RULES:
1. Cars 73 and newer No 03 up fords, No Sadagons, No Imperial subs, No front wheel drive, No
taxi cabs, No hearse, No ambulance, No four wheel drive or awd. Must be an American made passenger car.
2. Engine and transmission: Any engine and trans accepted, aftermarket bell housings allowed,
NO reinforcing past transmission front pump bolts. No oil pan protectors. No transmission protectors. If we cannot see with scope or feel you may be asked to cut hole in trans tunnel for inspection.
3. Rear end: Rear end may be welded and rear end housing brace is allowed. Rear end brace is for rear end only not to be mounted to reinforce car. Gears may be changed. 8 lug 3/4 rear ends are allowed.
4. Suspension: No air shocks, No solid shocks. NO reinforcing A arms. A arm can be bolted down with 5/8 bolt max or 2-2"x3"x1/4" plate per A arm. Don't make this complicated.
5. Upper trailing arms: Trailing arms may be boxed in. Can also be extended. Can replace with 2 x 2 square tubing.
6. Watts link conversions: Watts link conversions are allowed. Bolt on style kit only. Kit not mounted to reinforce frame. ( This kit comes with square tubing and can be used on watts link conversion)
7. Tie rods: Can be after market. No heim's. Factory appearing ends.
8. Ball joints: Moog style ball joint replacements.
9. No aftermarket spindles.
10. Springs: Front springs have to be single set no doubling. Only Aftermarket twist in spacers allowed. No homemade one allowed. Old iron leaf springs must remain stock and in the cars factory location.
11. Transmission coolers: Conventional transmission coolers with or without fans, or ice type coolers are allowed. Ice type coolers cannot be mounted to reinforce car.
12. Battery and Battery Box: Battery must be relocated inside of the car and cannot be mounted to reinforce car. 1 or 2 batteries. 12 volt or 24 volt. Batteries Must be Covered and Secure. Battery box and pedals cannot act as a kicker. Ski Inc style pedals are ok. They CAN'T bolt through fire wall. Have to be mounted through floor board sheet metal ONLY or free floating off the cage. Do Not mount to reinforce car in any way.
13. Gas Tank: Factory fuel tanks must be removed. Metal racing tanks and metal boat tanks only. Has to be mounted securely inside the car. Do not mount tank to reinforce car in any way.
14. Gas Tank Protector: 2in x 2in square tubing up to cage size metal. Can not be attached to anything but cage. Must be centered on seat bar between humps. Protector can not be any wider than 24 inches. It can have angle bars from where roll over bar attaches to seat bar to back of protector. There can be 2 bars on the back of protector ( with bar attaching them at the top ) that go up towards roof, 3 inches away from roof sheet metal. ( This needs to be welded to the top of protector to keep your 3 inches from package tray ) This part of the protector can have a 2in x 2in bar or cage size material on each side of tank going from the back 2 bars back to the back of seat bar. Protector has to be 3 inches from package tray sheet metal. Protector has to be mounted 4 inches off the highest sheet metal under the protector.
15. Core support: 2- 3/4 all thread with no bigger than 1 in washers to mount all thread. Spacer 2in x 2in max. 1" minimum 3 1/2 inches tall max no washers on top, bottom, or inside. No piping spacer. Spacer only free floating between core support and whole body mount tab.
16. Hood mounts: 6 spots to bolt hood down using 3/4 max all thread. 2 being the front 2 all thread. The middle 2 can be mounted on a 2in x 2in flat plate with all thread welded or bolted to plate or 2in x 2in angle with all thread welded or bolted to plate. Angle or plate cannot tie fender and core support together. ( angle or plate can be welded to fender only) Back 2 mounts can be welded to back pockets at top of fire wall by cowl. Cannot tie to pocket and fender. 5in x 5in max plate.
17. Hood top plates: 6in x 6in max.
18. Hood hole: Hood needs a 10" hole or over sized header holes for fire extinguisher.
19. Weld all outside door frames 5" on 5" off 3" Strap Max or 3/8 bolt max with 1in outside diameter washer max or chain doors every 10 inches. Door skin and inner door cannot be folded over and welded, bolted or bonded in anyway. Drivers door can be welded solid and plated door only for drivers safety.
20. Cage and Roll bar MANDATORY: 4 point cage- Cowl and seat bar no larger than a 6" x 6" 1/4" thick tubing max. 2"x 2" 1/4 minimum. Door bar 6"x 6" max tubing or 8" max C channel. Cannot go more than 8" past door. Plates for seat bar has to be centered on seat bar. Plate should not extend 8in past door. No larger than 12" x 12" 1/4" thick. Must also be a minimum of 4” off the highest point of sheet metal of floor. Do not measure from floor pans where your feet ride. No cage material may be within 6” of the firewall and be a minimum of 4” off the transmission tunnel. No down bars, bolts, all thread etc to fire wall.
21. You will be allowed 1 VERTICAL down bar on the inside of driver's side and passenger's side going down from the door bar. Down bars must be behind inside of front door interior seam or will be cut out. May be no further back than trans crossmember welded to the top of frame only, no added metal other than 2"x 2" tubing max
22. Windshield bar MANDATORY: 2 " wide 1/4" thick. Has to be 3" away from each side of the Distributor protector on both sides. Can only have a 2" contact weld at the roof and cowl on each end. They can weld it down or use only 1 bolt 1 nut and 2 washers no larger than 5/8 to attach it at each end. No over size washers. Windshield bars may not be bridged or stood up and down. They have to lay flat. Bar from rollover bar to cowl must follow same rule as dash bar. It has to be 6 inches from cowl and cannot be attached to sheet metal.
23. Center of cowl has to have a 3/4" minimum inspection hole.
24. TRUNK LIDS:
- You may fasten your trunk lid in one of the following ways:
1. Relocation of the speaker deck is not allowed. Your trunk lid and speaker deck may be V’ed in the center.
- Tucking trunk lid: The only place sheet metal can be welded is at drip rail only. Sheet metal at drip rail can be welded 5 on 5 off with 3" x 1/8" strap max . ( You can bolt a 3/8 bolt with 1in outside diameter washer max every 8 " in drip rail if not welding. These bolts will not count as a bolt on the bolt limit rule. ) 2- 3/4 all thread behind humps going towards back of car. 6" plate may be used for the top of deck lid. All thread has to be in factory body bolt hole. The 1" washer has to go up in frame. Up to driver which body bolt holes to use. ( from back of humps to back of car). Even if tucked there has to be a 8 in inspection hole in sheet metal of deck lid.. Deck lid can be tucked in factory location or relocated but only place that can be welded or bolted is at drip rail only.

25. Bumpers: Aftermarket or homemade bumpers allowed. Bumper point may not be no more
than 14” from back of bumper to front of point. Minimum 32” wide at point base that way it is
similar to Chrysler pointy. Bumpers can be hard-nosed. Rear bumper can be aftermarket or
homemade for example 74 impala rear replica is allowed. Rear bumper can have a 2" wide
strap 6" long per side. Strap must go from bumper to body sheet metal. Must not be attached to
the frame. ON BUMPERS FRONT OR BACK Do not put just a piece of iron on as a Bumper.
They must look like they belong on a car.
26. Bumper height- front 21" rear 16" Both will be measured at the lowest point of the bumper.
27. Bumper shocks: Factory bumper shocks for the factory car. Has to be mounted in the frame like factory unless car had bumper shock mounted on the side of the frame from the factory. Shock Mount only can be welded to the frame in factory location and bolted through factory bolt holes.
28. Tires no bigger than 16 inch. Foam filled or doubled tires are ok – we don’t want any flats!!! Valve stem protectors are ok. No beadlocks or rim guards, No split rims, No studded tires.
29. NO TILTING. NO COLD BENDING. NO PINNING.
30. 2 extra body bolts per side 3/4" bolt maximum.
- Washers must be free floating .
- Do NOT weld the body washers to the floor. Maximum washer size is 4" on the top side. The washers have to go through the frame on the bottom side with 3" max washer not welded. This is not for replacing factory body bolts this is for down the frame rail. Not in crush box. Anywhere down frame rail behind crush box to before factory body bolt hole before humps. The extra body bolt holes should be just big enough for a 3/4 all thread or 3/4 bolt. The 3 in washers can be on the outside of frame free floating.
31. All factory body bolts and factory body bushings must be in car except 2- 3/4 all thread on core support at stock location. 2 3/4 all thread in trunk area in factory body bolt hole locations. Washers have to be inside the frame free floating.
32. Pre bending any outside body sheet metal is allowed. V ing or canoeing the speaker deck is allowed.
33. Frame Notching: Frame notching rear or dimpling rear frame for rear roll up IS ALLOWED. If you have a bulge in the frame of a pre ran then you can beat the bulge in. Do not square.
34. Frame shortening: Front must not be shorter than front side of factory core support tab. Whole tab must remain intact in factory location.
35. Humps: Humps can be dished only the outward facing side of the hump. Center dishing only. ( 9in from center of hump forward. 9in from center to back. total of 18 inches ) No sharpening or squaring edges. Dish Humps only not past contour of hump.
36. Bolt rule: Hood 10 - 3/8 bolt max. 1in outside diameter washer max. Wheel Well 5 - 3/8 bolt max. 1in outside diameter washer max. per wheel well. Bolts go through sheet metal only. No other bolts should be used other than what is specified in rules. ( 4, 19, 21, 23, 27 and 33) No Pop Rivets.
37. No spray foam around radiator.
38. No number 9 wire period.
39. Crossmember mount: 3in x 3in angle iron max.
40. Crossmember: Factory cross member, 2in x 2in max tubing.
For rule 40 & 41, Run one or the other not both Kicker and DP..
41. Kicker rule only no DP: 2in x 2in max from dash bar to frame back side of A Arm no added plate. Kicker to frame only no contact to A Arm. You can run Engine Cradle, (Only place for the cradle to be attached is at motor mount.) Pulley Protector, (Cannot be attach to sway bar or used to reinforce car in any way.) Carburetor Protector and Header Protector, (Cannot be attached to anything for reinforcement of the car.) Mid Plate, (If running a mid plate. Fire wall sheet metal has to be cut out wider than mid plate.) Do NOT Run Distributor Protector.
-Re stubbing Kicker cars: Can be re stubbed at crossmember. Butt weld only. No repair plate on fresh stub other than the 3in x 3in max angle iron for cross member tab only. No tilting.
42. Distributor protector rule only no kicker: Distributor protectors allowed, must be attached to engine or transmission only, backside of DP must be no wider than 12 inches, must not contact cage before, during or after the event or you will be disqualified. If you run a DP. Do not mount your dash bar closer than 6 inches from middle of firewall. It may not be welded, bolted or connected to body, hood or frame. Engine Cradles are allowed. Only place for the cradle to be attached to car is at motor mount. Pulley Protectors Bolt on or weld on are allowed. Attached to cradle only. Cannot be attached to sway bar or used to reinforce car in any way.
-Re stubbing DP cars: Can be re stubbed at crossmember. Butt weld only. No repair plate on fresh stub other than the 3in x 3in max angle iron for cross member tab only. No repair plate on fresh stub. Push firewall back out 4in minimum no more than 6in maximum distance from dash bar when re stubbing. No tilting.
43. No undercoating, mudding, greasing, dusting, or painting the frame.
44. Plate Rule. 3 - 4in x 4in 1/4in thick max PER FRAME RAIL. Must be a 4in x 4in square. Will allow the plate to be bent not cut and manipulated.
45. No hitting in drivers door, this rule will be strictly enforced. Accidents do happen but there must be evidence of trying to avoid the collision. The drivers door can not be used as a shield.
46. ALL FEATURE Winning cars will be inspected by the track officials. HOODS will be popped. If you are found illegal. Then you will be disqualified and all winners move up.
47. If you don't like people looking at your car this is not the derby for you!
48. NO ALCOHOL ALLOWED!!! The Sheriff's Department will be present for the event.
49. The rules are not to be tested, just your driving skills.
50. Registration at the gate will be $50.00 for car and driver. Inspection starts 3:45 and guys DO NOT drag in last minute. (NO ONE UNDER THE AGE OF 16 IN THE PITS)
51. Drivers Must wear Seat belts, Helmet, and eye protection when operating the vehicle. This will be checked in inspection and at the gate. You will not run if you do not comply.
52. Drivers must remain in cars until race is over or directed to leave by track officials.
53. All drivers must attend the drivers meetings.
54. Any car that catches on fire 2 times in the race will be disqualified.
55. No hot rodding in the pits.
56. Inspection: Starts at 3:45. If something is found illegal on your car you will have 2 times through tech line total. If you do not have your problem fixed completely on second pass through tech line you will lose your entry fee and will not run. Rules will not be tested.
57. If something is noticed at the track gate, on the track or when pulling off the track that is illegal on your car your stick will be broke and car will be loaded on trailer. You will lose your chance to run and your entry fee. If in feature and you are a money car found illegal, you will be disqualified and lower winning car will move up to money.
58. THERE WILL NOT BE ANY VOTE INS!!!! If your car is not right it will not run !!!! INSPECTORS HAVE FINAL SAY !!!! If you have a question or are unsure about something call that's why our phone numbers are on here. Call so we don't have a issue in inspection line.
59. You have two minutes to make a hit. If car stalls, an aggressive hit must be made every minute.
60. If any spectator or driver enters the arena to initiate conflict with another driver or official during the event, the driver of the car the spectator is there with will be disqualified from the derby for that night and lose any position, money, trophies, or points earned that night and escorted off property by the law.
61. Final cars will be inspected before winners are announced.
62. Final say is up to judges.

35. Humps: Humps can be dished only the outward facing side of the hump. Center dishing only. ( 9in from center of hump forward. 9in from center to back. total of 18 inches ) No sharpening or squaring edges. Dish Humps only not past contour of hump.
36. Bolt rule: Hood 10 - 3/8 bolt max. 1in outside diameter washer max. Wheel Well 5 - 3/8 bolt max. 1in outside diameter washer max. per wheel well. Bolts go through sheet metal only. No other bolts should be used other than what is specified in rules. ( 4, 19, 21, 23, 27 and 33) No Pop Rivets.
37. No spray foam around radiator.
38. No number 9 wire period.
39. Crossmember mount: 3in x 3in angle iron max.
40. Crossmember: Factory cross member, 2in x 2in max tubing.
For rule 40 & 41, Run one or the other not both Kicker and DP..
41. Kicker rule only no DP: 2in x 2in max from dash bar to frame back side of A Arm no added plate. Kicker to frame only no contact to A Arm. You can run Engine Cradle, (Only place for the cradle to be attached is at motor mount.) Pulley Protector, (Cannot be attach to sway bar or used to reinforce car in any way.) Carburetor Protector and Header Protector, (Cannot be attached to anything for reinforcement of the car.) Mid Plate, (If running a mid plate. Fire wall sheet metal has to be cut out wider than mid plate.) Do NOT Run Distributor Protector.
-Re stubbing Kicker cars: Can be re stubbed at crossmember. Butt weld only. No repair plate on fresh stub other than the 3in x 3in max angle iron for cross member tab only. No tilting.
42. Distributor protector rule only no kicker: Distributor protectors allowed, must be attached to engine or transmission only, backside of DP must be no wider than 12 inches, must not contact cage before, during or after the event or you will be disqualified. If you run a DP. Do not mount your dash bar closer than 6 inches from middle of firewall. It may not be welded, bolted or connected to body, hood or frame. Engine Cradles are allowed. Only place for the cradle to be attached to car is at motor mount. Pulley Protectors Bolt on or weld on are allowed. Attached to cradle only. Cannot be attached to sway bar or used to reinforce car in any way.
-Re stubbing DP cars: Can be re stubbed at crossmember. Butt weld only. No repair plate on fresh stub other than the 3in x 3in max angle iron for cross member tab only. No repair plate on fresh stub. Push firewall back out 4in minimum no more than 6in maximum distance from dash bar when re stubbing. No tilting.
43. No undercoating, mudding, greasing, dusting, or painting the frame.
44. Plate Rule. 3 - 4in x 4in 1/4in thick max PER FRAME RAIL. Must be a 4in x 4in square. Will allow the plate to be bent not cut and manipulated.
45. No hitting in drivers door, this rule will be strictly enforced. Accidents do happen but there must be evidence of trying to avoid the collision. The drivers door can not be used as a shield.
46. ALL FEATURE Winning cars will be inspected by the track officials. HOODS will be popped. If you are found illegal. Then you will be disqualified and all winners move up.
47. If you don't like people looking at your car this is not the derby for you!
48. NO ALCOHOL ALLOWED!!! The Sheriff's Department will be present for the event.
49. The rules are not to be tested, just your driving skills.
50. Registration at the gate will be $50.00 for car and driver. Inspection starts 3:45 and guys DO NOT drag in last minute. (NO ONE UNDER THE AGE OF 16 IN THE PITS)
51. Drivers Must wear Seat belts, Helmet, and eye protection when operating the vehicle. This will be checked in inspection and at the gate. You will not run if you do not comply.
52. Drivers must remain in cars until race is over or directed to leave by track officials.
53. All drivers must attend the drivers meetings.
54. Any car that catches on fire 2 times in the race will be disqualified.
55. No hot rodding in the pits.
56. Inspection: Starts at 3:45. If something is found illegal on your car you will have 2 times through tech line total. If you do not have your problem fixed completely on second pass through tech line you will lose your entry fee and will not run. Rules will not be tested.
57. If something is noticed at the track gate, on the track or when pulling off the track that is illegal on your car your stick will be broke and car will be loaded on trailer. You will lose your chance to run and your entry fee. If in feature and you are a money car found illegal, you will be disqualified and lower winning car will move up to money.
58. THERE WILL NOT BE ANY VOTE INS!!!! If your car is not right it will not run !!!! INSPECTORS HAVE FINAL SAY !!!! If you have a question or are unsure about something call that's why our phone numbers are on here. Call so we don't have a issue in inspection line.
59. You have two minutes to make a hit. If car stalls, an aggressive hit must be made every minute.
60. If any spectator or driver enters the arena to initiate conflict with another driver or official during the event, the driver of the car the spectator is there with will be disqualified from the derby for that night and lose any position, money, trophies, or points earned that night and escorted off property by the law.
61. Final cars will be inspected before winners are announced.
62. Final say is up to judges.
