I guess it depends on your driving, if you like using the rear, Id pick a TP Buick Or Olds. If you like front then the 75-76 Caddy. I'm a front end guy but it really depends on the day, other drivers and how the car is holding up. I'll drive how I need to and what is in the best interest of the car.

I've been to their shows was building to their rules but didnt make it to their show with the car. An I'd got with 70s gm or 78 lincoln. The 78 lincoln is a pretty good car to their rules since most hits your using the nose. But the gm is a quicker build. The metric caddy is a good one if an only if you know how to make rear roll tight an hold nose down longer then a new style ford. Also if I remember right you can cold bend to their rules.

Yes, you can cold bend, on metric caddies we set the back up like 70's caddies, biggest thing with the caddies are the humps, thanks for the input

A couple of important rules that I left out was that gtp can be tight against package trey, and can cut frame off flush to core support body mount, going to hardnose bumper. As far as what I'm comfortable with I'm open to building any of these. With having these in the rules as well, I vote the 78 ford all day, everyday. jmo

What are the transmission rules? Mid-plate, bell, tail, protector, Bolted to x-member? lower cradle only, no trans brace/protector dp mid plate or anything which compared to the other rules seems out of place

no trans protection makes the caddy less desirable. IMO
