5 major infraction limit you go over you get loaded!!!! Here is your warning. 2 – 4’’x4’’ ¼” Patch Plates on Car for rust repair or your choice of placement cannot use as a kicker to a drive line component.
**Unlimited 9 wire AFTER all heats.
GENERAL CAR PREP
1. ANY year Passenger car or station wagon only. No trucks, jeeps, Hearses, Limousines or full frame Imperials. 2. Sedagons are NOT allowed. 3. All glass, side windows, rear windows, headlights and taillights, must be removed before reaching the track. Rolling down windows is not permitted. 4. Rear seat of sedan must be removed, top and bottom. On station wagons all seats and decking must be removed. Station wagons must be emptied to the floorboards. 5. Cars must have a seatbelt and working brakes. MANDATORY. 6. Battery may be moved, but must be securely fastened and covered in passenger compartment. 7. TWO BATTERIES ARE ALLOWED. DRIVERS SAFETY
1. Front Windshield Bars are MANDATORY no bigger than 2’’x 2" or 3’’x 3/8” thick flat strap. attachment points 6’’ max. Bottom must start at the edge of the window opening with no more than two bars vertically. Top may connect to rollover bar. May have a connecting cross bar. 2. Rear window bar is allowed no bigger than 3’’ X 3/8” thick flat strap. 6’’ attachment point max. Must start at the edge of the window openings. 3. Drivers Door can be welded SOLID and may have a door plate on inside and out seam to seam. 4. Passenger front door. May have a door plate on the inside of the door.
HOODS
MUST BE OPEN AT INSPECTION!
1. Hoods must have two (2) holes, at least four (4) inches in diameter on each side of the carburetor. Not directly on top of the carburetor. If the hood is removed, either the fan or fan belt must be removed. 2. Hoods may be secured by(2) pieces of all thread outboard the radiator. Cannot be sleeved. *Meaning spacer/square tube stops at bottom side of core support* 3. You are allowed 10 pieces of double stranded #9 wire across the front of car from bumper to hood/core. 4. 2 pieces - 1’’ threaded rod plus (6) LOCATION's 5’’x 5’’ hold down plates sheet metal to sheet metal.
RADIATOR AND CORE SUPPORT
1. Radiator must be in stock position. 2. Any automotive type radiator can be used. Aluminum Radiators are LEGAL. 3. No homemade radiators allowed. 4. No reserve tanks and No added cooling capacity. 5. One electric fan, mounted to the radiator, may be used. 6. DO NOT MOVE CORE SUPORT 7. Factory condenser or 32” wide by 1/4" thick mesh in front of radiator. No thicker, No doubling. May be welded or bolted in 6 - 3/8 bolts or 6 - 1 inch welds 8. Core Support Spacer MAY be Welded. 9. Core support (1” threaded rod max) BODY
Body Mounts
1. You may change body mounts to 5/8 bolts max. No longer than 6’’ and may not extend through the bottom of the frame. MUST HAVE 1’’ SPACE BETWEEN BODY AND FRAME…
2. Per body mount: (hardware other than normal washers) 2- nuts, 2- 5’’x5’’ plates 3/8 thick max, body mount spacer 3’’x 3’’ OD max.
2a. In addition, you may add 4 body mounts (FRAME TO SHEET METAL) of your choice. (MAY HAVE 5/8 BOLTS OR THREADED ROD 3-NUTS 3-5’’X 5’’ PLATES 3/8 THICK MAX) May be welded 4’’max on each side of threaded rod. 4’’ OF ROD WELDED MAX PER THREADED ROD.
3. If you choose to change or add body mount in the trunk, it can be replaced with up to 1” all thread and extend through the deck lid (OR ROOF ON A WAGON ONLY).
4. body mount plates and spacers must be free floating nothing welded to the frame or body unless specified in the rules.
5. Core support (1” threaded rod max)
6. No body seams may be welded. No metal may be added.
7. No doubling of body panels allowed, No added metal allowed.
8. Fenders may be bolted together. Max of 10- 3/8” BOLTS ABOVE THE FENDER WELL.
9. Doors may be chained, wired. If welded 5’’ on 5’’ off nothing on the top or bottom.. seams.
DRIVER SAFETY
1. Drivers Door can be welded SOLID and may have a door plate on outside and inside.
2. Passenger front door May have a door plate on the inside of door.
TRUNK 1. You can weld trunks 5’’ on 5’’ off with max 4” wide by ¼’’ thick strap. 2. You may crease the trunk and quarter panels.
SAFETY CAGES 1. All cars must have a safety cage and roll over bar. 2. A 4-point cage is required. Your cage will and must have a dash bar that must be 4” from the firewall and any protector . Your cage must have a bar behind the driver’s seat. You must have (2) side bars 1 per side and they must not be farther than the rear wheel tub and must not extend past your dash bar. The side bars must not be welded to the rear humps. 3. Roll over bar cannot be more than 6” behind driver’s seat. Roll over bar can NOT attach to frame. Weld or Bolt it to sheet metal only. A 6”x 6” plate may be used in aiding it to be attached to floor sheet metal. Roll over bar can be bolted to roof. 4. The cage can be welded to sheet metal only. You can have up to four (4) down posts, two (2) per side. Nothing can be running between the rear wheel humps or welded to the humps. No kickers to the frame humps front or back. 5. Cage can be made from 4” pipe, 4” square tubing, or 6”x 2” box tube MAX. 6. All down tubes must be at or behind the dash bar, straight up and down above the side rail. Welded to sheet metal only. 7. Gas tank protectors are NOT allowed, floating your gas tank off the floor is NOT considered a gas tank protector.
MUST BE A 4" GAP BETWEEN GAS TANK MOUNT AND PACKAGE TRAY.
FRAMES/SUSPENSION 1. A-Arms can be welded down by using 2 pieces of 2”x 2” x 1/4” per arm (1 in the front & 1 in the Rear) 1. If you weld anywhere else on A-arm, or use bigger strap than allowed…. You will cut it all off and run working suspension. 2. Spring spacers are allowed but nothing allowed above top of spring. 3. Tie rods must have factory appearing ends, No heims! You may brace the center tube with angle or pipe. Aftermarket is fine but must have a factory type end! 4. Factory spindle swaps are ok, Ford to Chevy etc. GM lift spindles are ok (No fabricated spindles)
5. You may Replacement ball joints, screw in or aftermarket are ok 6. You may change A-arms from new style to old style A-arms. Must bolt in factory location 7. NO All-Thread Shocks 8. No welding, plating, or reinforcing of the frame. 9. All factory frame holes must be left open. 10. Any reinforcing of frame found will result in disqualification. NO Fixing Allowed…You Will Be LOADED! 11. Sub frame cars cannot be tied together. If you want to run a full frame car, buy a full frame car, don’t build one. 12. CORE SUPPORT AND CORE SUPPORT MOUNT MUST REMAIN IN FACTORY LOCATION. You may shorten the front frame up to the core support body mount hole. 13. Aftermarket steering columns are ok. 14. Rear frame rails may not be shortened. 15. You may chain or wire your axle to the frame hump. (2 3/8 CHAIN LINKS WELDED TO FRAME MAX) * No opening links to gain length* 16. NO Frame shaping 17. 3’’ x 22’’x¼ hump plate must contour the frame. Must be centered on the hump. 18. You may tilt your frame by cold bending. If you cut the frame to tilt you may only tilt in on place and only cut an re weld 3 sides of the frame. no added metal
BUMPERS 1. Bumpers maybe loaded. Everything inside factory envelope of the bumper. Holes may be plated over or filled in. If you have a homemade bumper it must be approved. 2. Bumpers may be hardnosed, you can also weld a factory shock to or in the frame or in the frame. Shock must touch bumper. 3. If you slide the brackets or shocks back on the frame. **NO WELDING Further than 6” FROM BACK OF BUMPERS FRONT OR REAR** If you have questions about this please call! (317-832-2220) 4. YOU MAY BOLT OR WELD A (6’’ 3/8 CHAIN 1per frame rail) FROM BUMPER TO THE FRAME 3/8 MAX. OR Weld a (3’’x6’’1/4" STRAP 1per frame rail) from frame to bumper and or body. This is to aid in keeping bumpers off the track 5. Bumpers can be no higher than 22’’ from the ground to the bottom of the bumper OR lower than 14” from the ground to the bottom of the bumper.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
1. Any engine or transmission may be used in any car, but must be mounted within 6” of the original motor. Engine cannot protrude into the passenger compartment before the race. 2. Engine and transmission protectors are allowed. As well as aftermarket bell housings & tail shafts. 3. If you are running a DP- You must cut the center out of the firewall/cowl. behind the dp 4. Aftermarket Motor AND Transmission. Mounts are legal. NO Solid or Horizontal Bar 5. Mounts must have factory style rubber or poly mount- ½’’ THICK MAX ON PROTECTOR. 6. Transmission oil coolers and engine oil coolers are permitted. They must be secure and contained and covered inside the car, for the driver’s protection. must not reinforce car. 7. Pulley protectors are allowed, but sway bar must be removed or not able to touch before or after race!! 8. Factory aluminum engine cradles in 2003 and newer cars may NOT be changed. No homemade cradles. please call for engine mount clarification 317-832-2220 9. HOMEMADE Gas Pedals and Shifters Are Allowed, but may not reinforce the car in anyway. 10. OEM crossmember OR 2’’x 2’’ square tube. 11. May weld a piece of 3’’x 3’’x 6’’ angle to frame to aid in attaching crossmember. 12. How far does cage have to be from my trans brace?
-4" gap (Any closer and it is considered a kicker) *not allowed in this class.
REAR END 1. Any automotive or aftermarket rear end. 2. Slider drive shaft is permitted. 3. You may have five (5) spring clamps per spring. Maximum 1" wide 1/4 thick. 3a. 9 leaf max. 5/16 thick 2 1/2'' wide 2'' stagger, stock mounting configuration brackets,no welding if relocating rear mount 4. Watts conversion brackets are legal, must be approved ¼” thick. NO one piece mounts must be separate mounts. 5. You may have reinforced trailing arms. Can not reinforce car in any way must pivot.
TIRES 1. Any Tires and wheel combo must have a tire cannot run just a rim. With exception of NO split rims or studded tires.
If it doesn’t say you can do it, don’t assume that you can. ASK first or don’t do it!
Everybody needs to read and re-read these rules.
If you are found to be over built for these rules, you will be given 2 options. A.
CUT OR REMOVE ILLEGAL PARTS.
B. LOAD ON TRAILER AND GO HOME.

1. Stock gas tank MUST be removed from original position and mounted in the rear seat area and secured. 2. All tanks must be steel or alum. and have a secure cap. A marine tank or fuel cell is strongly recommended. All lines and fitting must be leak proof and meet approval of the track officials. 3. Electric fuel pumps are allowed. Must be covered with nonflammable material. 4. All lines must be run inside car, not along the frame underneath. 5. Gas tank must be 4’’ away from rear package tray/fire wall.

HOODS

(2) of your places of #9 may go to frame or bumper. 3. You may have a single 90 degree bend any way in your trunk lid. 4. Trunk lid must be open. Will not inspect car without them open. 5. NO creasing of the quarters.

You can have up to four (4) down posts, (2) per side. Role over bar counts as 2. 5. Cage can be made from 4” pipe, 4” square tubing, or 2”x 6” box tube MAX. 6. All down tubes must be at or behind the dash bar, straight up and down and above the side rail . Welded to sheet metal only. 7. Gas tank protectors are NOT allowed, floating your gas tank off the floor is NOT considered a gas tank protector. MUST BE A 4" GAP BETWEEN GAS TANK MOUNT/GAS TANK AND PACKAGE TRAY.

No watts conversions on 98-2011 Fords. TIRES

2018 PRO MOD KICKER RULES GENERAL 1) Any American-made sedan or station wagon, No Imperials. A 14“x 14“roof sign is mandatory. No black cars permitted except for past winners. All other cars may not be painted more than 50% black and must have a contrasting color on the other 50%. 2) Cars must have functioning brakes at all times, on at least one axle. Helmet, seat belt, and eye protection must be worn at all times. 3) Any questions call first! If it doesn’t say you can do it, don’t do it. Cars must be stock unless modifications are stated in rules. All glass, plastic, and interior must be removed before arriving to the event. 4) Any controversies or protests must be brought up before and/or during the drivers meeting. 5) We have the right to re-inspect, cut, or drill any car at any time. If you are caught breaking the rules set here forth, you will forfeit any and all winnings and or prizes you are due. Judges decisions are final. If you stretch a rule you could lose that rule. You must pass inspection within 3 times through tech or you will not be allowed to run. 6) Any aftermarket parts must be approved by tech, prior to the show. You must call and submit pictures for approval. Parts that are not approved before the derby, could result in disqualification. 7) No painting of the frames or inside of the car is permitted. Cars will not be inspected if this is an issue. 8) Stock gas tanks must be removed from original place and moved inside the car. You must use a fuel cell or boat tank, securely fastened with no leaks and must be installed in a safe manner.
FRAME 1) Trailer hitches and braces must be removed. No plating, pinning, heat treating, or stuffing the frame of any kind. No welds on frame may exceed a single pass. No weave passes or building the weld up will be permitted. All unused bolts must be removed from frame. NO WELDS ON FRAME BIGGER THAN 3/8” PERMITTED. IF THEY ARE BIGGER YOU WILL HAVE TO CUT OR GRIND THEM DOWN TO SIZE. 2) NO FRAME CREASING! NO BEATING DOWN THE TOP, BOTTOM OR SIDES OF FRAME IN ANY WAY 3) You can notch or pre-bend rear frame section. This is to help rear of car roll, not to strengthen the frame. Top Frame seams from the firewall forward may be welded, top side only, with a single bead of weld. No weave passes, excessive welds will have to be removed. 4) On 02 and older cars, the front frame must be 23" from front of coil pockets (on bottom of frame), to the end of the frame. The bumper can’t slide over the frame. If a frame section needs to be replaced or repaired (rust), you must call first. If the frame has damage in the rear, the back 2 body bolts may be moved, no more than 6" from factory location. 5) For coil sprung cars, you may use a hump plate. All coil sprung cars may have ¼" X 6" X 32" hump plate, except 1977 and newer GM, these cars may use a ¼" X 6" X 38" hump plate. All hump plates must cover the entire arch of the frame and extend forward, rearward, or be centered on the hump. All hump plates must be 2” from the rear end housing and/or anything that attaches to it. 6) On leaf spring cars you may use a ¼" X 6" X 11" hump plate to be measured the same way. 7) All hump plates may contour the frame, run straight across, or work as a half-moon on the hump. Hump plate must remain flat plate no bending this over the top or bottom of frame. Hump plate must be on the outside of frame, towards the outside of the car. 8) You can have a ball joint protector, max 2x2 square tube with 2"x2" contact area on the frame. This is to be used as a ball joint protector. DO NOT ABUSE THIS!!! 9) On 03 and newer fords you cannot weld a spring pocket to frame. You can weld in the cradle and the suspension components from 80-02 ford/mercury/Lincoln, with the same configuration that it came with from the factory. You may do this using a single weld bead, no wider than 3/8" wide and no added metal. The cradle and suspension components must be welded within 2" of factory location. Measure this from the crush box bolt holes forward. NO shortening the frame on 2003 & up. NO filling the crush point holes. You can use 1 piece of all thread, with 4 nuts, and 4 washers per side. They can run from your upper A Arm to your lower A Arm. None of these may exceed 4” in diameter, length, width, or thickness. You may use a 4” wide or round spacer from bottom of frame, to lower a-arm, to set your height. A-arm brackets must be factory brackets and must be used and mounted in the same factory manner. If you have questions on this, call. Nothing may be welded between the mounting brackets. If using the 98 – 02 brackets, they must measure the same from inside to inside, as they do on the factory frame no spacing them farther apart will be permitted. You may run a bolt in style cradle with spring pockets (THESE MUST BE APPROVED BEFORE THEY CAN RUN) the cradle must not add any strength to the front frame beyond what the factory 80-02 cradle would in factory configuration. No welding on the frame to cradle at all. They must utilize the factory bolting locations cradle and all suspension components must mount within 2" of factory location. 10) Frame may not be lower than 14" to the ground. 11) You may tilt the frame in 2 spots per side, no metal may be added. All factory holes in frame must remain open, no welding these holes shut permitted. If you clip a car, it will count as 1 of the 2 tilt spots per that side. 12) If a car has frame damage, you must call first to repair it. Frame spacers for the body can be no larger than 3” in diameter and must be 1” tall. These may not weld to frame in any way. 13) You may clip frames on pre-ran cars with a single butt weld, no metal added. Must use same make and model of frame IE: ford to ford, gm to gm. No hybrid frames permitted. 03 and newer to 03 and newer, 1980/2002 to 1980/2002, old iron to old iron, and metric GM to metric GM. 14) You may also use a 4" x 4" x ¼ plate, welded to the top side of frame on the front two body mounts. These can weld no farther than 2" on the frame behind the body mount bolts. 15) No welding washers, Plates, or anything else not specified, over top of the spring pockets.
BUMPERS 1) Homemade front bumpers are permitted. If you choose to manufacture a homemade bumper, it must conform to the following size limits. It can be no larger than 8”x 8”, except the specified middle section. The point must taper over an area of at least 32” wide and cannot exceed 12” wide (front to back) at the tip of the point. The point may only extend out 4” from the flat part of the bumper. If using a factory bumper, it may be loaded or stuffed full. 2) You may use ¼" X 2” X 6” plate to weld from bumper to frame, 2 PER BUMPER MOUNTING LOCATION. Rear bumper shocks must appear stock (Must be round pipe or factory shock no square tubing will be permitted) 3) FRONT BUMPER, YOU MAY USE A 10”x 2”x 2” bumper shock (square or round) and 4" wide x 3/8" thick strap, extending from your bumper down one side of the frame. On all cars 2002 and older, this plate may be 20” long. You are also allowed to wrap this strap around the front of the frame, 4", to create an "L" shape. This is to give you enough material to weld your bumper to the strap. Plate may be formed but it cannot double at any point. Do not abuse this rule, you will cut it. This strap must be on side of frame not top or bottom. 4) On 03 and newer cars, the 4” x 3/8” thick plate can be 17” from the bumper back towards A-arm. 5) No spacers of any type permitted between the front bumper and the frame, unless specified. 6) Rear bumper must be factory bumper and may not be loaded. You may use a 3”x 10”x ¼” strap, welded from your bumper to the body. 7) Bumpers cannot be lower than 15" or higher than 22" from bottom of bumper to the ground. 8) On pre-ran cars, if the frame is shortened in the rear and the bumper is replaced, the bumper shocks may not be located closer than 6" from hump plate. 9) Front bumper may be hardnosed. 10) You may have a gusset from core support spacer to bumper this must be below core support no bigger than 2” X 2”. Core support spacer must be straight up and down.
SUSPENSION 1) You may modify tie rods or run aftermarket. Valve stem protectors are permitted. A-arms must remain in stock configuration. Any rubber tire permitted. Rear trailing arms may be Home made, no bigger than 2 x 2 square tubing or pipe AND MUST MOUNT TO PACKAGE TRAY, in factory manner (two separate mounting brackets, nothing connected to the humps). Doubling of tires permitted. Bead locks are permitted, no bigger than 21” across. 2) Coil springs in rear may be welded, wired or chained to rear end. No coil to leaf conversions allowed. 3) You may use rear end of choice. Rear end protectors may be used but, may not be used to strengthen car in any way. 4) Leaf spring cars may replace broken springs with factory ¼ “leaf springs only. No more than 7 springs allowed and must have a 2" stagger and mounted in factory location. 6 clamps per side. 5) Sway bar may be welded to bottom of frame in the factory location you may use a 1 ½ " X 4” bracket or a 2" square tubing or pipe to weld to sway bar to attach to frame. Sway bar must be a factory-made car type sway bar. Sway bar ends may be bolted and/or welded to lower A-arms. 6) Upper and lower A-arms must be factory passenger car type, nothing homemade will be permitted. 7) Upper A-arms may be welded down, by folding down the front and rear side of A-arm and welding a 1/4” X 2” wide piece of metal on front and rear side of A-arms. The strapping must not extend more than 2” from A-arm in any place. NO other welding on A-arms will be permitted, unless specified. Do not beat the top side of the A-arm down for any reason. This will be cut completely out or car will not run. 8) Lower A-Arms may not be welded. You can change out the new style A-arms for old style ones. Cars do not have to bounce. Solid suspension is allowed. The A-arm brackets may not be modified in any way and must mount as they did from factory. You may re-weld these with a single 3/8” pass of weld. 9) On 98-02 frames, the cup over spring pockets must remain in factory location, these cannot be removed or modified. These cannot be added to 03 and up frames. 10) No spring spacers permitted on top of coil spring inside of frame. 11) On cars with two separate upper A-arm brackets and a shock tower, you may add a 1” bar or factory wish bone, connecting the two brackets. This must mount between the a-arm brackets and attach only to the brackets and the top half of the coil tower. If this is welded to the frame, you lose it.
BODY 1) You may weld doors, trunk lids, and/or tailgates. Strapping used for welding may not be stair stepped, no excessive overlapping permitted. Strapping may be ¼” x 3" flat stock maximum. Tops of door skins may be smashed together and welded ¼” X 3” flat stock be used 2) No interior body seam welding will be permitted. Doors can be welded on outside of body only. Rust repair is permitted-send pictures to cover your tail-1” overlap and factory thickness. Abuse it and modifications may be required. 3) Hoods must be open for inspection. (12" x 12" hole over carburetor) Cars may not be smashed flat. If cars are tucked the rear quarter panels on both sides of cars must be 6" higher than the top of the bumper. If speaker deck is removed, deck lid can attach to package tray. Deck lid can be mounted no further forward than the coil springs. 4) Must have a 1" gap between body and frame, with a stack of washers or spacer of some kind. These may be no bigger than 3" x 3", NO EXCEPTIONS. 1” body bolt max, must start and stop in factory location. All body mounts must be in stock location. 5) You may have 8 bolts in the hood to keep it secure, bolts may be 1" in dia. The front 2 may go all the way through core support. You may use a ¼” X 2” x 2” spacer through the core support, this may be welded to top of frame and top and bottom of core support only. Spacers may not be lower than top of frame. 6) You may have a front and rear window bar or wire. If using metal, it can be no thicker than 3/8" and no wider than 3". Or, you may use 2 x 2 square or pipe. These may not touch the rollover bar. And must be at least 6” away from gas tank protector. They can be welded to roof, no more than 6" from the window area and welded to deck lid no more than 6" from the rear window area. Metal used for this may not exceed 6" in length on roof or deck lid. If you choose not to run a front window bar to the firewall, you may run a bar, within the same measurements, from the halo, to your dash bar. This can’t attach to the firewall. 7) Deck lids may have two 1" pieces of all thread, connecting the floor pan to the deck lid. They may also attach to frame by welding the all thread to the frame and must be straight up and down. On wagons, these may go through the roof or rear roof pillars from the rear end back. 8) Two 8" X 8" inspection holes must be put in all deck lids, one on each side of deck lid, within 2" of trunk strapping (must be able to see body mounts behind the wheels). Trunk lids must be factory make and model of car IE: GM to GM, ford to ford, no pre- 1980 deck lids permitted on 80 and newer cars. 9) You can add a piece of angle, 4" x 4" x ¼"max., to top of the core support. This can be No longer than 32". No other metal permitted to be welded to core support, unless specified. 10) Body bolt washers may be no bigger than 3” and cannot be welded to body in any way. 11) You may plate all 4 doors with steel no thicker than 1/8”, from door seam to door seam. This is for added safety to drivers. Doors may be plated on inside or outside only not both. Drivers door only may be reinforced any way preferred. 12) You may add 3 bolts per wheel opening.
CAGE 1) No cage components may be larger than 6”, no stacking to make 12”. Gas tank protector 32” wide, outside to outside. Please you gussets to make this safe inside, but safe to get out as well. 2) The cage may have 4 down legs and must be mounted between body mount in front of rear wheels and the dash bar-must be straight up and down. Cage must be at least 4” above transmission tunnel. 3) Cage of your design and gas tank protector may extend from sheet metal in front of package tray to firewall. On non-package tray cars, the cage may extend from the center of rear end to firewall. The sheet metal may not be removed behind gas tank protector. 4) You can have 2”x 2”, pipe or tube, kickers from the front dash bar to the top side of frame, behind A-arms. No other material may be used, they may but up against A-arm and start no farther than 2" off A-arm. The kickers must be located behind A-arm bracket on 98 – 02 or behind A-arm on all other models, closest to firewall of car.
ENGINE / TRANSMISSION 1) Engines may be chained in with 1 chain PER SIDE, standard 3/8" chain max. These chains may be no longer than 16" and no more than 2 chain links may be welded to the engine cradle. NO CHAINS PERMITTED TO WELD TO FRAME RAILS IN ANY WAY. 2) Motor of choice is permitted. Distributor protectors are allowed. Nothing that attaches to engine can be wider than the headers. 3) Transmission protectors are allowed. They may not have extra/extended bracing to the cross member, frame, or any part of the cage components, other than the factory mounting location. Trans blanket is recommended. OEM transmission cross member or 2”x 2” x 1/4” max replacement, straight across. Must be mounted with a ½” space from all transmission protector components, including shifter plate and cross member. Skid plates are allowed. They may be one piece from engine to transmission. They may not extend past oil pan or transmission pan and/or connect to transmission cross member. NO bolting or welding the skid plate to the frame. 4) Transmissions must be of passenger car origin. Transmission coolers may be used, but they must be secured in such a way to prevent injury. Metal or braided lines must be used. No fuel or low-pressure lines may be used. 5) Coolers may be secured in a container in the passenger compartment of the car. 6) Angles for cross member can't be longer than 5", CROSS MEMBER MUST RUN STRAIGHT ACROSS CAR AND MOUNT IN FACTORY LOCATION ON TRANSMISSION. 7) 6. No water coolers permitted or overflow bottles permitted, must be factory car radiator or an OEM replacement only. 8) Engine may be welded solid to the top side cradle, no added metal. Nothing that mounts to engine or engine cradle will be permitted to be welded to frame rails. They must attach only to engine cradle, not frame rails. If using mounts, nothing bigger than 7” X 7” landing pad welded to the cradle. If using bar style, nothing bigger than 9”. 9) Radiator protectors permitted. They must mount same way as factory radiator, bolted in, not welded. You may use 1/8” expanded metal on the core support, in front of radiator. It may be bolted in 4 spots or welded in 4 spots with 1” welds. You must use an OEM core support, no homemade ones will be permitted. Fan shrouds are permitted. they may not act as a kicker in any way or extend more than 2” in front of fan and cannot attach to anything except engine cradle. ***** IF YOU HAMMER / SHAPE / WELD ON FRAME IN ANY MANNER NOT COVERED IN THE RULES, IT COULD RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION****

GENERAL. 2018 compact rules 1. Rwd and Fwd car must be 109” wheelbase or smaller. If car is painted black a 12" x 12" roof sign is mandatory. 2. Helmet, seat belt, and eye protection must be worn at all times. Any controversies or protests must be brought up during the drivers meeting. 3. Any questions call first if it doesn't say you can, don't do it. Cars must be stock unless modification is stated in the rules. No painting of the frames. Judges decisions are final. All cars are subject to reinspection at any time before, during, or after the event no refunds on illegal cars. We have the right to re-inspect, cut, or drill any car at any time. If you are caught breaking the rules set here forth you will forfeit any and all winnings and or prizes you are due. 4. All glass, plastic, and interior must be removed before arriving to the event. Cars must be stock unless modifications stated in rules 5. If you stretch a rule, you will lose that rule. BODY 1. Doors may be welded all the way around on outside of body only with ¼: x 3” wide strapping no excessive overlapping of strapping is permitted. Drivers door may have a ¼” door plate, overlap the door seams 2”. 2. Deck lids and tailgates may be welded solid using ¼” x 3” wide pieces of steel. Deck lids and tailgates must be in original location deck lids may be folded down in the trunk, trunk lids may be dipped along with speaker deck. Speaker deck can be removed. Deck lids must be a compact deck lid. 3. Hood may be 9 wired in 8 places or bolted in 6 places bolts may be 5/8” in dia and max 12” long. Front 2 body mounts may extend through core support and used as front 2 of the 6 hood bolts 1” max, you may also sleeve these with a 2”x2” tube or pipe, must go from top of frame to top of core support. A 12” hole minimum must be in the hood. 4. No interior body seam welding will be permitted. Doors can be welded on outside of body only. On preran cars the doors may be repaired back to stock. Rust repair is limited to floor boards and roofs only. Floor boards cannot be doubled when fixing rust, use 1/8” max material on fixing all rust on floors or roof. 5. You may have a window bar or wire in windshield and rear window if using metal, it can be no thicker than 3/8" and no wider than 3" you may use 2” x 2” tube or pipe. These may not touch the rollover bar. They can be welded to roof and firewall no more than 6" from the window area. And welded to the floor directly above rear axle the rear window bar cannot be attached to anything else except for roof of car and floor pan and welded 6" at the rear window on roof and 6” on the floor. (please call with questions on this location) No window bar will be permitted on the deck lid or hatch. 6. Hoods must be open for inspection. (12" x 12" hole over carburetor). 7. Deck lids may be dished all the way down to floor, but quarter panels must remain in factory location ( Quarters may not be wedged). 8. You can add a piece of angle (4" x 4" x ¼"max.) to top of the core support but can be no longer than 1" wider than the radiator and cannot come in contact with your 2”x2” sleeve. No other metal permitted to be welded to core support. 9. Original gas tank may be removed and replaced with a boat-type tank or fuel cell Moved inside of car behind driver’s seat but no further back than rear axle. If fuel tank is in front of rear axle you may leave it in stock location. No stock fuel tanks permitted inside of car. Batteries must be moved to passenger side floor board and securely fastened. CAGE 1. You may have a 4-point cage surrounding the drivers compartment with a roll over bar. Bars 6" diam Max must be sheet metal to sheet metal only. Dash bar must be 5” away from all sheet metal, the bar behind the seat can sit no further back than 12” from rear of driver’s seat and must be at least 5" off the floor measured from the highest part of the floor/ driveshaft tunnel. You may use a rollover bar, roll over bar may be welded to floor but no further back then your rear seat bar. Door bars may be no longer than 60” and must be welded to front dash bar and rear seat bar, and sheet metal. Do not tie into firewall. You are allowed 4 down bars, these bars must be straight up and down and welded to your frame. Uni body cars you may weld to sheet metal above frame or cut sheet metal away and drop into the c channel part of the frame. 2. No angling of roll over bars permitted. 3. You may have gussets in cage at the corners. Gussets can be no larger than the cage material and must be within 12” of corners. 4. You may use a floating gas tank protector that comes off the back bar but it cannot be wider than 24". The gas tank protector or holder may go all the way back to the sheet metal. You may add 3 1” welds or 2 ½” bolts. The gas tank protector must stop at the sheet metal in front of rear axle and rear seat meet. 5. A center bar from rear seat bar to dash bar is permitted. FRAME 1. Trailer hitches and braces must be removed. No plating, pinning, heat treating, stuffing the frame of any kind. Do not paint frame!!!! No welds on frame or K member may exceed a single pass no weave passes or building the weld up will be permitted. 2. No frame creasing or hammering permitted. You can notch or crease rear frame this is to help rear of car roll not to strengthen the frame. Frame welding is limited to front and rear bumper areas. You may do one of the following not both 1 you can weld 1 seam per side on frame from firewall forward or 1 seam per side on k member with no metal added (k member seam can only be welded on top side of k member). Front frame may be shortened to front side of core support. Core support must remain in stock location. If your frame has a lip you may beat the lip over and use that as your one seam. Do not add anything under lip. 3. If a frame section needs to be replaced or repaired (rust) you must call first. On pre-ran cars if the frame is shortened in the rear and bumper replaced the bumper shocks may not be located closer than 6" from hump plate. 4. Angles for cross member can't be longer than 5" and must be within 12" from factory location. 5. For coil sprung cars you may use a hump plate they may be ¼" x 6" x 16" centered in the hump they will be measured from the top center of the hump and must start no lower than the center of the frame. Hump plate must be at least 2" from rear end housing. On leaf spring cars you may use a ¼" x 6" x 10" hump plate to be measured the same way. These hump plates may contour the frame or run straight across. You may plug weld hump plates to frame. 6. You may clip pre-ran cars with a single butt weld with no metal added must use same make and model of frame all factory holes in frame must remain open no welding these holes shut permitted. To clip a car, you must call to get approval. 7. K members may NOT be welded to frame in any form. 8. Sway bar and bracket may be welded to the frame this must be in stock location and must only be welded to bottom of frame. You may bolt sway bar to lower A arms with a max ½” bolt. Do not weld sway bar anywhere besides what is stated. 9. Pre ran and fresh cars are aloud (4) 4”x6”x1/4” fix it plates. They must have a 2” gap between each plate. ½” weld max around plate. 2 plates per side of car. BUMPERS 1. Homemade bumpers are permitted they must be no bigger than 8 ½ “at any point no sharp or excessive points will be permitted, this will be measured with a fixture bumpers larger will not run no exceptions. There will not be a tolerance for the 8 ½” measurement. If using a factory bumper it may be loaded or stuffed full. Rear bumper must be any stock OEM bumper, it may be loaded but no homemade bumpers for rear of car. 2. Bumpers may be no lower than 14” and no higher than 20”to bottom of bumper this will be strictly enforced. BUMPER SHOCKS 1. You may have 3” X 16” X 3/8” plate welded from bumper to frame with a single ½” weld. 2. You may have a 2” X 2” X ¼” X 12” square tube welded from bumper to frame with a single ½” weld. If you choose this option you may have 2 kickers coming off dash bar welded to the top of the frame 1” behind the strut tower, these kickers can be no larger than 2”x2”. 3. These are you 2 options for the front frame. You either choose 1 or 2 not BOTH!!!!! ENGINE / TRANSMISSION 1. 4 & 6 cyl. Engines only. Distributor protectors are allowed, nothing that attaches to engine can be wider than the stacks i.e. dist. protector, engine cradles etc. or be used to strengthen cars. All cradles must be 1” or further away frame K member. 2. Oil pan and transmission pan may be plated the plate used may be only 1” wider than the pan they are welded to they may not connect in any way. 3. Steel bells are permitted but if you choose a steel bell you may not use a trans brace. 4. You may use a transmission brace, these may not strengthen car in any way and must not come in contact with the cross member. On fwd cars your trans brace must only be bolted to the stock location, using the factory holes in the k member. Do not add any extra bolts in the K member. 5. You may us factory cross member or replace it with a max 2”x2” tube. Cross member may be welded or bolted in. Do not weld or bolt cross member to floor boards, only attach point is to your angle welded to frame. SUSPENSION 1. You may modify tie rods (any after market tie rod is permitted but must have stock appearing ends). Valve stem protectors are permitted. A-arms must remain in stock configuration, A arms may be plated but must remain stock appearing. Any tire permitted. Rear trailing arms may be home made no bigger than 2 x 2 square tubing or pipe. 2. Upper a arms may be welded down with a ¼" x 2" x 4" piece of steel on front and back side of upper a arm and you may plug weld the center of the a arm. Lower a-arms may not be welded. Cars do not have to bounce. Solid suspension is allowed. Coil springs in rear may be welded wired or chained to rear end. 3. Rear end protectors may be used but may not be used to strengthen car in any way. 4. Idler arm must be bolted factory to frame no bolts will be permitted all the way through the frame. Sway bar may be welded to bottom of frame in the factory location you may use a 2 "X 4”X1/4” bracket or a 2"X2”X4” long square tubing to weld to sway bar to attach to frame. Sway bar must be weld in stock location. Your bracket or tube must be in the center of the sway bar. 5. On front wheel drive cars, you may reinforce the rear axle assembly with 2” x 2” square tubing, 2” angle or 2” wide flat plate this may not in any way reinforce the body of the car nothing bigger than 2” X 2” may be used. And the 2” X 2“can attach to rear hubs. You may build your own rear axle assembly but it must be within these guidelines and may not strengthen the body or frame in anyway. 6. Leaf sprung cars may replace leafs with 1/4” leaf springs, max 7 leafs per side. You may have 6 clamps to hold each side, clamps can be no wide than 4” with 2 ½” bolts per clamp. Max 4 clamps in rear. (so 4 in rear and 2 in front OR 3 and 3. Your decision there). You may replace shackles with ¼” material but must remain factory appearing and may NOT be welded, must bolt up in factory location with a max ¾” bolts. 7. All shocks in the rear may be replaced with 1” threaded rod or you may weld a piece of 2”x2” from bottom of frame to your rearend do NOT do both. Plenty of camping: 310 hookups with water and electric. Also, there is 2 dump stations on site as well. WE are working on camping layout and map now.
