If you don't want to carb a 3100/3.1 what is the best way to avoid limp mode? two options: either one will give you the same result. 1. take your temp sensor out and zip tie it up somewhere so it is reading the air temp. get a pipe plug and plug the hole where the original sensor was. 2. leave the sensor in, unplug it and get/buy another sensor and zip tie it up so it is reading the air temp. i put mine near the intake where it is usually reading cooler air. I tried this last year, Wrapped aluminum foil around it, the temp sensor was too cold and too much fuel got to the engine. I wouldn't think that the aluminum foil would be the deal breaker...

I've heard people having good luck with running the resistor, which isn't that big of a deal to install, really...

looking for some help: car isnt missing anymore now that i replaced the coil pack. from a stop when i hammer on the gas it cuts out and tries to die. when i take it easy til about 2300 rpm then hammer on its fine til i let off the gas then it stalls out. there is better throttle response when its in park but still cuts out a little. i don't know crap about carbs this is my first time messing with one. seems like its starving for fuel but my pump was at 8-9 psi then drops to 4-6 when i push the gas down. i dont have a regulator on it. what should i look at/start tearing apart?

If its a 4t60 and not a 4t60e you don't have to.

I'll have to take a look picked the car up for $175 and it's pretty clean but it's got a knock coming from the lower end haven't looked to close at it yet. But I have a 2.5 that I carbed I was thinking on putting in it. Have some time until the show I plan on running it to work on the problems.
