Hey all, Just got my first PT Cruiser, Heard they are tough cars if built right.... So I'd like to build it right...
I mostly build cavi's, have other things but no wagons or anything like this. Most cars I put 4 all thread through the hood to the frame, and at least two smaller carriage bolts for the hood back farther near the strut tower. Weld my big Impala bumper to square tubing, shoved to the max 6" allowed into the frame. Add metal to the tie rods, and of course remove ant unnecessary clutter under the hood.
Weld trunk, or in this case, tailgate, 6 on 6 off is what's allowed. I normally would put two or four pieces of all thread through trunk to floor, in addition to welding, but not sure if I can put all thread in this.
Leave the back bumper on it, or take it off?
What else might I need to be doing specifically with these?

Back ends are very tough. Needs a LOT of plate up front to be competitive. If left alone, the stock transmission mount will bust the transmission when the nose bends.

I'd like to run this in a stock class this time... It's all I get time to build anymore. What do y'all think if I ran this in a chain and wire class?

Long as you don't mind keeping it in reverse.
