Want to get into mini trucks and im allowed to run astros heard there tuff but idk where to start have a 2000 astro cargo run the 4.3 or drop in a 350? Switch leafs? What are some thing.you guys do obliously weld all doors solid but as far as dash bar? Its smash it rules for mini trucks kickers behind a arms tank protector can connect to.fram 24 inchea behind front of bed but where would that be on a van??? Just a few things to get me started sure ill have more later

Thanks what do you do as far as fuel? I usually run cars with carbed 350 dont.know how to do the fuel injected crap or is there a hei / carb set up for 4.3?

just put your full pump in a boat take . they pump has to put out so many pound of preacher be for the engine will run

Look under the front of the astro. if its a 2wd it should have 3 braces connecting to a beam right behind behind bumper going back to the crossmember. If you have that you are set. Just switch out the bumper and you can use both ends. WAAAY harder than any other van or small truck. In our area they want to get rid of them

Okay mine has 2 braces about 3-4 inches wide its a cargo style with steal leaf pack i thing ill be good you have anyother tips? I think i might go carbed so i dont have all the electric bull.crap

Move rear bumper up and reweld (I would use steel car bumper). Use a good car bumper on the front. Other than that they are a nice simple built that is hard to lose in

I noticed that too about them vans. I pulled the sub frame out and its goin on a 80s ford. Them braces should make the front ends hard.

I run a late 80's fuel pump out of ford ranger. Puts out enough psi to run the 4.3 vortec. It's an inline fuel pump under drivers door of ranger. I run it on all my compacts. Anyone know a good mini class type bumper to put on front of astro? I cant use a car bumper in local demo.
