I like Decker's idea for holding them on. exactly.... I put a flat bumper up to it.... weld the top and side of each rail... then i blow a hole through my bumper and through the flat of the Front of the Y and stick a 3/4 bolt through it and impact it tight... I've never had one fall off... and they push in the up... I know it's not a y framer, but running a big bolt through and welding seems to work.

A pointy is a must ,keep the side brackets off the original bumper to tie the ends in ,and hardnose it you will be fine .

also leave the ORIGINAL bumper bracket inthe center... it butts right against the rear of the bumper and keeps it from flattening out or pulling up

JMO
Flat stacking the leaf spring will cause a pre mature whale tail effect. I am all for clamping the front of the spring and one clamp in the rear holding 3 or 4 of the leafs together.
Both times we flat leafed the rear went up really quick. Stock pack seem to pack in better instead of roll up.
Like i said JMO

what else did you do besides the flat stack? It's a complicated question. There are a whole long list of possible individual treatments that taken as a whole can influence the outcome. I don't think it is accurate to just state that "flat stacking is a bad option" because when combined with other specific treatments I think it is a good option.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ he may be thinking of a short flat leaf. the way id do it is clamp the springs then chain the rear down then putting u bolts around leafs through the floor with plates and bolts on trunk floor sucking them tight to the unibody.

looking great. just a question are you going to trim the front lower part of the fender or fold it up and under away from the front tires?

Thanks guys.
I will probably trim the fenders more, first I need to get the tires on and see what I need to trim.
