I'm planning on building my first derby truck this year, I have a 1989 Chevy s10 and was wondering what it the best way to change the height of the ride? I need to raise it a few inches. Feel free to leave any other tips on building a truck. Thanks.

If it's 2wd, bolt or weld the a-arms down. I'm unsure how the 4x4 is set up.

The only thing it says in the rules is "7 leaf limit per side, no leaf over main allowed. Springs must have 2’’ stagger." But they have allowed guys using threaded rods before.

If its a 4x4 model the front will have torsion bars turn them up for the front and the back leave alone they tend to belly between the cab and bed so the more bolts or welds from cab to bed the better and if you can run a gas tank protector and extra bolts to the bed. I built a 93 and it has 2 runs on it and will be back for a third in may.

Running a 2000 blazer on Sunday, ran it 2 months ago and it ran fine parked it and unhooked the battery, hooked up the battery today and it starts and runs for about a second. Good fuel pressure, and spark but wont stay running. If I spray it with ether it will run like normal until I quit spraying. Could I be dealing with the anti theft crap or is it something different
Any input will be appreciated
