does anyone know where the neutral safety switch is located in a 91 escort Here's a tip if your wanting to keep the key switch but also delete the safety switch. These 4 wires go into a plug on the side of the Trans by shifter linkage. Car is a 91 or 92. Starts in any gear now, not just in park

For most modern compacts you really shouldn't need a toggle switch to start the car unless you have an aftermarket carb setup or removed all dashboard from the car. The key at the steering wheel works fine. Now if you are running a gas tank and fuel pump in the backseat, then you will need a toggle switch to turn the fuel pump on and off.

I run a toggle for fuel pump, other than that leave the factory ignition. Could even run inline pump to ignition hot if you want to go real simple.

I assume you mean 8 inch tires on the rear of the car? no front jus thinking of ideas I wouldn't use that small of a tire up front unless you can raise your front bumper height. With stock suspension, your front will be sitting very low and get shoved into the engine quick. If your rules allow raised suspension, solid suspension, etc.....then it can work if you build your car right for that setup.
