will the dash bar be connected to the door bars in someway? not trying to be a dick just wondering and very interested in this build

Have not given it much thought to be honest. I would say the more points you can tie everything together would be better. I want to be careful to not add to much structure until we have the car pre inspected. Our fair seems to be getting more particular on how we build things.
Any suggestions would be cool I am open for discussion.

We always went straight with the front to back bars. Then we welded the side to side bars to those. If you do that, can you run a kicker down to where you have the bar welded to the floor?

well since you already have the door bars angled to the floor id run a bar up from the door bars up to the dash bar if they will allow. but normally I put my door bars in then my dash n seat bar and run bars down off the dash n seat bar down to the floor or frame whatever they will allow

I totally agree running the bars the way you guys have suggested would structurally be a better configuration.
Back when we originally built the spreader bar and added the side bar to the driver’s side the only thought was to give some inside protection too the driver. Last year we decided to add another bar on the passenger side to match because we have had that door come in so far that it almost ripped out the battery box, and we just matched the driver’s side.
Looking back we should have built it the way you guys have suggested, it was only last year that we have ever installed a dash bar, that is part of the reason the bar was angled straight to the frame to begin with. Anyway if everything looks ok to tech I will look at tying the two together somehow I think it is a good idea.
This year they are also allowing gas tank protection so this weekend I am building some more tubes off the spreader bar that will go down around the gas tanks, I will probably just angle some 2x3 tube down to the top of frame rails, weld a pad to the top of that then up to the main spreader bar.

can I suggest mounting the tank on the tank protector and running bars up the backside n down towards the seat bar it would look like a triangle but this way the tank is on your tank protector and a lot safer IMO

that is a sweet build, however i found one thing i dont like(well, the position anyway) I would be afraid of going to shift and getting hit with your switch panel mounted there. It looks like you may cut the crap out of your arm with those edges...other than that, one of the cooler switch panels i've seen.

There is actually far more room between the shifter and the plate than the pic would lead you to believe. Been running that plate for years and have ran into it before luckily no damage so far. I always wear pretty heavy mechanic gloves too.
Good lookin out though.
