'59 Ford. Any ideas for this issue yet? can you send me a pic of how the factory bumper attaches to 614-376-2363[/quote] You eliminated any chance for a ford product with that rule. Best class at the best derby in the country last year, why does it need rule changes?

BY many people that watched they said that class was great. But the entire ideal with that class is to be completely stock body's and frames, that was the whole intention from the start and we want it to remain that way.

Basically everyone wants the 80's classes to be nothing but Crown Vics and the old iron classes to be nothing but GM's. I know I've always been in the minority in the derby world but open up the rules to get some variety in there.

Unfortunately the winner was driving a ford so changes must be made!

Lol not trying to be hateful lol I have great respect for Tim and Russ and the whole smash it crew you guys do one hell of a job all year let alone the bash. But these last 2 years the rules are making it even harder to compete in a rwd compact. I had an awesome season at all of your guys shows. But I also spent a ton of time fixing my pos. Went to scrap after Greenville and it had a total of 4 different frame rails swapped up front. Luminas are just killing everything and the rules are going further in their favor. A few weeks ago there was a big deal on facebook about sub frame welding on FWD cars it was NOT going to be aloud now it is? I had also asked about how I do my sway bar mounts on my mustangs ran 10 smash it shows in 2 years with them done this way now its not going to be aloud? Furthering the FWD advantage. I'm gonna bring a car to the bash if I get junked at least its gonna be fun lol

I'm gonna bring a car to the bash if I get junked at least its gonna be fun lol First off on this I didn't change the way you can mount the sway bar that rule reads exactly the same as it did last year. And the second part don't believe everything you read on facebook. I know that neither Tim or I posted anything about the rules on here, facebook, or our website until I had them finished and posted. At the end of the day people can say anything they want about rule changes I've had a bunch of phone conversations about everything we were changing before the rules were posted and guess what none of the things I heard was even being considered. If Tim or I say it or post it believe it if you read it any place else or from another party don't.

Get on the wheel and derby. Wanna win with a rwd compact or old ford then drive the car and protect the weaknesses. There are 20 guys who dislike the rules and 400 that love them. Everyone has the same opportunity to get the same car as the other guy. If the rules say if u have a pre X year ford then u can do this, who is being favored with the rules? If a lumina is what u think is the tank with these rules, then why would u even look another car? If u can't beat them with a different car then u might as well join them. I think smash it is making changes every year to the rules to address what needs to be addressed in each class. To me they are doing this the right way.

To me they are doing this the right way. that's very easy for a fulsize builder to just switch cars virtually your whole setup can be used with minimal changes. Switching from rwd to FWD almost none of my set up can be used which took several years to get it where I want it. I'm bringing a car either way and yes i do know how to drive to protect a cars weaknesses.
