Was told to start a thread on 62+ fairlanes and cars that are the same as them because there isn’t one. Admins if you think of a different name for the thread edit it please. Post tips and tricks on here, pics are welcomed too.

So some general quick info and pics I gathered today... they are unibody, leaf springs attach to the unibody frame rail. They have front radius arms like a caddy but a small sway bar. The engine cross momeber is barely connected in the middle so that needs to be filled or plates, whatever someone would feel like doings The front frame is straight as an arrow, 18 inches long from end of frame to front of a arm. From ground to bottom of the little cross member at core support it is 18 inches tall, all the way up on stock suspension and 14 inch tires, the stock a arms have 0 drop to them, just not sure what exactly to do to keep the spindle and a arms in place and to keep them from bending. Usually the spring pocket is there so I’m not sure what to do. Im not sure about the steering box either, not sure if it’s the same as other old fords or what.

Right there under the shifter linkage it looks like it will blow apart.

Ive never built one or seen one but i would take the front frame rails where it "y"'s into the bumper and close that. Then weld some long mopar shocks on it. Thats just me feel free to tear apart my idea

We were thinking a similar thing. Bend the small part of the y to the main frame and weld, then plate the outside. Something like what your thinking

Looking at the pictures, kinda looks similar to a suicide Lincoln setup. But, it looks weak in my eyes. But, we all would love a build thread!

But, we all would love a build thread! well we have decided we are going to build it, unless someone really wants it, 1200 is the cash price up until we start building it. Going to put a doba subframe under it. This would mean all doba suspension correct?

Looks similar to 61-66 tbird but everything is smaller. Steering box looks the same as a galaxie.
