Ok with a 350 would u need a new rear axle and drive shaft as well ? And I would not think a 350 would give me the crush room up front like a 6 cylinder would . And were can I find 350sbc at and how much they usually cost

If your planning on running the bash with this truck you better get to gettin son. You have some building to do. Making a SBC fit in one of these trucks along with fabricating everything to go along with it isn't a quick couple day job.

You can make a drive shaft. You can keep the rear end. You're gonna need to cut a lot of the firewall out to slide the engine back as far as possible.

Just a friendly reminder to all the truck guys that are running the bash this year to make sure your truck sits level and has DOT tires. Hate to see someone not able to run because of something like this. its easier to fix at home then it is at the track.

ill stick to a 4.3 lol same as a 350 just to less cly with a 2 barl carb and a hei dist and then it wont mind heat idk why yall think v8 is the way to do in these lil trucks lets put the rad an inch from the water pump lol 4.3 all the way with a th350 wont have any problem yeah may be a lil out powered but less heat and you cant be pushed if your on the brakes stick with a 4.3 mine has 250,000 miles on it has won about 10 derbys its been hot has never shut down i have never had the intake off or valve covers by an adp plate for the carb and roll with it they have power 4.3s are good motors

At the bash, you can run any oem bumper, and you can also load it. If you load the bumper right, then any good, solid bumper out in the junkyard will work.
