Not necessary, but it was probably me talking about 3 wire GM. I prefer to run one. Don't have to charge the battery as often. As a result, the battery lasts longer.

OK guys I got a motorcraft 2bbl on my 2.3. Is there an easy way to adjust the Carb like a certain number of turns on the adjusters to get somewhat close. Mine is freshly rebuilt and it is running rich. Plus I'm running Turbo blue in it. I think I need to advance the timing also

Is there a better starter option for the 2.3 than stock? I run 5 mid 70's stock 2.3's and my biggest enemy so far has been loosing starters. mini starters?

Hellbent, i have had the same issue. i played with the carb for hours and never got mine adjusted to where i was happy with it. it starts easy, but revs to the moon in park or neutral and idles too low in gear/seems to kinda fall on its face a little in gear until i give it some gas.

Looking at building a top end for my 2.3. I will be buying speedways drop in double wound springs and was wondering what would be the biggest lift cam I would want to choose using stock size valves and the mentioned replacement springs. This head is ported and polished and has a 2bbl intake and 2100 motorcraft carb. Also is the flow in the fuel injected lower intake that much greater than that of the intake I have posted below? www.ebay.com/itm/300705563534?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649

Ported, and stock size valves don't mix.

Its not a heavily ported head, just matched the gaskets and took away the roughness of the cast and smoothed out a few rough edges. I know you can hurt yourself overporting a head and leaving the undersized valves in. I'm just looking to see what the popular cam grinds for the lima engines with a stock valve train are before I go looking to buy.
