General Rules
No Imperials
Should be easy to throw together builds.
All #9 wire used can be 3 strands, and the chain can be a maximum size of 7/16.”
IF NOT SPECIFIED IN THE RULES DON’T ASSUME YOU CAN DO IT.
Cars must remain stock unless specified in the rules.
No welding unless the rules say.
If not built to rules, expect to cut.
No custom-built radiators.
Drivetrain
Any engine/transmission combination can be used.
Equipment allowed: weld on center for rims, aftermarket gas, and brake pedals, (may not strengthen car), shifters, headers, lower cradle, sliders, and pinion brake.
Equipment NOT ALLOWED: Distributor protectors, transmission braces, carb protectors.
You may use one 2 X 2 X ¼” piece of square tubing for a transmission cross member. Tubing must go straight across from the frame rail to frame rail, with absolutely no kickers on the cross member. Crossmember may be welded or bolted into place. Mount cross member on top of (1) 3 x 3 x 6” piece of angle iron on both ends. NOTHING else
can be attached to the cross member besides the transmission mount.
You may use any air-filled tire. No solid tires, Doubles are okay. May use washers, large lug nuts, and wheel studs. You must remove wheel weights.
You may cut the firewall for the distributor to pass through.
No braced rear ends
Gas Tank/ Battery Box
Stock gas tanks must be removed. The fuel tank must be strapped securely in the backseat of the car, no bungee straps. Must be properly covered with non-flammable material and cannot be connected to the frame in any way.
The battery box must be placed on the passenger’s side floorboard and properly secured to sheet metal only.
Steering/Suspension
You may run an aftermarket steering column, you may add U-joints to stock columns.
No aftermarket spindles, A-arms, idler arms, center links, pitman arms, or homemade shocks. You may swap steering boxes if they bolt on. All steering components from the steering box to the spindle must be stock and not reinforced in any way.
The sway bar must be bolted.
Suspension may be welded or bolted. If welding suspension you can use a maximum of 2 X 4 X ¼” strap. (2) per A-arm (tops or bottom only NOT BOTH!!!)
Control arms may not be strengthened in any way.
You may run (1) Chain per side around the rear end and up to the package tray.
You can have (3) leaf spring clamps in front of the axle and (3) behind the axle. Stock leaf springs only, no truck springs.
Stock shocks only, no homemade shocks or filling of shocks allowed.
You may swap A-arms from car to car if they bolt on using factory mounts. No modification of the factory A-arms frame mounts is allowed.
2003 and newer Fords must run factory steering and suspension components unless specified in the rules.
Bumper/Frames
Bumpers can be seam welded. No adding points or changing the geometry of the factory bumpers.
May use 4 X 6 X ¼” maximum square tubing for the bumper. No longer than a factory bumper, and it must be completely straight. ¼ X 4” tall X 6” bumper bracket to weld the bumper on.
No Chrysler pointys, no manufactured pointys.
May run bumper shocks if factory to the car.
Hard nosing is allowed. You may only shorten to the core support.
You must have a chain or wire in two places to help hold on front and back bumpers. No welding anything to the frame.
No hump plates.
Pre-ran cars can have (2) 5 X 5 X ¼” fix-it plates. Must stay 5 X 5 X ¼” no splitting up.
Cage/Driver Safety
Cage material can be a maximum of 6” in diameter, and the cage cannot connect to the frame.
A 4-point floating cage is allowed. This CAN NOT be done in a way to strengthen the frame in any way. Door bars may not run further forward than the firewall and cannot go further back than the middle of the backdoors.
Gas tank protectors are allowed, and cannot be connected to the tray package or tray body. The gas tank protector must come off of the back seat bar. It must be narrower than the frame rails at the humps. NO BEATING of sheet metal to get it closer to the package tray.
You may run driver window netting in the driver's window only.
The front window bar must go from the cowl to the roof only. They CAN NOT be connected to the cage. A maximum of 4” welds on cowls, these cannot be used to strengthen the car.
Body
Doors may be chained, wired, or welded shut. 2 chains/wire strands or patches per door seam. Patches can be maximum of 4 X 4 X ¼.” The driver’s door may be welded solid.
No creasing, welding, or bolting of body seams unless specified.
Speaker deck/trunk may be dished a maximum of 4” from factory location. Use a straight piece of material to check your measurement. Rear quarter panels may also be dished and creased.
Trunks may be tucked.
Trunks may be held down in 6 places with bolts, chains, or patches. Patches may not be longer than 4 X 4 X ¼.” Bolts must go from sheet metal to sheet metal only. 2 bolts may run from the trunk floor to the frame, and the other 4 must be connected to the trunk lid lip. Maximum of ¾” sized bolts may be used. Washers for bolts can be a maximum size of 4 X 4 X ¼.” Only 2 can be connected to the frame.
Hood may be held down in 6 locations maximum. Can be chained/wired or bolted. Maximum of ¾” bolts. Hood hinges do not count against you for these locations. A maximum 3 X 3 X ¼” angle iron may be welded to the fenders or top of the hood to bolt your hood down.
You may run ¾” threaded rod through the core support mounts and through the hood. This counts as 2 of your 6 hold downs. No other hood hold-downs can be connected to the frame. NO lifting core support, must stay stock height.
May use up to 4 ⅜” diameter bolts to bolt front clip together in areas of your choosing. Sheet metal to sheet metal only, no added steel or relocating of factory brackets to strengthen.
Rear wheel walls may be bolted together in 4 spots with bolts no bigger than ⅜” in diameter.
No shortening of front clip or relocating of core support.
The hood can have a maximum of (8) ⅜” bolts in it to hold the seam together.
May notch/prebend rear frame rail.
Must leave stock body mounts in.

Must actively compete till the end, no driving yourself on barriers. Failure to comply
will result in stopping class to warn multiple drivers or a countdown on an individual
driver and disqualification.
No reinforcements are allowed other than those specified in these rules. Any metal added to
Reinforcing the car is illegal.
You will only be allowed 2 trips thru the inspection line.
NO PAINTING, UNDERCOATING, OILING, OR GREASING OF FRAMES. YOU WILL NOT
BE INSPECTED. THIS INCLUDES PAINTING OF THE FRAME FLAT BLACK.
NO HITTING IN DRIVERS DOOR, but no using the driver's door as a shield. If the hit
is deemed by the official to be careless or intentional, you will be disqualified. If you
use your driver’s door as a defense, we will not enforce the rules. If you use the
door as a defense repeatedly you will be disqualified. This will be at the judges’
discretion.
NO hot-rodding in the pits! Keep it at an idle. Be respectful and use common sense.
Any open door or second fire will cause disqualification. If in a heat, you may fix it
and come back in the feature if you advance. In the feature, you will be
disqualified.
You must make AGGRESSIVE contact every 60 seconds.
Sandbagging is not tolerated and will be strictly enforced. Locking up the brakes
prior to a hit for anything other than a driver’s door will be cause for disqualification
per the judge's discretion. The fans pay to see a show, put one on for them!
IF YOU THINK SOMEONE IS SANDBAGGING, HIT THEIR CAR WITH YOUR CAR ON THE TRACK.
Any and all questions or controversies will be discussed at the driver's meeting
All drivers must pick up trophies and earnings at the completion of the event, or forfeit them. They will not be available after that date.
All persons MUST sign an entry form, insurance waiver, release form, pay entry fees,
and purchase a pit pass before entering the pit area.
THERE IS NO ALCOHOL IN THE PITS. This includes pit crews. If you or ANY of your crew is caught with alcohol, you will be disqualified.
No harassment of the judges will be allowed at any time by drivers, passengers,
crewmembers, or spectators. Failure to abide by this rule, the driver will forfeit all
money and all involved will be escorted from the premises.
All drivers must wear approved helmets, long pants, and a shirt. Also, all drivers must
wear working seat belts. This will be enforced or you will not run!
Drivers must remain in the vehicle with helmet and seatbelt on until notified by an
official that it is safe to exit the vehicle.
This is not a team event; team driving will not be tolerated
All drivers must attend a drivers’ meeting prior to the derby
All cars must be removed from the derby site by 9 pm on the day of the derby. Failure
to do this will result in cars being removed by the track and a bill sent for our time.
DO NOT paint anywhere on the suspension or frame; if we can tell it’s been painted, we
will not waste time inspecting your car.
You must have a number in bright colors on each front door and must have at least
the size of a 12”x12” sign on the roof of your car with the car number on it for judging
and recognition of the car. You cannot use the roof sign to strengthen the car.

2 Wheel Drive Minivans/SUV 2023
This is an easy, throw-together, fun van class! If you want to do more than what is allowed, build a weld car. Rules are simple, follow them. Strip the car, weld the cage, move your battery and gas tank, chain the doors and put a sweet paint job on it.
General Rules
No full-size vans. No Durangos
No welding unless rules say you can.
You may have a floating 4-point cage with a halo, you may have a floating gas tank protector that follows the tank.
All body mounts must be factory unless rusted out. If rusted out, change out with the same size bolt and leave stock pucks in.
Wire, weld, or chaining of the doors, trunk lid, and hood are allowed. Max of (2) per seam allowed, (4) are allowed in the hood. 2 threaded rods may be welded to the top of the frame.
The fuel cell may be mounted on the back seat bar and 2” away from the back seat area.
Aftermarket gas pedal, brake pedal, shifter, and headers are allowed.
You may put a car bumper on, 6” from bumper backing you may use a bracket to weld it on, anything past 6” will be required to cut off. You can also put a 6” X 4” piece of tubing on instead. NO loaded bumpers, seam weld is okay.
Any tire is allowed.
All plastic, lights, airbags, and glass must be removed.
Can have (2) 5” X 5” X ¼” plates on fresh van. (2) extra plates on pre-run van. No more than (4) total plates on the pre-run van. If more are needed, build a new van. These can be used to weld the bumper back on if you need to. Plates can not be split up, must stay

FWD Midsize Weld 2023
General Rules-
1. FWD ONLY!!
2. No Fresh Paint or Undercoating on the frames at all. No buffing or grinding frames or bodies except where welding is specifically allowed in these rules. No painting on the interior of the car.
3. All cars must be stock, unless modification is stated in the rules.
4. All glass, plastic, chrome, and interior must be removed from the car before arriving at the derby.
5. All trailer hitches and braces must be removed.
6. Batteries must be moved to the passenger front floorboard. They must be properly secured and covered.
7. You must have a number in bright colors on each front door and must have at least the size of a 15”x15” sign on the roof of your car with the car number on it for judging and recognition of the car. You cannot use the roof sign to strengthen the car.
8. All cars must have working brakes.
9. NO welding other than what is mentioned in this set of rules. If your car is found with any welds, other than what is allowed, and you refuse to fix it to the judge’s satisfaction, you and your car will not run!!
Shortening-
You may shorten up to the core support.
Bumper-
1. You may have a car, manufactured or loaded bumper, seam welded is fine!!
2. If running a tube bumper the ends of the tube may be cut and curled towards the cab of the vehicle.
Bumper Brackets-
1. You get a 14” bumper bracket, this will be measured from the back of the bumper. Anything past 14” will need to be cut off. Bumper bracket thickness may not exceed 3/8” thick. Cannot exceed the height of the frame (for example: a Camry frame rail is taller than a W Body, so the plating on a Camry will be taller than the plating on a W Body.)
2. Your bracket may be on all 4 sides, again not exceeding 14” from the back of the bumper. Square tubing may be used instead of a bracket.
3. Rear Bumper may only have a 6” bumper bracket measured from the back of the bumper.
4. If there are no holes to see inside the frame we will drill one to inspect. We will allow you to weld the hole back shut if nothing is found.
Tires & Wheels-
1. Any tires and wheels allowed.
Rear Ends-
1. You may have (2) ⅜” chains total to hold the rear end down.
2. You may reinforce stock control arms.
Front Suspension & Steering-
1. You may have aftermarket struts, ball joints, and tie rods.
Doors-
1. The doors may be welded 5” on 5” off with 3”x 5” ⅛” patches.
Body Shaping-
1. You may have body crease but absolutely no welding of any crease, etc.
Body Mounts-
1. All body mounts may be replaced with 1” all thread.
2. You are allowed 2 extra body mounts from frame to sub frame with 4” of weld on top and bottom. (The only thing that may be welded to the frame is the 1 inch all thread) (NO WASHERS NO NUTS, ETC) If you are not using the 2 extra body mounts you may have 2- 4”x4” 1⁄4” plates to use how you would like firewall forward.
#9 Wire-
1. You may have 1 location of 9 wire per window opening with 4 strands of 9 wire.
Trunks & Hatches-
1.Trunks may be 90 degrees tucked. Or you may dish/ canoe your trunk lid.
2. You may weld your trunk lid shut in (6) spots using up to 3”x5”x1/8” patches on the factory seam.
3. You can fold hoods or trunk lid over. Do not slide your hood or trunk forward or back, the trunk must remain on hinges. Trunk lids must be stock shape but may be folded in but keep it clean.
4. (2) 1” All-thread may go from the trunk lid to the frame or trunk pan. Only 4” of weld on the frame and threaded rod must stay vertical. Threaded rod cannot extend past the frame.
FWD Weld
Hoods-
1. Hoods may be secured in one of the following ways:
2. You may have (2)- 1” threaded rod that run through the front body mount. Your other 4 tie downs may go to the body only with one of the following 2” X 2” 1⁄4” angle iron with a bolt, 4 spots of 4 strands of 9 wire, 4 spots with 3/8 chain, or 4 spots of 1” threaded rod 8” pieces. These pieces cannot exceed 8” long.
3. If you don’t use the threaded rod you may use 4 spots of body to the body of one of the following: 2x2 1⁄4” angle iron with a bolt, 4 spots of 4 strands of 9 wire, or 4 spots of 3/8 chain.
4. You may have a total of 10- ⅜” bolts to bolt the hood back together in openings.
5. Your factory hinges do not count as a hood tie down.
Wheel Wells-
1. 5- 3/8th bolts per wheel well with standard washers.
Rust Repair-
1. You may only fix the floors where your feet, battery box, gas tank, etc (safety locations only)
2. If the frame is rusty please contact the inspector listed at the end of the rules.
Cage-
1. All cage material can be no larger than 6” OD, unless specified for a specific rule smaller or larger. All cage material must be a minimum of 4” off the floor everywhere except the down legs going straight down. No cage material can be within 6” of the firewall and any part of the engine or components, and all cage material must be a minimum of 4” off the transmission tunnel which
cannot be altered.
2. You may weld a bar behind the seat from doorpost to doorpost, it can be an X, but do not connect directly to the frame. You may also have a single bar (with no extensions), across your dash area to replace your dash. You may run (2) bars connecting the dash bar and seat bar inside of the front doors only. You may weld (2) down bars from the cage to the body vertically or to the floor to protect batteries and your feet. These down bars must remain behind the inside door seam and can only be welded to the top side of the frame. These bars cannot exceed 2”x 3”.
3. Sidebars may be up to 6”x6”, and cannot exceed 62” long, including the rollover bar.
4. You must have a roll loop behind the seat, which must be welded to the floor or frame and may be welded or bolted to the roof.
Gas Tank Protector-
1. Gas tank protector cannot attach to anything other than your cage. It must be centered between your frame humps. It cannot exceed 32” wide. It can angle in from your rollover protection. Gas tank protector may be tight to the tin. The bracing must be 4” above all floor sheet metal, which cannot be removed, measured from the highest flat area of the floor in the rear seat area. Gas tank protector must be on all 4 sides of the tank, front, back, both sides. Gas tank protector may extend 6” above the speaker deck.
2. If running a wagon you must follow the sedan rules. We will measure it as a sedan.
Rear Window Bars-
1. You may have 2”x 2” window bar with 6” on the roof and 6” on the trunk. The 6” on the roof and
trunk need be from the window opening.
Front Window Bars-
1. You may have 2 locations of 3/8 chain, 2 locations of 4 strands of 9 wire, or 2- 3/8th 3” flat steel window bar.
2. Must be within 6” of the window opening.
Motors-
1. Motor mounts can either be reinforced or replaced with 2”x2” square tubing.
2. You may run headers.
3. Carbing EFI motors is allowed
4. NO full engine cradle allowed, but you are allowed a basic halo to protect the carb. (ex: the top half of the full cradle could be used as a carb protector nothing is allowed on the lower half of the engine. No tranny brace)
5. Header protectors are allowed.
Radiator-
1. You may run any radiator.
2. You may run an ⅛” radiator protector on the front side of the core support, running from the inside frame rail to the inside frame rail.
3. No radi barrels allowed.
FWD Weld
Interior Equipment:
1. You may have the following: an aftermarket steering column, shifter, gas and brake, transmission cooler, and battery box.
2. All equipment must be fashioned tightly to the vehicle! * We do not want to see anything come
loose during the event, if it does, your stick will be pulled. Ratchet straps will only be sufficient as a backup.
3. You cannot use any interior equipment to strengthen the car in any way. If any equipment is
deemed to strengthen the vehicle, you will be required to relocate it.
4. All battery boxes and gas pedal/brake pedal must be bolted to sheet metal only; they cannot be attached to the frame or cross member in any way. No Larger than 1⁄2” bolts and standard washers may be used to mount items (No full plate washers underneath).
Gas Tank-
1. 15-gallon tank max, Fuel cells must be well constructed and out of durable material. No plastic
tanks, metal is preferred, boat tank type is fine. Any splashing, spilling, or leaking of fuel will result
in a broken flag. Fuel cells are recommended to be mounted to the gas tank protector/ cage. No
“Gas Tank Holders”. Fuel lines must be secured.
2. Fuel tank must be bolted or chained in place with a floor mat covering it. No ratchet straps unless it is a secondary device.
Pre-Ran:
1. All pre-ran cars get 4- 6x6 1/8 plates
General Rules-
1. FWD ONLY!!
2. No Fresh Paint or Undercoating on the frames at all. No buffing or grinding frames or bodies except where welding is specifically allowed in these rules. No painting on the interior of the car.
3. All cars must be stock, unless modification is stated in the rules.
4. All glass, plastic, chrome, and interior must be removed from the car before arriving at the derby.
5. All trailer hitches and braces must be removed.
6. Batteries must be moved to the passenger front floorboard. They must be properly secured and covered.
7. You must have a number in bright colors on each front door and must have at least the size of a 15”x15” sign on the roof of your car with the car number on it for judging and recognition of the car. You cannot use the roof sign to strengthen the car.
8. All cars must have working brakes.
9. NO welding other than what is mentioned in this set of rules. If your car is found with any welds, other than what is allowed, and you refuse to fix it to the judge’s satisfaction, you and your car will not run!!
Shortening-
You may shorten up to the core support.
Bumper-
1. You may have a car, manufactured or loaded bumper, seam welded is fine!!
2. If running a tube bumper the ends of the tube may be cut and curled towards the cab of the vehicle.
Bumper Brackets-
1. You get a 14” bumper bracket, this will be measured from the back of the bumper. Anything past 14” will need to be cut off. Bumper bracket thickness may not exceed 3/8” thick. Cannot exceed the height of the frame (for example: a Camry frame rail is taller than a W Body, so the plating on a Camry will be taller than the plating on a W Body.)
2. Your bracket may be on all 4 sides, again not exceeding 14” from the back of the bumper. Square tubing may be used instead of a bracket.
3. Rear Bumper may only have a 6” bumper bracket measured from the back of the bumper.
4. If there are no holes to see inside the frame we will drill one to inspect. We will allow you to weld the hole back shut if nothing is found.
Tires & Wheels-
1. Any tires and wheels allowed.
Rear Ends-
1. You may have (2) ⅜” chains total to hold the rear end down.
2. You may reinforce stock control arms.
Front Suspension & Steering-
1. You may have aftermarket struts, ball joints, and tie rods.
Doors-
1. The doors may be welded 5” on 5” off with 3”x 5” ⅛” patches.
Body Shaping-
1. You may have body crease but absolutely no welding of any crease, etc.
Body Mounts-
1. All body mounts may be replaced with 1” all thread.
2. You are allowed 2 extra body mounts from frame to sub frame with 4” of weld on top and bottom. (The only thing that may be welded to the frame is the 1 inch all thread) (NO WASHERS NO NUTS, ETC) If you are not using the 2 extra body mounts you may have 2- 4”x4” 1⁄4” plates to use how you would like firewall forward.
#9 Wire-
1. You may have 1 location of 9 wire per window opening with 4 strands of 9 wire.
Trunks & Hatches-
1.Trunks may be 90 degrees tucked. Or you may dish/ canoe your trunk lid.
2. You may weld your trunk lid shut in (6) spots using up to 3”x5”x1/8” patches on the factory seam.
3. You can fold hoods or trunk lid over. Do not slide your hood or trunk forward or back, the trunk must remain on hinges. Trunk lids must be stock shape but may be folded in but keep it clean.
4. (2) 1” All-thread may go from the trunk lid to the frame or trunk pan. Only 4” of weld on the frame and threaded rod must stay vertical. Threaded rod cannot extend past the frame.
FWD Weld
Hoods-
1. Hoods may be secured in one of the following ways:
2. You may have (2)- 1” threaded rod that run through the front body mount. Your other 4 tie downs may go to the body only with one of the following 2” X 2” 1⁄4” angle iron with a bolt, 4 spots of 4 strands of 9 wire, 4 spots with 3/8 chain, or 4 spots of 1” threaded rod 8” pieces. These pieces cannot exceed 8” long.
3. If you don’t use the threaded rod you may use 4 spots of body to the body of one of the following: 2x2 1⁄4” angle iron with a bolt, 4 spots of 4 strands of 9 wire, or 4 spots of 3/8 chain.
4. You may have a total of 10- ⅜” bolts to bolt the hood back together in openings.
5. Your factory hinges do not count as a hood tie down.
Wheel Wells-
1. 5- 3/8th bolts per wheel well with standard washers.
Rust Repair-
1. You may only fix the floors where your feet, battery box, gas tank, etc (safety locations only)
2. If the frame is rusty please contact the inspector listed at the end of the rules.
Cage-
1. All cage material can be no larger than 6” OD, unless specified for a specific rule smaller or larger. All cage material must be a minimum of 4” off the floor everywhere except the down legs going straight down. No cage material can be within 6” of the firewall and any part of the engine or components, and all cage material must be a minimum of 4” off the transmission tunnel which
cannot be altered.
2. You may weld a bar behind the seat from doorpost to doorpost, it can be an X, but do not connect directly to the frame. You may also have a single bar (with no extensions), across your dash area to replace your dash. You may run (2) bars connecting the dash bar and seat bar inside of the front doors only. You may weld (2) down bars from the cage to the body vertically or to the floor to protect batteries and your feet. General Rules
No Imperials
Should be easy to throw together builds.
All #9 wire used can be 3 strands, and the chain can be a maximum size of 7/16.”
IF NOT SPECIFIED IN THE RULES DON’T ASSUME YOU CAN DO IT.
Cars must remain stock unless specified in the rules.
No welding unless the rules say.
If not built to rules, expect to cut.
No custom-built radiators.
Drivetrain
Any engine/transmission combination can be used.
Equipment allowed: weld on center for rims, aftermarket gas, and brake pedals, (may not strengthen car), shifters, headers, lower cradle, sliders, and pinion brake.
Equipment NOT ALLOWED: Distributor protectors, transmission braces, carb protectors.
You may use one 2 X 2 X ¼” piece of square tubing for a transmission cross member. Tubing must go straight across from the frame rail to frame rail, with absolutely no kickers on the cross member. Crossmember may be welded or bolted into place. Mount cross member on top of (1) 3 x 3 x 6” piece of angle iron on both ends. NOTHING else
can be attached to the cross member besides the transmission mount.
You may use any air-filled tire. No solid tires, Doubles are okay. May use washers, large lug nuts, and wheel studs. You must remove wheel weights.
You may cut the firewall for the distributor to pass through.
No braced rear ends
Gas Tank/ Battery Box
Stock gas tanks must be removed. The fuel tank must be strapped securely in the backseat of the car, no bungee straps. Must be properly covered with non-flammable material and cannot be connected to the frame in any way.
The battery box must be placed on the passenger’s side floorboard and properly secured to sheet metal only.
Steering/Suspension
You may run an aftermarket steering column, you may add U-joints to stock columns.
No aftermarket spindles, A-arms, idler arms, center links, pitman arms, or homemade shocks. You may swap steering boxes if they bolt on. All steering components from the steering box to the spindle must be stock and not reinforced in any way.
The sway bar must be bolted.
Suspension may be welded or bolted. If welding suspension you can use a maximum of 2 X 4 X ¼” strap. (2) per A-arm (tops or bottom only NOT BOTH!!!)
Control arms may not be strengthened in any way.
You may run (1) Chain per side around the rear end and up to the package tray.
You can have (3) leaf spring clamps in front of the axle and (3) behind the axle. Stock leaf springs only, no truck springs.
Stock shocks only, no homemade shocks or filling of shocks allowed.
You may swap A-arms from car to car if they bolt on using factory mounts. No modification of the factory A-arms frame mounts is allowed.
2003 and newer Fords must run factory steering and suspension components unless specified in the rules.
Bumper/Frames
Bumpers can be seam welded. No adding points or changing the geometry of the factory bumpers.
May use 4 X 6 X ¼” maximum square tubing for the bumper. No longer than a factory bumper, and it must be completely straight. ¼ X 4” tall X 6” bumper bracket to weld the bumper on.
No Chrysler pointys, no manufactured pointys.
May run bumper shocks if factory to the car.
Hard nosing is allowed. You may only shorten to the core support.
You must have a chain or wire in two places to help hold on front and back bumpers. No welding anything to the frame.
No hump plates.
Pre-ran cars can have (2) 5 X 5 X ¼” fix-it plates. Must stay 5 X 5 X ¼” no splitting up.
Cage/Driver Safety
Cage material can be a maximum of 6” in diameter, and the cage cannot connect to the frame.
A 4-point floating cage is allowed. This CAN NOT be done in a way to strengthen the frame in any way. Door bars may not run further forward than the firewall and cannot go further back than the middle of the backdoors.
Gas tank protectors are allowed, and cannot be connected to the tray package or tray body. The gas tank protector must come off of the back seat bar. It must be narrower than the frame rails at the humps. NO BEATING of sheet metal to get it closer to the package tray.
You may run driver window netting in the driver's window only.
The front window bar must go from the cowl to the roof only. They CAN NOT be connected to the cage. A maximum of 4” welds on cowls, these cannot be used to strengthen the car.
Body
Doors may be chained, wired, or welded shut. 2 chains/wire strands or patches per door seam. Patches can be maximum of 4 X 4 X ¼.” The driver’s door may be welded solid.
No creasing, welding, or bolting of body seams unless specified.
Speaker deck/trunk may be dished a maximum of 4” from factory location. Use a straight piece of material to check your measurement. Rear quarter panels may also be dished and creased.
Trunks may be tucked.
Trunks may be held down in 6 places with bolts, chains, or patches. Patches may not be longer than 4 X 4 X ¼.” Bolts must go from sheet metal to sheet metal only. 2 bolts may run from the trunk floor to the frame, and the other 4 must be connected to the trunk lid lip. Maximum of ¾” sized bolts may be used. Washers for bolts can be a maximum size of 4 X 4 X ¼.” Only 2 can be connected to the frame.
Hood may be held down in 6 locations maximum. Can be chained/wired or bolted. Maximum of ¾” bolts. Hood hinges do not count against you for these locations. A maximum 3 X 3 X ¼” angle iron may be welded to the fenders or top of the hood to bolt your hood down.
You may run ¾” threaded rod through the core support mounts and through the hood. This counts as 2 of your 6 hold downs. No other hood hold-downs can be connected to the frame. NO lifting core support, must stay stock height.
May use up to 4 ⅜” diameter bolts to bolt front clip together in areas of your choosing. Sheet metal to sheet metal only, no added steel or relocating of factory brackets to strengthen.
Rear wheel walls may be bolted together in 4 spots with bolts no bigger than ⅜” in diameter.
No shortening of front clip or relocating of core support.
The hood can have a maximum of (8) ⅜” bolts in it to hold the seam together.
May notch/prebend rear frame rail.
Must leave stock body mounts in.
