Got a Chrysler pointy going on a 65 Imp. Gonna weld all seams on the inside, was wondering if it is worth the time and effort to cut chrome skin and pound it down and weld it to rest of the bumper for a limited weld show or would just welding all the inside seams be good enough for that. I will be hardnosing it to frame also? Thanks

And yes, I would weld skin if you can

Yessir, last year guy had a 74 Monte welded up on his 67 imperial, he should of won but got hung up on a 75 caddy. Bumper looked damn straight to me afterwards, thought my pointy would be a little better on the 65 imp.

I could be wrong but it looks like a 77 Newport rear bumper to me. I tacoed one in half on the front of a shocker. I don't like where the license plate is recessed, that is where it bends in half. Are you allowed to load it?

I basically just wanted to stay away from it flagging behind the humps. We can add a few leafs I think and put good clamps on but springs have to stay pretty much stock. We can tuck the trunk but over half of the lid has to be on top of the rain lip. I mostly drive forward but for defensive purposes I want the back to roll up nice. Thought about gutting the back bumper and only running the chrome. Here is the car: Got some more pics of my car after I got it home today. Super clean. Will be a car for next year.

That bumper was plug and seam welded on for several nights. Still junk in my opinion.

What Is this bumper from? I was told it could possibly be from a late 70's ford? What would this bumper compare to/ how good of a bumper is it?

Looks like a 77-79 T bird bumper too me.
If left stock usually a one and done bumper.
Nice bumpers to load though.
