For once, an idea outside the box I actually enjoy. Good job, kudos to you. I might have to steal this idea sometime down the road.

so has anyone come up with a good rim for 12" tires, little less work than above? lol I have a mustang II that I want to put some brand new 12" skidders on. Will a festiva or fiesta rim with a welded in center with mustang pattern work ok?

I don't see why it wouldn't if you buy the narrow ones. Festiva rims are too narrow for the 8" wide tires.

Odd that people are interested in the 12" tires. Hauled them around for the past two seasons in my rig and sold 4. Had them with custom centers, on 12" steel rims that were 6" wide (hard to find, and they were not the flimsy ATV wheel). The 12" skid from Samson is only an 8 ply, where the 15" is ten ply. Had them for $75/tire. Still do. Wheels were $75. They are very hard to mount on narrow rims because the tire is so stiff across the width and has a short side wall. Not much around to double them, though I found a few things that might work.
As for 14's, the Titan's are 6 ply rated, and some of the Galaxy ones are also, but if you feel the Titan sidewall they are stiff as can be. I have been selling them for $130 stuffed, or $110 not stuffed. That will go up about $5 this year.
Most guys don't like the 12" rim because of how little room there is with hub savers and such.

I bought 12s from Scott last year at the Iowa auction already on rims with centers. I took them and had them foam filled for around $75 each. We also made a set of rims our self with rims similar to the ones I bought. They are a little heavy around 75lbs but good diggers and no flats. I've never ran 23-14. I do run 25-14 titans doubled with bead locks and I've ran them with no air and never noticed a difference.

Titan does not make a 23/850/14 6ply...there is a company out there making a 23/850/14 6ply though....I sell them $97/ea. I've also got the 5.70-12 8ply for $71/each.
