If you can find one a 70's Volvo would be best. They have upper and lower control arms instead of struts, and gear box instead of rack and pinion. From what I've seen other than those differences they are the same as the 80's 200 series. Not too many around though.

You have to cut a lot out of firewall or transmission tunnel? Any opinion on the 740?

X5Sleek you have to fabricate motor mounts, but no cutting is required. Wasn't that a 700 series that was next to me in the pits on Sunday? it was a newer volvo but yeah it was a 740 wagon. it did great didn't it lol got tore up by w bodies

Did a little bit of research, what I was referring to was actually a 100 series Volvo which had a production run from 66-74'. A little older than I thought. I have seen a couple for sale though, they were just a little far to pull the trigger.

Where do the struts break or bend at right in the middle, bows to where the tire stops turning or they break apart.

Should I wedge or tuck my trunk on my 89 240 Either way could be effective if done right. Just depends what you want to get out of it and your rules. tuck is the safer route but maybe not as strong. Wedge could make it harder but has more potential to go ugly.

Should I wedge or tuck my trunk on my 89 240 Tuck it about half way then cut quaters even with floor an even with trunk lid. Fold them to the horizontal part of trunk weld quater to trunk lid ever place u can an notch or dimple the floor to where it will give right where u welded quater back to floor. The floor will fold up flat to the trunk lid an then it's soild
