Ok thanks. Can't 100% tell in the pictures did you remove the trunk lid or push it into the trunk

I left the bumper, notched it about a foot and a half from the back of the trunk and sledged the fenders and deck lid right above the notch. Started to pack pretty good until the motor was laying on the ground

And if your allowed to weld any under the hood the strut towers and top of Frame rail, not the sub, would be my first places to start. Would also bolt every single bolt I'm allowed in the rear fenders, from middle of fender back.

Nope not allowed to do any of that unfortunately but do you think if I change out the front cradle bushings with solid mounts and all-thread would that help the front end at all? And to answer superM do to the wheelbase limits around here I have to run it in the full-size, but i'm running it in our county only heat so not all the cars that i'll be running against will be really well built.

If you can't redo ALL your subframe bolts don't bother with it, imho. Not allowed to tuck or canoe a trunk ? If so I would ditch trunk lid all together.

I can change them all if I want just thought i'd ask so I could try to stiffen the front end a little bit. I'll be glad when this car is done so I can get back to building my cavaliers.

For the front (89 bonneville) are you guys hard nosing or just mounting to the bumper shocks?

For the front (89 bonneville) are you guys hard nosing or just mounting to the bumper shocks? We couldn't hard nose. Used regular bumper shocks and welded a good bumper on it. Mine bent about a foot behind the end of the frame

1988 pontiac bonneville After winning our county only heat, which was just me and another guy in a beat up vic, and also after running in the feature with 6 well built vic and 2 square back wagons. I got 6th out of 9 and had I moved the coil packs I could have gotten further. Back came in great even though it was only about a foot and a half from me

Do the 3800s in these things have a limp mode when they get hot? Should I mount up another coolant sensor or is it good?

I am running a 98 Lesabre w/3800 in a pretty stock show. What is everyone doing with the computer in the front river side fender? Any others do's or dont's would be appreciated. Thanks
