Everyone gather around and get nice and comfortable, I have a story for you. So today we were walking through one of our secret honey holes and after spotting 6-7 69-72 caddies several 2 doors, several 4 doors, we happen appone a 72, at first we thought it was a convertible, then hard top, then we thought someone cut half the roof off. After further inspection we found out it was a “T top” or “rag top” which ever you call it. One way or another it’s half hard top half convertible. Just wanted to know if anyone has seen this before or even heard about it. Also is there any differences strength wise? Anyone else who has some similar stories I know I would like to hear them, post away!

I also felt like I should include while we were walking through we found some tree hugging cars This is just one example but there was a suicide with a 4 foot oak growing through the passenger side floor board and several imps with the same thing, there was a caddy that was rusted in half that was getting crushed in between two trees. Weird things happens sometimes I guess.

Usually the half top like that is called a targa top, definitely a bad idea aftermarket idea many moons ago.

Funny thing is that Cadillac didn't even make convertibles in the 70s. They were all done by conversation companies like the hurst, ambulance, wagons, flower cars, and stretched limos. The exception being the fleetwood 75 limo. And the elderado.

Looks like a junkyard that was near me.There was 200 acres of cars all the way back to the 50s,including multiples of every derby car you can think of,all rusted into the ground. The guy wouldn't sell anything- I tried several times. The ass-hole died behind the wheel of his tow truck and the yard was sold to a scrap processor that crushed everything.
