Im putting #9 wire on my Toyota supra from rear frame rail to top of hatch. what can I do to stop the wire from tearing through the sheet metal of the body as I pull it tight?

Weld 1" washers over holes before you wire it...

Does twisting the wire make it stronger or does it just make it look nicer? I heard different stories from people.

Twisting the wire will make it tight and hold together better and not just putt apart. Done right #9 wire is very tuff I use a lot on my weld cars.

A whole truck load of 9 wire is only as good as the guy using/twisting it

Open the chuck up all the way, stick both ends in there, tighten the chuck, hold the opposite (looped end) pull the trigger till both strands get tight, badda bing . Sent from my ADR6410LVW using proboards Thats a hellva idea.
