Hood is actually steel. I'm going to give it a shot.

The roof just has a fiberglass cover on it. Behind the t tops on my car anyway. Aggravating to get off, but all steel underneath.

I ran the arm that goes from the rear end to the tranny to the tunnel wall drilled a hole used half inch all thread and 3" washers tightened with impact and it never came out everyone I've heard that uses the stock mounts loses the drive shaft quick. Doesn't the "torque arm" have to pivot with the suspension? Should I just leave it loose and double nut it, or hammer it tight?

I found a rusty 87 Bird 2.8 so I'll be carbing it and running it this year, then hopefully fixing the 95 for next year.

The way I had mine set up it still allowed the rear to move and the arm could pivot but not move if that makes any sense to you.

It can be pretty snug and still pivot fine.

How wide is the rear axle? Compared to a foxbody rear?

How wide is the rear axle? Compared to a foxbody rear? Don't remember the # off hand, but it's considerably wider. If I remember, I'll measure both tomorrow.

Thanks guys. Running in a stock show, I can load the bumpers but I'm afraid they will be too hard for the frame rails. Any experience with loaded bumpers on these?

I ran these for several years with loaded bumpers with pretty stock rules and have had good results. I was allowed to shorten frame to core support though as well...

I can shorten frame and hard-nose bumper, with 6" shocks inside the frame.

Thanks. Ever since smash bob got his I've been itching to find one and drop my mustangs drivetrain in it lol Not near as bad as I though. About 2.5-3" difference. You could probably make that up with the offset of aftermarket chrome wheels.
