most people are putting the square bodies on because they are buying the frames bare.

You can run the bodys i run mine with the factory bodys aint had any complaints the only frame mods ive had to do is on my 06 crown frame i put a 97 town car body on and had to lengthen like 2 3/4 behind crossmember other then that its pretty much prefrence or availability on the body and on the reart packing treuy u can change it or make your own brackets to weld or bolt on or leaf it . on springs i put a half moon piece of 1/4 on the spring welded it to spring then welded it to bottom of frame no problems but make sure on the bottom of spring where it goes in lower a arm u put the half loop toward the wheel hope this helps you.

I haven't personally built an 03 or newer, but has anyone tried mounting a leaf spring pack under the cradle and connected to the lower control arms? Or am I thinking too far out of the box? Lol.

I picked up an 03 vic for cheap and run fairly stock derbies I have heard of people running these with stock parts is there any truth to this? I plan on putting my drivetrain in it but I'm worried about the front suspension can I improve the stock parts to work at a county fair demo? Tom

I don't think there's any way to beef up the stock parts... Hence the reason for cradle swap. Unless you can aluminum weld and make it 3x as thick or something along those lines but definitely won't appear stock.
You could run it stock and watch your wheels that's about the only way people are running them stock.
