Yup yup, what would be a good way to go about that Few ways to go about ithis, mainly depends on your rules. No gap coil springs or spring pocket buckets will work but a lot of places do not allow the buckets.

On some mopars I run inyo that issue. Tip car on its side and swing the maul to make some room or on a couple I have just made my own tunnel front to back with 5" x1/4" well pipe and welded it full length and made brackets to floor to bolt to.. Really helps lol

One thing I've noticed is any set of spring won't work, the damn tie bolt on the galaxie is off set forward, and the trucks are more in the center...unless you drill a new hole for the tie bolt..I've been fighting mine off and on..I flat stacked them at first, but it set way too low,so I took them back apart and put them back stock, but added 2 leafs from a ford courier(however u spell it)..not sure what would interchange with leafs tho

I was thinking I was gonna have to find a set and use the stock ones but figured id ask to see if anyone had any luck with something else.

Would 1973 LTD spindles be worth the swap on a 63 galaxie?

Would 1973 LTD spindles be worth the swap on a 63 galaxie? I did on mine, not sure if it helped or not but the LTD spindles look to have twice as much material in them. I also used the upper a-arms and ball joints, nearly a bolt on with some hole hogging. Also switch out the steering, i've heard that you use a box ford tie rod on one side and a old iron gm tie rod on the other side to make it align-able.

It should be 73-78 with the exception of 73 having comparable bumpers to a 73 caprice.

So why isn’t a 62 fairlane in this, is it worth running? Have a chance to pick one up for 400
