You can run the stock column just bolt some angle iron to it and weld them to the dash bar

There's 4 bolts that eventually hold the column to the dash I used those 4 holes and chained it just in case

Ive run the stock column in 8 or so cars without problems thus far.
Drop the column when you gut the dash, then gut the shifter brackets and the shifter.
Then just as he said the 4 bolts you can measure and bolt a plate to it, then just weld a piece from that to the dash bar.

So i will be running my 98 marquis in a semi stock show. im allowed to change the motor and rear end, and hard nose but thats it, no other welding or pre bending. Cannot tilt if you show up with a tilted vic you get thrown in with the imperials. there will most likely be some mid 70's chevys in my heat. any advice would be helpful.

Is there a easy way to tell if a frame is a p71 if it is a bare frame?

98-02 tuff to tell diference in p71 and not.....
97 down sway bar will look like 98-02 one they are thicker and dip down in the middle. also cross member is alot more beefy on these probably the only way to tell on a watts one is the cross member.....
