Will air hose work for running ur lines to cooler? Not at all.. won't hold up to the pressure

And they swell up and pop rather quickly. I did a quick fix once with air hose and it didn't last very long at all. The transmission fluid will destroy any rubber that is not rated for it.

Looking to get a tranny cooler and was wanting to know what was better to get an ice box or electric fan

Its personal preference. I like a fan because then I don't ever have to mess with buying and storing the ice to put in the box. It also has to do with how long your heats are, and if your running sufficient batteries and/or an alternator.

Also depends on if you are running an alternator as to running a fan or water cooled. I never run an alternator, so I run a 5 or 6 gallon bucket for a cooler.

When making a icebox trans cooler. I have 3 rads that measure 7 1/2 in w X 9 in long. Is there a certain amount of space to leave between them. I was gonna make a icebox cooler and wantes to use all 3 rads in one. Or would that be too much?

IMO I would leave about 3-4 inches between them, more if you can, as long as you can get ice in between the 3 you should be good, I think I might be overthinking it or being dramatic but you would in theory want the warm fluids as far away as possible from each other in the box. correct me if I’m wrong but the more rads u have in the cooler the more fluid it takes which intern makes it a longer process for a said drop of fluid to make it back to the trans to get warm again. In my mind it would help but do what you can and feel comfortable with. Sorry if this is confusing and it is also just my thoughts on the topic, not necessarily the best or correct way.

I get what your saying. That was my thoughts too. I will have plenty of room between them. My thought was more coolers means the fluid cools more. My worry was that with it being so much would the fluid actually flow.

Ya I guess I can’t answer that 100% but I think it would work out good.

A trans will burn up if it’s too cool,or too hot

Dreed is right. You don't want cold fluid going back to the trans. One single, decent sized cooler in an ice box is plenty for a trans cooler. Don't over do it. You still want that fluid to reach at least 140 degrees.
