Looks like I have your car's twin. It will be heading to indiania next week. If you have the twin.... I may have their slightly older, uglier cousin Herman (born in 1969) -I think the color is Performance Tan. i seriously just stripped out its twin

with it just being welded to the center brace and not the frame rails its gonna push in that center brace and kink them 3 frame brackets.. the rails is where your strength is.. but i've been wrong before..

thats gonna be a messy first hit, i hope you plan on sliding a shock partially in the frame cut off at 27 degrees and welding that to the bumper. I dont even touch that beam with the bumper.

On my 72 I had 1-2" gap between the angle iron on my imp pointy and that front brace and it worked great. I have seen a 70 run with that brace cut off and the bumper was slid back to the rad support and the 3 other braces were welded to the bumper as well...it was a flat bumper thou, but it was impressive in the front....
