I ran a 65 star chief a few yrs back when i was dumb and didnt know anything i scraped the car not long ago well i happened to notice that it isnt a c channel front it is boxed with a second cross member in front of motor i think it would be a tough car if built right in the back

Hopefully picking up a 65 Vista Cruiser this weekend, runs and drives, super clean and it's cheap. Will be for a stock show. Have a bubble caprice stub laying around, what's everyone's input on stubbing it?

I'm not trying to make anyone repeat what all has just been said, I respect all the info, but just curious how one would do with a newer stub.

A budy of mine is building a 62 olds delta 88. The rules allow 4 4"x5" plates an 8" bumper mounting plates hump plates on coil cars a full cage with gas tank protector and down bars that can go to the frame as far forward as the front door seam dp's and cradles and 2"x2" tranny crossmember. What are some tips to help make this thing stronger? It has what looks like rear crush boxes which i have never seen. Any advice is appreciated.

Would a 70 impala be worth restubbing craddle forward with a 67 cutless, the cutless is c channel crush box back and the impala is boxed from humps to craddle then c channel forward i know both are junk but i want to see peoples faces with a 2 door impala in a derby!

64 Buick. X frame, but boxed in front and back. Good or bad?
