It was on a GM. I was holding the brake while getting hit. The wheel bearings moved/flexed and the spindle bent/flexed just enough to move but the caliper didn't.

I was running an ss wheel with a uni lug weld in center. I had a rotor break in three pieces. The middle portion of the rotor was still bolted to the rim. The spindle nut and washer was still on the spindle. Only problem ive ever had with front brakes in 15 plus years. Imo I perfer all brakes!

I had one break and get wedged between the rim and spindle. It locked my wheel up and I was just doing donuts until I broke my stick. I use a plasma cutter and cut the outer part of the rotor off and use the part that goes on the hub when running stick spindles
