Some of us cut frames before the show. Also had them drilled. Thought inspection was fair. A lot of cars in tbtc were tilted. Its easy to spot. Assss low front frame level or below. Plenty of wagons and sedans like that. Watch the videos and u can tell when someone hits with the front that hasn't been tilted. We were not even in the top5 and we were asked if we wanted the winning car cut open, and both the 002 and 501 declined. In our opinion once you get thru tech at this derby there should be no issues at the end period…..

Cioppa I feel the same. I feel since they drilled my frame that everyone else got the same treatment.

I was just curious since they did it last year if they did it this year, not trying to cause a shit storm lol

I had a blast at my 2nd Bash, 1st time running. Got to meet alot of new guys and put faces to names. Made a mistake in my heat (2nd compact) by going nose to nose with a collision craft lumina one too many times, but had a blast doing it. Everyone i met and talked to were easy going and just there for the best show in the country. I think there are things that could take some tweaking, but not enough to make a big deal over considering how many things went right and were done correctly. I cant even imagine the time and energy that goes into a show of this size. Great Job Smash-It and fellow drivers.

I just wanted to say we have had a great time both this year and last at Bash. I think it's a great facility that allows a good bit of spread out area so your not on top of one another. I did see an increase in spectators this year and that's always a great thing! It often seems anywhere we go seating is a situation because those who have family or friends in each specific heat or feature obviously want to be close to see, cheer and often times do their own recording. Our daughter is involved in all-star cheer and those places can be crazy insane with people wanting and needing and feeling they have a right to be front and center. I think a great way I say they solved the problem was a separate viewing area immediately available after they get off the stage. This gives them the opportunity to converge with the team, coaches and family and friends, and see what they just did. I think this resonates even louder in our sport, when most of what your doing isn't rehearsed a thousand times over and comes spur of the moment and full of adrenaline. I think this might be a great thing to offer at big events like this. I'm sure just like myself there are many people waiting on the edge of their seats for our DVD's to arrive for an all day viewing of the event. I was surprised that no one has mentioned the confusion with the release of the cars on Saturday morning. Under normal circumstances I'm ready to go at 7 am, that Saturday I wasn't. We arrived back on the grounds thinking that cars were being let out of the barns, after circling and meeting up with others who had the same assumption, we were told 8 and then 12 noon. I'm sure this was just a communication error, and really the only complaint that I could find with the staff, the facility or the weekend. I enjoy the format, and most of all I find it to be an awesome experience, that all of us drivers can come together from all over the country, drink and carry on with few limits, and not often is an unkind word exchanged with drivers or those in the crowd. I think that speaks volumes as far as people being responsible for themselves and those around them. Moonshine and I are excited to come back next year and enjoy what is the "superbowl" of our sport - with some of the best people around.

Dang, from what I seen the bigger named drivers had the hardest inspections... Just what I seen.. My wagon was painted but they made a point to scrape all the seam sealer out to check just like all the others.. Point blank this derby was fair

Thing that gets me the most is cause a certain 10 drivers are always towards the top doesn't mean they cheat.... It means they pay attention to little things better than most others

No that means the other 70 drivers have to make a name for them selves and beat them top ten guys...Lol..This derby is 1 of the best..I have been to plenty and nothing comes close..From inspection, inspection crew, atmosphere to the ppl and fans..what smash it is doing is what others around the country need to do so they have shows like bash...If they where to start making big changes to what they do. There just going to be another Derby....That's just my opinion but we all know opinions are like ass holes everyone has 1 but they all stink..

The promoters did a great accommodating everyone to allow them to run. I think over all they did an amazing job on the show as a whole. They have a very difficult job to do. I extremely respect inspectors who called out what they saw, for what it was. I think their opinions should be highly respected and enforced. JMO
