That be a big no on closing the y's its for a very mild weld show. 8 securments in the hood and 8 in the trunk. I'm in debate on running the y framer or just build a shocker. HHHHHMMMMM Decisions decisions.

IMO I would use the shocker and save the y framer for somewhere where you can at least suck y’a together

Weld the all thread washers top an bottom. Saw few done this way an it never bent there. Bent at the firewall in two places.

If your allowed to that is a good way of doing things, I’m also not much of a mopar expert either so take that as you will.

Run a bumper shock inside the y or bolt it and suck it in with nuts on inside and out side or suck it together without welds at all and you'll be alright even that will be enough to make it bend at the firewall. Or depending on your rules. Take the bumper bracket. Form it to the contour of frame and weld it up the side of frame. It reaches the A-arm and goes all the way to bumper y framer or shocker id run either one I love em both

Just simply don't do it. Its a little over a inch away anyways. No need. Hardnose it and weld your stock brackets from bumper to a arm

Not very familiar with mopars, but is a 73 fury a good car? From what I know, yes, but I’ve been burnt before. Any help appreciated

You want to beat the quarters in and tuck the trunk so they roll in that type of car. I would also advise some good placement of all thread as it seems they tend to rip body from frame and perches from frame.

Another thing I do on all my mopars is once quarters are pushed in I put 9 wire from center of quarter panel to center of quarter panel and twist it tight. That keeps the quarter from blowing outward and helps them bend inward.

Agree. Weld leaf hangers on better. Run as many clamps as you can. Make the trunk shaped to roll where you want it to roll and set it inch pr two Lower than the front and hit square. She will roll. They aren't hard but they aren't all that soft either
