General Rules.

1. JUDGE’S DECISIONS ARE FINAL.

2. We reserve the right to refuse any entry or pit pass to any driver or pit crew member whom we feel will be disorderly or in the best interest of safety for all.

3. We have the right to re-inspect, drill, or cut any car at any time. If you are caught breaking the rules below, you will forfeit any and all winnings you are due. If you stretch a rule, you lose that rule.

4. You may run any 1980 or newer American made sedan or station wagon.

5. Helmet, seat belt, eye protection, pants, and long sleeved shirt must be worn at all times during event.

6. Cars must be stock unless modifications are stated in rules. Cars must have functioning brakes at all times. If you have any questions call FIRST. If it doesn’t say you can do it, DON’T DO IT. No frame painting.

7. Any controversies or protest MUST be brought up in drivers meeting.

8. All drivers must pay entry fee before your car will be inspected. If your car is not to the rules and /or you can not get it to the rules you will not be permitted to run. Your entry fee will NOT be refunded. Build to the rules!

9. 12” x 12” roof sign is recommended. May not strengthen car in any way.

RULES

1. MUST BE STOCK!!! No cross breeding . Entire drive train must be same make as car. (Chevy to Chevy, Ford to Ford).

2. Engine must be mounted with stock mounts in stock position. No welding of mounts, bolted only. No homemade cross members, cross member must be bolted no welding.

3. Doors must be chained or wired, no more than 6 places. No welding!!

4. Trunks must be chained or wired, no more than 4 places. Trunks must be open for inspection! No Welding or adding of any metal. Trunk lid must be in stock location. No tucking, wedging, pre-bending, smashing, or anything else you can think of. No welding washers for holes.

5. Hoods may be wired, bolted, or chained in 4 spots. (1/4’’ chain, 2 strands per hole). Sheet metal to sheet metal only. No welding washers for holes. Must be 12’’ inch hole in hood in case of fire. Must Remove Hood Latch! Hood Must Be Open For Inspection!

6. You may run tire of choice: tubed, doubled etc. are allowed. Must be a stock rim. No plating, reinforcing, or moving valve stem to inside of rim. No valve stem protectors.

7. Gas tanks may be moved inside of car, into the back seat area. Must be a metal tank. May not be your factory gas tank moved inside. If you relocate your gas tank inside of the car, factory tank MUST be removed from under the car. No gas tank protectors.

8. Drivers decision!! -WINDSHIELD MAY BE REMOVED OR LEFT IN CAR.

9. BATTERY MAY BE MOVED TO PASSENGER SIDE FLOOR BOARD. You may extend battery cables to reach inside but must use factory gauge cables.

10. The following must be removed prior to entering the fairgrounds: windows, headlights, tail lights, all chrome, and mirrors. Interior must be swept clean of debris and glass.

11. Stock springs and shocks. No solid suspension. No spring risers, wire, chain, or weld on rear-end or springs. Cars Must Bounce!!

12. Front & rear header panels CAN be removed.

13. CARS MUST LOOK AND BE STOCK!!

14. Do NOT strip under the hood or move anything to another area (except battery)!!

15. YOU MAY WELD REAR ENDS (spider gears) but MUST be original rear end.

16. You may use 1 strap on battery and/or spray foam to help hold it in, if left in factory location! Do not spray foam anything else including fuse box or radiator YOU will be taking it ALL out!

17. BUMPERS- You may run ANY 80’s/ 90’s model stock bumper. You may have 4 - 1” welds per corner to mount bumper.

18. You may notch the rear frame in the rear bumper tube section. This is to help the car roll in the back. This don't mean you can tuck the trunk, this don't mean you can alter the trunk lid in anyway, speaker deck, taillight panel or anything else you can think of. You may remove trunk lid completely. This means you can slice the top of the frame in one place per side in the rear 12" of frame to help it roll. Take advantage of this rule and you will lose the rule.

19. If you are doing anything to alter the car in anyway other than what is stated in the rules don’t, there are no grey areas!!!! Everything you are permitted to do in this class is listed above. If your unsure about something just read the rules. If it doesn’t specifically say you can do it then the answer is NO.

20. Read all the rules carefully and follow them! It will be a cheap easy build. STOCK IS THE KEY WORD!!! Any questions call! There will be NO stretching, bending of any rules. You will go home!!!

2018 BUTLER COUNTY COMPACT TRUCK RULES

General Rules

3. We have the right to re-inspect, drill, or cut any truck at any time. If you are caught breaking the rules below, you will forfeit any and all winnings you are due. If you stretch a rule, you lose that rule.

4. Helmet, seat belt, eye protection, pants, and long sleeved shirt must be worn at all times during event.

5. Trucks must be stock unless modifications are stated in rules. Trucks must have functioning brakes at all times. If you have any questions call FIRST. If it doesn’t say you can do it, DON’T DO IT. No frame painting. All glass, plastic and interior must be removed before arriving to the event.

6. Any controversies or protest MUST be brought up in drivers meeting.

7. All drivers must pay entry fee before your car will be inspected. If your truck is not to the rules and /or you can not get it to the rules you will not be permitted to run. Your entry fee will NOT be refunded. Build to the rules!

8. 12” x 12” roof sign is recommended. May not strengthen truck in any way.

RULES

1. Any compact truck, compact SUV, or Mini Van allowed. Engine of choice V-8’s permitted. You may run engine cradle and protector, may not reinforce truck in anyway.

2. 4x4’s allowed if front drive shaft removed, and no front leaf springs.

3. 23’’ height limit, no lower than 18’’. This will be measured to bottom of tailgate, bumper, or frame. (which ever we deem to be lowest point of truck)

4. 7 leaf limit per side, no leaf over main allowed. Springs must have 2’’ stagger. Spring clamps can have 3 in front, 3 in rear, per side. You may run solid suspension but must fall under these guidelines: Front- may use all thread in place of shock and/or you may have a 2"x 2"x 1/4" plate on front and rear side of upper a-arm. These plates can be welded to connect upper a-arm to frame. Single pass weld only. Rear- may use all thread in place of shock in factory location. All-thread is all that will be permitted in the rear.

5. Rear ends can be changed.

6. Any year bumper is permitted. All bumper seams can be welded. Front bumpers may be loaded, but MUST be a factory bumper. NO HOMEMADE BUMPERS.

7. FRONT BUMPERS…. They may be welded directly to the frame, or you may use 2x2 tubing or 2” round stock for bumper tubes. Your tubing/stock may be ABSOLUTELY no longer than 10” MAX. We MUST be able to determine these are only 10“. Do NOT add any metal or excessive welding when installing bumper. YOU WILL CUT IT OFF.

8. Can have 4’’x 4’’ plate or 4’’ long chain welded from bumper to frame to help keep bumpers on!

9. 4 point cage is MANDATORY. No cage components can be bigger than 5’’ diameter. You may run 4 down bars off the cage to the TOP of the frame, (2) two from dash bar and (2) from seat bar. Down bars must be straight up and down. You may run an extra dash or cowl bar. Rollover bars must be ran straight up and down. The roll bar must attach to top side of your cage. NO KICKERS OF ANY KIND MAY COME OFF THE DASH BAR except the cage (cab) down bars discussed above, that run straight down!! NO KICKERS FROM ROLLOVER BAR TO REAR FRAME!!

10. Cab, can have no more than 8 body bolts. Bed, can have no more than 8 bed bolts. Cab and bed maybe bolted together! Bed and cab bolts may not be bigger than ¾’’ bolts. Bed mounts can be through frame or welded to side of frame! If welding bolt/all thread to side of frame they MUST be straight up and down. NO EXCEPTION. You may only weld 4" of the bolt/threaded rod to the side of the frame. 4" continues. Not weld an inch skip an inch. Up to 5’’ plates may be used for washers. If you are running an SUV you can run 8 cab bolts as long as they are from the bottom of the back seat area forward. From the bottom of the back seat area to the rear of the truck you will be allowed 8 body bolts, same as a truck bed. If you are running a MINI VAN the same rules as the SUV’s will apply. We will use the center of where the middle row of seats would be in a MINI VAN as the cab/bed rules for mini vans.

11. Gas tanks must be mounted in center of bed against the cab, metal tanks only!

12. Fuel lines must be ran under the truck along the frame and must be secure! If a electric fuel pump is used it must have a shut off switch that is clearly marked ON/OFF!!

13. Batteries must be mounted securely in passenger floor. Two (2) twelve volt batteries will be allowed. 14. Rust maybe fixed in floorboards only!

15. Doors must be welded! Doors may be plate welded, plates no bigger than 3’’ wide ¼’’ thick! Tailgates can be welded with 3" wide 1/4" thick plate 5" on 5" off. Not solid. Bed can be seam or plate welded to cab 12’’ per side only!

16. Hoods must be bolted or wired shut, all thread is permitted through front frame mount and core support, no bigger than ¾’’.

17. WE WILL NOT PERMIT ANY WLEDING OF ANY TYPE TO THE FRAMES WITH THE EXCEPTION OF BUMPER TUBES AND ALL THREAD USED FOR BED BOLTS. DO NOT ADD METAL OF ANY KIND (PLATES/WASHERS) AND TRY TO SAY THAT ITS A BODY MOUNT OR ANYTHING ELSE. IF YOU WELDED IT THERE, IT WILL BE CUT OFF. PERIOD!!!!! No metal is to be added to suspension, A-arms or sway bar unless stated above. No body seam welding, no reinforcements to body or frames UNLESS STATED!

18. If you do not have headers must have 6’’ inch hole in center of hood, hoods must be open for inspection!

19. No rolling bottom of bedsides, you may cut for clearance only, no trailer hitches.

20. You can run tire and wheel of choice

RULES

1. All glass, molding, hood latch, gas tank,and interior of car must be removed prior to arriving at event.

2. Stock hood must be used. Hoods may be bolted/wired in 4 places total. Hoods must be open for inspection.

3. Gas tanks must be moved inside the car in the back seat area. Must be secured and covered. Fuel cell’s only. No stock tanks inside of car.

4. You may have a 4 point floating cage inside the car. Cage material can NOT be any bigger than 4” MAX. Cage can not extend any farther than 12” behind drivers seat, and dash bar must not be any closer than 5” to the fire wall. Must remain at least 5” off floor at all locations. Roll bar must be straight up and down, no angling of the roll bar. The roll bar must attach to top side of cage, it can't be dropped and welded to the floor or frame. This cage is not to be used to strengthen the car in any way. NO gussets. You may run a center bar to mount shifter to etc. this is not to strengthen the car ether. Gas tank protector/ holder is permitted. It can go all the way back to rear seat panel. It may not be attached to this panel in any way. The gas tank protector may not be any wider than 24"

5. Radiators must remain in factory location. May be wired in or bungie strapped in. No radiator protectors.

6. Nothing that is used inside of the car ( gas pedal, brake pedal, etc.) may strengthen car in any way.

7. Battery must be moved inside of car into the passenger floor board area. Must be secure and not strengthen car in any way.

8. No welding of frame or body seams will be permitted.

9. Motor and transmission swaps are ok. You can weld in motor mounts. Must use factory frame motor mounts. You may use a lower cradle for motor mount purposes only. If you leave cradle/distributor protector on your engine they can NOT strengthen car in any way, and firewall must be cut out. Dash bar MUST be at least 5” from firewall/distributor protector. Factory transmission cross member MUST be used. If your running a trans brace it may only be attached with 2, 5/8" bolts. Or 2 pieces of 3/8" chain, not both. Absolutely no welding of trans brace to crossmember.

10. Suspension must remain stock. No aftermarket ball joints/spindles, etc. No welding of a arms down in any way shape or form. Springs raisers are permitted. Front may not set any higher than 21" to the bottom of front bumper.

11. Front window bar is mandatory but limited to one piece of 2" wide 1/4" thick plate that can be welded no more than 6" on roof and no more than 6" on cowl. Or you may use a single piece of wire or chain.

12. You may use 2”x2” MAX. for control arms. May not strengthen car in any way. On 98-02 you may use a 2 piece watts style bracket. Car may set no lower than 16" to the bottom of back bumper.

13. FORD ONLY…You may cut factory seam at the box and re-weld to tilt the front of new style Ford’s. You may have 6” MAX , 2” x 2” spacer between core support and top of frame. It may be welded to top of frame only, single pass weld.

14. GM ONLY… GM’s (metrics) can have hump plates that will be measured from the top center of the hump and must start no lower than the center of the frame. Hump plates must be at LEAST 2” from rear-end housing. Hump plates may contour the frame or run straight across the hump. Hump plate must be flat plate with no bending of the plate over the top or bottom of frame. NEW MODEL GM’s (metrics) - ¼” x 6” x 30.

15. Body bolts can be ½” MAX. You must have a 1” gap between body and frame. 3” MAX on body bolt washers. No welding of these washers.

16. You may use rear-end of choice. Rear-end protectors may be used but MUST NOT strengthen car in any way and must be on back side of rear-end housing.

17. Any year bumper is permitted. All bumper seams can be welded. Front bumpers may be loaded, but MUST be a factory car bumper. NO HOMEMADE BUMPERS. DEC bumpers are permitted. Rear bumper MUST be a stock factory bumper. You may chain or wire bumper on. No added material when welding bumper to the frame. You must have factory bumper tube to the car you are running with no added weld. Or you may do away with bumper tube and hard mount it to frame. Absolutely no homemade bumper tubes. You can not weld the bumper to the body.

18. You may #9 wire doors, double stranded, 3 places per door seam or you may weld the doors 6" on 6" off with 3" wide 1/8" thick strapping.

19. You may tuck trunk, and you can sink the trunk but it must stay 10" off the bottom trunk pan. 2 5"x5" inspection holes need to be cut in the trunk lid. The speaker deck can be smashed down. You can not cut and drop the speaker deck, and you can not get rid of the speaker deck. The trunk lid must stay on hinges and in factory location. No sliding it forward or backward and it must remain in the rain channels. The quarter panels must stay vertical. No laying the quarter panels over. You may weld trunks 6" on 6" off with 3" wide 1/8th" plate. No rear window bar is permitted. You may notch/dimple rear frame. This must be contained to rear 12” of frame only.

20. Body creasing is permitted on the rear quarter panels, and trunk area only. No other body creasing is permitted.

21. You can run the steering set up of your choice with the exception of any type of Hydraulic system.

22. You can run the driveshaft of your choice. Sliders permitted.

23. You can run the brake system of your choice.

24. Tire and wheel of your choice.
**** Lincoln's can cut off the front of the frame to be the same as a Crown Vic. This is to be measured from the core support body mount. If it is cut shorter than a Crown Vic you won't run.****

*** DRIVERS… do not read into these rules. There will be 0 grey areas in this class. This is not a Modified class. If the modification that you have in mind isn't in the rules do not do it. The rules clearly state what you can do.***

2018 BUTLER COUNTY YOUTH CLASS Rules

not be allowed to participate. One parent must be present with valid I.D.***

 Ages 12-16                             4 or 6 cyl ONLY, NO V-8's

This class will be FWD ONLY, and follow our 2018 STOCK RULES with the following exceptions...

1. A PARENT OR ADULT MUST RIDE WITH THE DRIVER.

2. A floating 4 point cage with a rollover bar is recommended. 4 point cage consist of a dash bar, a bar behind the seat not to be any further than 10" behind the seat and 2 side bars connecting the dash bar and back seat bar. 1 on each side not to exceed past the back seat bar or dash bar. 4" max size of cage material.

3. You may weld the front doors. ( all others and trunk must be wired )

4. Bumpers must be a factory compact car bumper ONLY. You may weld bumper all the way around at the mounting point of the frame. You cannot add bumper shocks to a car that does not have them from factory.

***Fuel Tanks*** This is the most important rule to read. Any fuel system we feel that is unsafe will not pass. Stock fuel tanks can be left in stock location if they are mounted in front of rear axle. NO stock tank may be mounted in your back seat area. Tanks must be made of steel with a 4 point hold down bolted to floor with a minimum of a 2" washer on the underside of car, if moved inside. All hoses must be double clamped at all connections. Electric fuel pumps must be operated by a switch that the passenger can shut off in case of a fire. Stock systems will simply be operated by the key switch.

2018 Butler County Compact rules.

General Rules.
1. Rwd cars no more than 106 wheelbase fwd. cars no more than 109 wheelbase no full frame cars. 

2. Helmet, seat belt, and eye protection must be worn at all times. Any controversies or protests must be brought up during the drivers meeting. 

3. Any questions call first if it doesn't say you can, don't do it. Cars must be stock unless modification is stated in the rules. No painting of the frames. Judges decisions are final. All cars are subject to re- inspection at any time before, during, or after the event no refunds on illegal cars. We have the right to re-inspect, cut, or drill any car at any time. If you are caught breaking the rules set here forth you will forfeit any and all winnings and or prizes you are due. 

4. All glass, plastic, and interior must be removed before arriving to the event. Cars must be stock unless modifications stated in rules. We have the right to re-inspect, drill, or cut any car at any time. If you stretch a rule you will lose that rule. 


BODY
1. Doors may be welded all the way around on outside of body only with 1⁄4: x 3 wide strapping no excessive overlapping of strapping is permitted. 

2. Deck lids and tailgates may be welded with a 5 on 5 off rule using 1⁄4 x 3 wide pieces of steel or 9 wired or banding in 8 spots. Deck lids and tailgates must be in original location deck lids may be folded down in the trunk, trunk lids may be dipped along with speaker deck. Speaker deck can be removed, but trunk lid can only be welded to quarter panels and tail light assembly only nothing may be welded inside of trunk. Deck lids must be factory for make and model of car. 

3. Hood may be 9 wired in 8 places or bolted in 6 places bolts may be 5/8 in dia. front 2 body mounts may extend through core support and used as front 2 of the 6 hood bolts 1 all thread max you cannot sleeve the all thread with anything from bottom of core support and above. A 12 hole minimum must be in the hood. 

4. No interior body seam welding will be permitted. Doors can be welded on outside of body only. On pre- ran cars the doors may be repaired back to stock. Rust repair is limited to floor boards and roofs only. 

5. you may have a window bar or wire in windshield and rear window if using metal, it can be no thicker than 3/8" and no wider than 3" you may use 2 x 2 pipe. Not solid. These may not touch the rollover bar. They can be welded to roof and firewall no more than 6" from the window area. And welded to the floor directly above rear axle the rear window bar cannot be attached to anything else except for roof of car and floor pan and welded 6"at the rear window on roof and 6 on floor pan. 

6. Hoods must be open for inspection. (12" x 12" hole over carburetor. 

7. cars may not be smashed flat if cars are tucked the rear quarter panels must stay at the factory height 
deck lids must be in factory location (above rain channels). 

8. You can add a piece of angle (4" x 4" x 1⁄4"max.) to top of the core support but can be no longer than 1" 
wider than the radiator no other metal permitted on core support. No other metal permitted to be welded 
to core support. 

9. Original gas tank may be removed and replaced with a boat-type tank or fuel cell Moved inside of car 
behind driver s seat but no further back than rear axle. If fuel tank is in front of rear axle you may leave it in stock location. No stock fuel tanks permitted inside of car. Batteries must be moved to passenger side floor board and securely fastened. 

CAGE
1. You may have a 4-point cage surrounding the drivers compartment with a roll over bar. Bars 6" diam. Max must be sheet metal to sheet metal only. Dash bar must be 5" away from all sheet metal, the bar behind the seat can sit no further back than 12" from rear of driver s seat and must be at least 5" off the floor measured from the highest part of the floor/ driveshaft tunnel. You may use a rollover bar from front side of roll bar across the roof down to dash bar this may not connect to sheet metal. Door bars may be no farther forward than the firewall and extend into rear doors on 4 door cars they must stop 2" from back of door on 2 door cars they must stop 3" from rear wheel well on the body the rear of these bars must be free floating and may not attach to body.
2. No angling of roll over bars permitted. 

3. You may have gussets in cage at the corners. They must be within 6 of corners of bars only no other gussets will be permitted. 

4. You may use 2 down legs to the frame from the rear bar down to frame these must run straight down no angling of the down legs permitted. 

5. You may use a floating gas tank protector that comes off the back bar but it cannot be wider than 24" The gas tank protector or holder may go all the way back to the sheet metal. The gas tank protector must stop at the sheet metal in front of rear axle and rear seat meet. 

6. A center bar from rear seat bar to dash bar is permitted. You may use a bar from the roll over bar on roof across the front roof down to dash bar. Door bars may not extend farther forward than the firewall. 

FRAME
1. Trailer hitches and braces must be removed. No plating, pinning, heat treating, stuffing the frame of any 
kind. Do not paint frame? No welds on frame or K member may exceed a single pass no weave passes 
or building the weld up will be permitted. 

2. No frame creasing or hammering permitted. You can notch or crease rear frame this is to help rear of 
car roll not to strengthen the frame. Frame welding is limited to front and rear bumper areas. you may do one of the following not both 1 you can weld 1 seam per side on body from firewall forward or 1 seam per side on k member with no metal added. Front frame may be shortened to front side of core support. Core support must remain in stock location. 

3. If a frame section needs to be replaced or repaired (rust) you must call first. On pre-ran cars if the frame is shortened in the rear and bumper replaced the bumper shocks may not be located closer than 6" from hump plate. 

4. Angles for cross member can't be longer than 5" and must be within 12" from factory location. 

5. for coil sprung cars you may use a hump plate they may be 1⁄4" x 6" x 16" centered in the hump they will 
be measured from the top center of the hump and must start no lower than the center of the frame. Hump plate must be at least 2" from rear end housing. On leaf spring cars you may use a 1⁄4" x 6" x 10" hump plate to be measured the same way. These hump plates may contour the frame or run straight a 

6. you may clip pre-ran cars with a single butt weld with no metal added must use same make and model of frame all factory holes in frame must remain open no welding these holes shut permitted. To clip a car, you must call to get approval. cross hump. Hump plate must remain flat plate no bending of this over the top or bottom of frame. 

7. K members cannot be welded to body of car they may be bolted solid. 

8. Sway bar and bracket may be welded to the frame this must be in stock location and must only be 
welded to bottom of frame. 

BUMPERS
1. Homemade bumpers are permitted they must be no bigger than 8 1⁄2 at any point no sharp or 
excessive points will be permitted, this will be measured with a fixture bumpers larger will not run no exceptions. There will not be a tolerance for the 8 1/2 measurement. If using a factory bumper it may be loaded or stuffed full. 

2. Bumpers may be no lower than 14 and no higher than 20 to bottom of bumper this will be strictly enforced. Bumper seams may be welded metal may be added to bumper this must be done on the inside of the bumper front bumper only. Rear bumper may be seam welded no metal may be added to rear bumper. 

3. Bumper shocks and bumper brackets may be welded to the frame. Bumper brackets and or shocks must be no longer than 12" in length, 2x2 square tubing is the max size, and welded to inside or outside of frame if welded to outside of frame they must be on the side towards the outside of car. They will be measured from back side of bumper back. You can hard nose the front bumper you may use a 2 x 6 x 1⁄4 plate to weld bumper the frame 2 per mounting point these plates must be on side of frame not permitted on top or bottom of frame. You may weld shock to frame factory bumper shocks can only be 12" from end of frame and may not be moved back on frame.

ENGINE / TRANSMISSION
1. No chains on engine permitted solid or aftermarket mounts are ok. 

2. 4 & 6 cyl. Engines only. Distributor protectors are allowed, nothing that attaches to engine can be wider 
than the stacks i.e. dist. protector, engine cradles etc. or be used to strengthen cars. 

3. Oil pan and transmission pan may be plated the plate used may be only 1 wider than the pan they are 
welded to they may not connect in any way. 

4. No steel bell housings permitted. 

5. You may use a transmission brace these may not strengthen car in any way. The trans brace can only be bolted, or chained to crossmember. ABSOLUTELY NO WELDING OF TRANS BRACE TO CROSSMEMBER!!

SUSPENSION
1. You may modify tie rods. Valve stem protectors are permitted. A-arms must remain in stock 
configuration. Any tire permitted. Rear trailing arms may be home made no bigger than 2 x 2 square 
tubing or pipe. 

2. upper a arms may be welded down with a 1⁄4" x 2" x 2" piece of steel on front and back side of upper a 
arm and you may plug weld the center of the a arm. Lower a-arms may not be welded. Cars do not have to bounce. Solid suspension is allowed. Coil springs in rear may be welded wired or chained to rear end. 

3. Rear end protectors may be used but may not be used to strengthen car in any way. Leaf spring cars may replace broken springs with factory 1⁄4 leaf springs only. No more than 5 springs allowed and must have a 2" stagger and mounted in factory location you cannot change coil spring to leaf spring set ups. 

4. Idler arm must be bolted factory to frame no bolts will be permitted all the way through the frame. Sway bar may be welded to bottom of frame in the factory location you may use a 1 1⁄2 " x 4 bracket or a 2" square tubing or pipe to weld to sway bar to attach to frame. You cannot move the sway bar they must mount in factory location. 

5. On front wheel drive cars, you may reinforce the rear axle assembly with 2 x 2 square tubing, 2" angle or 2" wide flat plate this may not in any way reinforce the body of the car nothing bigger than 2 X 2 may be used. And the 2 X 2 can attach to rear hubs. 

6. Pre ran cars may have 4 fix it plates. 4x4x1/4" thick plates. Must have at least a 1" gab between plates.

General Rules.

1. JUDGE’S DECISIONS ARE FINAL.

2. We reserve the right to refuse any entry or pit pass to any driver or pit crew member whom we feel will be disorderly or in the best interest of safety for all.

3. We have the right to re-inspect, drill, or cut any car at any time. If you are caught breaking the rules below, you will forfeit any and all winnings you are due. If you stretch a rule, you lose that rule.

4. You may run any 1980 or newer American made sedan or station wagon.

5. Helmet, seat belt, eye protection, pants, and long sleeved shirt must be worn at all times during event.

6. Cars must be stock unless modifications are stated in rules. Cars must have functioning brakes at all times. If you have any questions call FIRST. If it doesn’t say you can do it, DON’T DO IT. No frame painting.

7. Any controversies or protest MUST be brought up in drivers meeting.

8. All drivers must pay entry fee before your car will be inspected. If your car is not to the rules and /or you can not get it to the rules you will not be permitted to run. Your entry fee will NOT be refunded. Build to the rules!

9. 12” x 12” roof sign is recommended. May not strengthen car in any way.

RULES

1. MUST BE STOCK!!! No cross breeding . Entire drive train must be same make as car. (Chevy to Chevy, Ford to Ford).

2. Engine must be mounted with stock mounts in stock position. No welding of mounts, bolted only. No homemade cross members, cross member must be bolted no welding.

3. Doors must be chained or wired, no more than 6 places. No welding!!

4. Trunks must be chained or wired, no more than 4 places. Trunks must be open for inspection! No Welding or adding of any metal. Trunk lid must be in stock location. No tucking, wedging, pre-bending, smashing, or anything else you can think of. No welding washers for holes.

5. Hoods may be wired, bolted, or chained in 4 spots. (1/4’’ chain, 2 strands per hole). Sheet metal to sheet metal only. No welding washers for holes. Must be 12’’ inch hole in hood in case of fire. Must Remove Hood Latch! Hood Must Be Open For Inspection!

6. You may run tire of choice: tubed, doubled etc. are allowed. Must be a stock rim. No plating, reinforcing, or moving valve stem to inside of rim. No valve stem protectors.

7. Gas tanks may be moved inside of car, into the back seat area. Must be a metal tank. May not be your factory gas tank moved inside. If you relocate your gas tank inside of the car, factory tank MUST be removed from under the car. No gas tank protectors.

8. Drivers decision!! -WINDSHIELD MAY BE REMOVED OR LEFT IN CAR.

9. BATTERY MAY BE MOVED TO PASSENGER SIDE FLOOR BOARD. You may extend battery cables to reach inside but must use factory gauge cables.

10. The following must be removed prior to entering the fairgrounds: windows, headlights, tail lights, all chrome, and mirrors. Interior must be swept clean of debris and glass.

11. Stock springs and shocks. No solid suspension. No spring risers, wire, chain, or weld on rear-end or springs. Cars Must Bounce!!

12. Front & rear header panels CAN be removed.

13. CARS MUST LOOK AND BE STOCK!!

14. Do NOT strip under the hood or move anything to another area (except battery)!!

15. YOU MAY WELD REAR ENDS (spider gears) but MUST be original rear end.

16. You may use 1 strap on battery and/or spray foam to help hold it in, if left in factory location! Do not spray foam anything else including fuse box or radiator YOU will be taking it ALL out!

17. BUMPERS- You may run ANY 80’s/ 90’s model stock bumper. You may have 4 - 1” welds per corner to mount bumper.

18. You may notch the rear frame in the rear bumper tube section. This is to help the car roll in the back. This don't mean you can tuck the trunk, this don't mean you can alter the trunk lid in anyway, speaker deck, taillight panel or anything else you can think of. You may remove trunk lid completely. This means you can slice the top of the frame in one place per side in the rear 12" of frame to help it roll. Take advantage of this rule and you will lose the rule.

19. If you are doing anything to alter the car in anyway other than what is stated in the rules don’t, there are no grey areas!!!! Everything you are permitted to do in this class is listed above. If your unsure about something just read the rules. If it doesn’t specifically say you can do it then the answer is NO.

20. Read all the rules carefully and follow them! It will be a cheap easy build. STOCK IS THE KEY WORD!!! Any questions call! There will be NO stretching, bending of any rules. You will go home!!!
