I will say that the GMs that show up there don’t ever do any good the bubble ford seem to do good

I'd run the 04. Straighter frame up front. Suspension will be the only killer.

If I was running a 80s and up show with those rules stock bumpers I'd be looking for a square body vic, square body GM, or a diplomat.

I have a couple but they were not a easy find nor cheap.

98-02. No welding bumpers on? If not make sure you have a clean steel bumper, knock the bolts out of the shocks and drill extra/replace with thicker bolts. The stock bolts have a plastic backing holding them on and easily break off. Weld the rear gears and replace the pan.
The 04 is tougher up front, but suspension is definitely much weaker for a stock show. Look into the 4.6 thread to see how to move wiring(its pretty easy once you've done it) and let it eat.
Rwd windshield(smashit rules or very similar) is what I primarily run so I can do just a bit more than your rules, but 92-02 is primarily what is run in OH for this class. The vic bubble bumpers will hold up fine for a 1 and done as long as you hit square. They can v in the middle if you take/give a corner shot, but usually flatten out after a run. Can you notch the rear? If not I'd just ditch the trunk lid

I think if I had to run one of them I would flip the hood upside down.
