lost tire 41 seconds into feature Ran the newport again last week. Made the feature and placed 6th out of 11 cars. Top 3 were imperials. Feature had 4 imperials a suicide lincon and another old tough lincon. Was a pretty stacked feature and had I not got hung up I think I might have been able to pull of 4th. Front is still fairly straight just started to go behind A arms. Thinking of pulling it back down and plating the sub and running it one last time.

I agree with your call on not running without brakes. Too many guys are selfish and go on out. Then someone gets hurt. Car looks good. I'd run it again for sure!!!

i know allot of guys would have kept running without brakes but I decided saving the car and not hurting some one else was a better plan. Turned out good in the long run.

I've lost brakes on the track a couple times, sucks something awful.
So hard on trans, rears, and everything else.
As stated, also dangerous to officials, competitors, and fans.
Your decision to break off was a smart one.

U don't need brakes lol I ran a heavy built 77 shocker wagon and lost brakes in feature just drove smart and used dead cars to stop me and only took good shots to where I wouldn't get my self out of postions and get hung or stuck and drove to the win.

Im sure many people have ran, and ran successfully without brakes. It causes alot of unneeded stress on parts though, and is a safety hazard to those on and off the track. Much respect for choosing others safety over a higher place.
