Well, an f150 prior to 97 will not have a arms, so I dont think you'll be able to do that.

So I have a 89 I'm thinking about trying to restub with a 98-02...I'm going to he doing it right behind my aarms because from there back the frame is still straight as a arrow...my bumper broke off and accordioned my drivers side under the aarm and bent hard behind steering box...the passenger side spring pocket is starting to crush in too...my only question is has anyone restubed one of these right behind the aarms and it do alright? And then is the 80s frame a little wider than the 98-02? Its going to be a little bit before I get a chance to work on this so just looking for some input

I would if the 98-02 frame wasn't bent to crap at the crush boxes

Then find another. Trust me, I was gonna do the same thing and decided against it. It's not worth it. Too much work for no gain. If you're gonna do it, do it right. 98-02 stubs are not expensive

Plus you have to mess with rear lower a arm brackets. Do it at the boxes simple and you cut half of the seams to tilt already

a arm mounts and some different holes... There are a lot of different frame looks like one has a hole here and other doesn't depending on years but Most of the differences don't mean much but there are some that do...

Stupid question, is there any difference in the structure of a Vic and marquis ? Marquis is half the price of Vic’s where I’m from?!?

Is it hard to tilt when the body is still on. I can only tilt once per frame rail and I can use my frame repair on it. Should I place it there or where else on the frame. I get 12 inches of plate on both sides.

Better suspension and internals here or there. Merc will hold up just the same. Depending on what class. In my opinion it dont matter a bit i wouldnt pay more for one or the other
