Anyone ever ran one with a 3.0? And what are you guys doing to get them to go up like that yellow tempo on here?

Got an 88 tempo with the 2.3 having problems with it. Ran just fine the other day now it has no drive. Reverse works great but in order to get it to drive forward I have to stomp on the pedal just to get it to crawl forward. My first thought was something with the kick down cable, but that doesn't seem to be the issue. Thought maybe a plug came undone but I'm not finding anything. Tranny lines are not kinked and it has fluid. Am I missing something? Hopefully this car will be running tomorrow, if I can figure out what's wrong. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I have a 1993 ford tempo. Was running fine until i went to start it up today and it wont even crank. All my electrical stuff works but it doesnt crank. I tried jumping it but still nothing. I put a screwdriver on the starter and can hear it to run/turn but it doesnt crank motor. Is the starter junk? Is there any wires i should check or anything i could be missing?

Hey guys new to the forum, always love reading the tips and tricks, a die hard ford guy here. Just ran a Ford tempo this weekend, ended up getting second. Just curious, do you guys cut the spare tire well out of the trunk? The car I ran was an old enduro car, so I had ended up cutting that out when I raced it. I did like the way the trunk collapsed, have you guys had any luck doing this? And also, what have you guys been doing about the front bumper shocks? DO you just shorten them up? Or eliminate them completely? One hard shot and my bumper went straight up on the front end. Thanks in advance.

Any way to strengthen the Control arm on 93 tempo? Really all that holds it in place is the sway bar.
