Bought a cable shifter from NLR and mounted it to a 904 today. Been fighting with it for almost 2 hours and just can’t seen to get it adjusted right. I’ve tried putting it in reverse on the trans and shifter and going from there but when I do that I almost have to force it to go back to park. Acts like there’s not enough cable to go all the way back. And if I adjust it so I can put it in park then I can’t get it to go all the way forward into 1st. Not sure if I’m just not doing it right or maybe I have the mount on the trans the wrong way. The cable is almost rubbing up against what I guess is the neutral safety switch. Could I just plug that with a pipe plug or is it a different thread? Anyone have this issue? Pictures of one mounted would be awesome so I have something to go off of.

If I have any issues and or technical support with nlr products I go right to Jon Mewes and ask him, he will always make it right. text or call him and he will get back to you.

Got it all figured out. Called Mewes and turns out I needed a shift lever from a 727 instead of a 904. Put that on and it works great.

Glad you got it figured out, Mewes is a real stand up guy to deal with.
