A 66 has very short frame rails in the front. They end almost at the tire and dip way down. Likely why nobody runs them. It would take a very liberal set of rules to build one in my opinion.

Ya, it’s a little high but it’s as low as we could get it, physically can’t go anymore without destroying the floor. Motor is pushed back 8 inches and the body was pulled down on the trans 5 inches

Ole trick was get body's tight as possible to the frame. New FTS trick leave them foot off the frame so floors don't rip so motor sits back farther. I'll stick to Ole trick an settle for pushing motor into body's about 2 inchs an do other secret stuff 😆.

Would love to get it lower, no way to get the cradle to sit lower we will see how the frame handles being that far off the body. I'm curious if it works or just waste the front. Brave to do it an waste a caddy tho. 3 inches or less I'd do it but not that high. I'd be letting the metal rip to just to get it lower. Plus if cross member is welded in an motor an tranny is locked into the cross member no need to worry about the firewall staying as one piece. We have had cars done that way an no firewalls an never bent in archs. Just my opinion tho.

^x2. I'd be making new floors. Or at least a new tunnel and doubling my floors anyway I'm sure you have a plan but I couldn't run it like that not that high

If it has your full cradle and trans brace I've seen people just go ahead and suck the body down and wad the floor around it in the process.
