelded with a single bead of weld ½” wide max. DO NOT CUT OPEN FRAME TO INSTALL SHOCK. 5. No frame shaping, heat treating, plating, pinning, or painting of frames.
Bumpers 1. Front Bumper: Any loaded oem bumper or aftermarket bumper, The following have been approved for use, SKI INC, YNW 74 impala style,DEC,chambliss, and more to come 2. Rear bumper: must be an OEM factory bumper. Loaded rear bumper is ok, must be contained within factory envelope of bumper. 3. Bumper shocks are to remain stock or use 2” round tube no longer than 10” 4. Bumper shocks are NOT permitted to protrude threw the side of the frame. 5. You may plug weld your bumper shocks to the frame 6. Front bumper height is 22" max. measured from ground to bottom of bumper 7. Rear bumper height is 13" min. measured from ground to bottom of rear frame.
Engine/Transmission 1. ANY Gasoline Engine and transmission 2. Distributor protectors can NOT be wider than your headers 3. 4 chains to hold engine in place 16” long 3/8 chain 4. 2 of your chains in the front, they may only attach to frame with 2 links and no more than 3” of total weld 5. 2 of your chains may attach to motor mount area or rear of engine protector 6. Chain links must remain intact no opening links to weld down 7. Steel bell housings maybe used with trans brace
8. 5” maximum length of angle iron to mount your cross member and must be at least 6” from the crush box area
9. Maximum 2x2-3/8” square tube for cross member
10. No bracing beyond rear tail housing bolts
Suspension FRONT 1. Suspension must be stock unless modifications are noted in this section 2. Tie rods maybe modified or aftermarket 3. Aftermarket ball joints are permitted but can NOT strengthen frames in any way 4. Aftermarket spindles maybe used but must be of similar size and shape of factory 5. (2) 2x2-1/4” pieces of steel may be used to hold each upper an arm down 6. You may plug weld the center of the A arm down also 7. You may change arms to the stamped steel type. Mounting can NOT exceed factory strength and area. 8. Idler arm must be mounted in factory configuration. 9. Sway bar maybe be mounted to the frame with an additional piece of 2x2 square tubes 4” long (no offsetting your square tube to cover more area on your frame) anything beyond 4" of coverage will be cut off (must be a 2" gap between sway bar and pulley protector) 10. No homemade upper or lower control arms Suspension REAR 1. Rear suspension must remain stock unless otherwise noted below 2. Coil springs maybe doubled or stiffer than factory 3. Coils maybe welded, wired or chained in 4. Watts's conversion brackets are allowed, but cannot be used to strengthen car in any way 5. Rear trailing arms maybe reinforced or homemade max 2x2 square tube 6. No coil to leaf conversion 7. Leaf springs can be no wider than factory and no thicker than ¼” 8. No more than 7 springs per side with a minimum of a 2” stagger 9. 4 clamps per leaf pack no bigger than 2” by ¼” banding 10. Any automotive rear-ends or aftermarket rear-ends maybe used (5, 8, 10 lug type) 11. Rear end braces are permitted but not allowed to strengthen the car in any way
Wheels 1. Full weld in centers are permitted 2. Valve stem protectors permitted 3. Any rubber type tires are permitted 4. Bead locks are maximum of 21”
Pre ran class 1. You may have 4- 4''x4''-1/4" fix it plates for frame repair which means the two your aloud in front of the a arms and 2 any where on the frame behind the A-arms. No plates/weld can be touching. 2. DO NOT CUT YOUR 4x4 plates in to smaller pieces to make additional smaller plates. Use it as a 4"x4" plate only. 3. Body can be patched back to factory patch the holes on do not skin car excessive patching means excessive cutting 4. Fresh cars are allowed in this class and get the same patch plates as pre ran. 5. Truck Rules 2016 (stil has some clarification but here is what they look like)

Suspension 1. Suspension may be welded solid 2. You can run a all thread shock or a 2x2 square tube spacer on a leaf sprung truck. 3. Leaf springs must mount in factory hangers and mounts (any homemade or alterations must be approved prior to show) 4. Rear leafs can have upto 12 leafs and 5 clamps, front can have upto 6 leaf springs 5 clamps.

Hoods can be held shut with “one” of the following but not both, A (8) 2” long pieces of 2” x 2” angle with a single 3/8” bolt thru them B (8) pieces of # 9 wire attaching hood to fender
Tailgate and Bed 1.Tailgate can be welded solid with 3 x 1/4" strap on outside only 2. You may drop the tailgate down 3. You may mount the rear bumper in the bed 4. Bed bolts can be replaced with upto 1" bolts or all thread 6x6 washer on top and bottom. 5. spreader bar above the wheel hump is permitted 3" round or 3"x3" bolted or welded to bedside 6. NO WEDGE BEDS
Cage 1. Cage made of maximum 4" pipe or 4"x4" square tube 2. Must be 5" off firewall 3. 4 down bars that can attach to the frame. Nothing angling outside the firewall to frame, must be straight up and down. 4. Roll over bar is mandatory 5. Cage may extend into the bed to the cab side of the wheel humps. (nothing further back) 6. The cage is for driver's safety not to reinforce the truck.
Frames 1. Frames are to remain stock except the following modifications 2. You may not shorten the frames 3. You can box the front and rear frame for the first 6" to aid in mounting your bumpers... do not abuse this.
Bumpers 1. Car bumpers are allowed, no Chrysler pointies or homemade/aftermarket bumpers. 2. Bumpers maybe loaded. Everything inside factory envelope of the bumper. 3. You may have 2 straps from the bumper to the core support. Made of 2" x 1/4" strap. 4. Bumpers can be no higher than 36" from the ground to the top of the bumper. Truck/SUV must sit level within 6" inches.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION 1. Any engine or transmission may be used in any TRUCK/SUV, but must be mounted within 6” of the original motor. 2. Engine cannot protrude into the passenger compartment before the race. 3. ENGINE CRADLES ALLOWED, DP, AND HALO BARS. 4. Transmission oil coolers and engine oil coolers are permitted. They must be secure and covered inside CAB OR BED. 5. Pulley protectors are allowed, but sway bar must be removed or not able to touch before RACE. 2" SPACE BEFORE RACE. 6. HOMEMADE Gas Pedals and Shifters Are Allowed 7. Transmission brace is ok, but not to be used to strengthen the truck in anyway. 8. Aftermarket motor mounts are ok. 9. Engines can be chained in with 2 chains and no more that 2 chain links/3" iches of weld on the frame.
REAR END 1. Any automotive or aftermarket rear end 5-10 lug 2. Slider drive shaft is permitted. 3. No homemade perches or mounts, must be mounted like factory origin.
TIRES/Wheels 1. Black, rubber, and round 2. Beadlocks are fine and full wheel centers ok.
If it doesn’t say you can do it, don’t assume that you can. ASK first or don’t do it!
If you are found to be too built for these rules, you will be given 2 options. A. CUT OR REMOVE ILLEGAL PARTS. B. LOAD ON TRAILER AND GO HOME. Either way you will NOT RECEIVE A REFUND.

Compact Rules (still have a few things to clarify, if you see any typos or issues PM me)
1. Cars can be powered by a 4 or 6 cylinder engine.
2. 108” FWD and 106” RWD Maximum wheelbase
3. No shortening of cars to achieve wheelbase limits.
4. No full frame cars.
5. If 4x4 cars are used, front or rear drive shaft must be removed.
6. No sedagons.
7. Batteries must be located in passenger compartment. TWO Batteries are allowed.
8. Cars MUST have working seatbelt and brakes. MANDATORY!
9. You must pass inspection within 3 times or you will not be allowed to run.
Body
1. No body seams may be welded
2. No doubling of body panels allowed
3. Fenders may be bolted together. Max of 10 3/8” Bolts Above Fender Well Only!
4. Doors may be chained, wired or welded. 3” x 1/4" x 6” plates. 6 inches on 6 inches off.
5. You must have a 8”x8” inspection hole in trunk lid.
6. Rust repair is limited to floor boards and roof only. Patch metal must be same thickness as floor board. 1” overlap to good metal outside of rust area. Do Not abuse this rule or you will cut.
7. Front Windshield Bar is MANDATORY. It is limited to a 2” wide x 1/4" thick strap or a chain/9 wire loop 8. Body creasing is ok.
Radiator and Core Support
1. Radiator must be in stock position
2. Any automotive type radiator can be used. Aluminum Radiators are LEGAL.
3. NO Homemade Radiators Allowed
4. No Reserve Tanks and No Added Cooling Capacity.
5. One Electric Fan, Mounted to Radiator may be used
6. Do Not Move Core Support
7. Factory condenser can be mounted outboard of radiator to be used as a protector. Can be wired in 4 spots.
Hood
1. You can have (8) 2” long pieces of 2” x 2” angle with a single 3/8” bolt thru them.
2. Hoods must have 2 holes, at least 4 inches in diameter on each side of the carburetor. If hood is removed, either the fan or the fan belt must be removed.
3. Hoods MUST open at inspection.
4. Hoods may be secured by 2 pieces of allthread thru core support. 1” diameter max. Cannot be sleeved.
Trunk
1. You may use 4 pieces of all thread to secure the trunk lid. Allthread can go thru rear frame or be welded to side of frame. If going thru the frame the washers may be no larger than 3” in diameter. No sleeving allthread and no nuts directly under trunk lid.
2. Trunk Lid MUST remain on hinges.
3. The trunk lid may be v’d in the center, BUT QUARTER PANELS MUST REMAIN STAINDING. (THIS IS TO GAIN VISION NOT BUILDING A TRUNK)
4. You can have 4 pieces of #9 wire from trunk to rear bumper.
5. Trunk can be welded down with 2” by 1/8” thick strapping. No layering or excessive overlap of pieces.
Cage
1. All cars MUST have a cage and roll over bar. 4” pipe or 4” x 4” square tubing MAX. THIS IS FOR DRIVER SAFETY.
2. A 4 point cage is required and limited to 4 points only. Your cage must have a dash bar that must be 4” from the firewall. Your cage must have a bar behind the driver’s seat no more than 12” away from it. You must have (2) side bars and they must not be farther than the rear wheel humps and must not extend past your dash bar. The side bars must not be welded to the rear humps.
3. Roll over bar cannot be more than 12” behind driver’s seat. It may be connected by one of the following options: 1) can be welded to top of rear frame. 2) can be welded to rear sheet metal, you may use a 6” x 6” plate 1/4" thick to aid in attaching bar. It can be welded or bolted. Roll over bar may be bolted to roof.
4. The cage can be welded to sheet metal only. You can have up to four (4) down posts, two (2) per side. You must have a dash bar, a cross bar behind the seat and two (2) door cross bars. Nothing can be ran between the rear wheel humps or welded to the humps.
Frame
1. No welding, plating or reinforcing of the frame.
2. ALL factory frame holes must be left open.
3. You can shorten front frame only to aid in mounting front bumper. (no shortening beyond core support)
4. You are allowed one of the following options, a 10” bumper shock max 2” diameter OR 3/8” PLATE 10” long 3” tall. Must attach to bumper . You pick top, side, or bottom of frame. NOT ON INSIDE OF FRAME, must be external.
5. You cannot “stub” or shorten front or rear of car body or frame.
Bumpers
1. Any year bumper permitted. All bumper seams may be welded, bumpers may be loaded, and bumper must be a factory car bumper. Store bought homemade bumpers are allowed YNW or DEC.
2. YOU MAY BOLT A CHAIN FROM BUMPER TO BUMPER SHOCK on THE FRAME 3/8 MAX or weld a piece of strap (2"x 1/4") from frame to bumper 1" overlap on each end. This is to aid in keeping bumpers off the track.
3. Maximum bumper height 22” to bottom. Minimum bumper height 14” to bottom.
Engine / Transmission
1. Any 4 or 6 cylinder engine allowed. Must be mounted within 6” of factory motor position. Engines cannot protrude into the passenger compartment before the race.
2. ENGINE CRADLES ARE ALLOWED(front plate and lower cradle only) MUST USE FACTORY RUBBER MOUNTS (NO AFTERMARKET MOTOR MOUNTS) 3. Front wheel drive cars can weld motor mounts and replace the top mounts with 2x2 square tube factory length. (not to be used to strengthen the car In any way.)
4. Transmission oil coolers and engine oil coolers are permitted. They must be secure and contained and covered inside the car, for the driver’s protection.
5. Pulley Protectors are allowed, but sway bar must be removed or not able to touch before or after race.
6. Slider shafts are allowed.
7. NO Distributor Protectors or Midplates allowed.
8. OEM crossmember or 2” x 2” square tube. Factory Style Rubber Transmission Mount must be used.
9. HOMEMADE Gas Pedals and Shifters Are Allowed
Gas Tank and Fuel Pump
1. Stock gas tank MUST be removed from original position and mounted in the rear seat area and secured. No rubber or chain straps. All tanks must have a secure cap. A marine tank or fuel cell is strongly recommended. All lines and fitting must be leak proof and meet approval of the track officials. Electric fuel pumps are allowed.
2. All lines must be run inside car, not along the frame underneath.
3. All lines should be double clamped.
Suspension
1. Suspension must be original factory suspension for that car. SPRING SPACERS ARE ALLOWED
2. Tie rods must have factory appearing ends, No heims! You may brace the center tube with angle or pipe. Aftermarket is fine but must have a factory type end!
3. You cannot convert front suspension. IE: Factory strut car must remain factory strut. Factory A arm car must remain factory A arm.
4. You cannot convert rear suspension from coil to leaf. You cannot convert front suspension from coil to leaf.
5. No solid suspension must bounce
6. Coil spring cars may not substitute pipe or tube for spring.
7. May use any light duty automotive rear end. NO FLOATERS!
8. On leaf sprung cars, No more than 5 springs allowed per side and must be mounted in factory location with factory style hardware. You may have five (5) spring clamps per spring. Maximum 1" wide 1/4 thick. The leafs must have a 2” stagger front and rear.
9. You can shorten trailing arms, use minimum overlap and weld. NO doubling or reinforced trailing arms.
10. If factory equipped with rear “quad shocks” (Mustang fox bodies) they must be removed.
Tires
1. Black rubber and round. 2. Wheels, 19” max beadlock or rim guard. 3. Weld in ceters/Multi center are ok 4. Valve stem protectors are ok
If it doesn’t say you can do it, don’t assume that you can.
ASK first or don’t do it!

I'm beginning to believe the best promoters to run for are the ones fresh out of the car. Their hearts in it the most. As time goes by they loose that luvin' feelin. I'm just happy to be given the opportunity to do this for the sport, drivers, and fans. No rest for the Wicked, they can't catch me if I never stop!

For the truck rules ... Is that how your rules are gonna be for local shows over he summer too? I believe these will be the rules for the summer between most of the local promoters. truck rules still have a few touch ups but are real close to final.
