yeah, I thought he was being an idiot. that heat is suppose to be all about the kids. he decided he wanted to take all the attention away from his kid and the rest of them by acting like a moron. class act. i heard it was a bet btween him and his kid and he lost ok....well that would vastly change my opinion. that was my gut reaction without any back story

I would prefer a 20 page set of rules. And actually load every tilted wagon and cheated sedan that shows up instead of allowing them to attempt to fix what they knew was illegal when they built it. However, the only rule change that I would definitely like to see changed/added next year is no painting of the inside of the cars. If you are not seam welding cheated up wagons, then you don't need new seam sealer and paint. DI rules dont allow painting of the inside of the cars for that exact reason. This makes the inspectors jobs easier too. Also, its perfectly OK to load up cars that cannot pass inspection. Of course this is just my opinion.

I agree. Load them up. That's the main reason I got out of this sport years ago. Too many professional rust creators out there hiding things to win. When you have guys that follow the rules, they get tired of being beat by the ones who don't.

Any of the top cars get cut apart like previous years?

The TBTC class did not get cut. I was told you have to protest to get them cut. Personally, I think they should be cut regardless. Its not my job to inspect the cars, so I don't know if they were illegal, stuffed/plated/welded or not. IDK? Plus who wants to be the one to protest someone. Certainly not me. I would think the majority of the other drivers would not have minded seeing torches come out after the show was over regardless who won. JMO
For the record I am not saying that I thought anyone was cheating, only that I like the concept of a post race reinspection. The inspectors do a great job but its easier to recheck the top few cars than it is to inspect 400.

JMO Last year the tope 5 from each class was pulled off separately. 1 2 3 was cut apart if anything was found in any of the top 3 they went to 4,5... nothing was found last year..

JMO Personally, i think there are a few cars that had they been protested, cutting would have ensued and to me it would be worth the cost to see these few cars have to obey the rules like everyone else. Im not pointing fingers, but i feel like favoritism is being shown by officials to some of the better known drivers. Just my opinion though.

Some of us cut frames before the show. Also had them drilled. Thought inspection was fair. A lot of cars in tbtc were tilted. Its easy to spot. Assss low front frame level or below. Plenty of wagons and sedans like that. Watch the videos and u can tell when someone hits with the front that hasn't been tilted. Sent from my SCH-R970 using proboards
