I was wondering thoughts on running full hydraulic steering? I haven't been able to find much information on here anywhere. What are pros and cons and also any pictures of setups would be appreciated.

I've seen it on a handful of bonestock vics, the guys I talked to seemed to love it. The biggest negative I know from the offroad world is if the motor isn't running, it's nearly impossible to turn the wheels

If motor isn't running is nearly impossible to still compete?
My concern would be that a stock car spindle would be too weak, if the p/s belt comes off your done (there are orbital valves that allow steering when not turning the pump), packaging the ram, rules allowing it to be mounted could be an issue (welding of mounts) among a few other things

Iv seen full hydro steering setups on a couple 03^ vics when they couldn't mount a old style box to the rails. Me personally I think full hydro would be most beneficial in a full weld type class.

Both hydro setups designs I saw were mounted to the stock gbox location. One was just a single ended ram with with a plate on the end that bolted to the frame the other I'm not 100% sure what was going on, but it looked like a stock box as in it had a pitman arm, but was a full hydro steering setup.
When I was talking about not being able to steer without the motor running I was thinking about trying to load after the show if the motor dies.

There was one on a Redneck Rumble car they zoomed in on that had a a gear box with like 4 lines running to it right on the dash bar.
I watched it on livestream so didn’t get to see anything else but it made me curious.

Those lines ran to a steering box down on the frame like factory

Doesn’t the ski inc guy run a hydro steering setup? If so, does anyone knows how’s it’s worked out?

I have helped install a RHP setup. Very nice equipment. No issues so far on that one through I would say 10 runs. Very cool concept and I will be owning one this year after seeing how well it performed last year.

See a lot of guys run them with good luck. Kinda expensive. Seem to work with certain build styles
