I'm getting ready to build my first derby truck over the winter it's my 01 ranger 3.0l 2wd has anyone ever ran these and what are some tips and things to look out for. Should I run the stock in tank fuel pump or get an inline, should I build a shifter or will the regular one do I appreciate everyone helping out the new guys I've always loved watching the derbies since a kid and can't wait till next year to run in my first I'm gonna take my time and don't wanna rush that's why I'm starting building over winter and spring next year

I haven't ran or built a ranger before but I've built a s10 with my dad, had a really rusted out bed. Folded right on up and was sitting on the ground with the front end and rear end up. Have fun!

Easier and safer. Make a shifter that wont break or bind up as things bend. Tires don't go to crazy. Stock Axles and stock hubs break. Clamp the leaf springs as much as allowed. Build a good cage thats safe inside and out. I've never ran a ranger buti build everythingelse relatively the same style
