After the feature of the limited weld there will be a 20-40 car one shot deal of 80s and newer street stock cars. This class is already full of people that were selected to run this heat. It's going to be epic. You will not want to miss this!

2017 LIMITED WELD RULES
COMPETITION RULES
WE HAVE THE RIGHT TO RE-INSPECT, CUT, OR DRILL ANY CAR AT ANY TIME. IF YOU ARE CAUGHT BREAKING THE RULES SET HERE FORTH YOU WILL FORFEIT ANY AND ALL WINNINGS AND OR PRIZES YOU ARE DUE. JUDGES DECISION’S ARE FINAL.
- Drivers must remain in the vehicle with helmet, seatbelt and eye protection on until notified by an official that it is safe to exit the vehicle.
- Driver’s door hits are illegal. If the hit is deemed by the official to be careless or intentional, you will be disqualified. If you use your driver’s door as a defense, we will not enforce the rules. If you use the door defense repeatedly you will be disqualified.
- No hot rodding in the pits. Keep it at an idle.
- Any open door will cause disqualification, you are allowed one fire, second fire will be cause for disqualification. You may return in later rounds.
- Sandbagging is not tolerated and will be strictly enforced. Locking up the brakes prior to a hit for anything other than a driver’s door will be a cause for disqualification. The fans pay to see a show, put one on for them!
- You must make AGGRESSIVE HIT every 60 seconds.
- You will be given ample time for restarts. We do not use the clock exclusively. We try to work with you if you are hung up. Hitters get more time than sandbaggers.
- This is not a team event; team driving will not be tolerated.
- THERE IS NO ALCOHOL IN THE PITS. This includes pit crews. If you or ANY of your crew is caught with alcohol, you will be disqualified.
- All cars are subject to a post race inspection before any prize money is awarded.
- No harassing of the judges will be allowed at any time by drivers, passengers, crewmembers or spectators. Failure to abide by this rule, the driver will forfeit all money and all involved will be escorted from premises.
-All drivers & Riders MUST be 16 years or older. MUST have a valid drivers license, if 16 years old parent or guardian must be present to complete waiver to participate in derby!!!!
Limited Weld Rules (OLD SKOOL)
AUTOMOBILE BODY REGULATIONS- ALL JUDGES DECISIONS ARE FINAL
1. ANY Passenger car or station wagon only. No trucks, jeeps, hearses, limousines, or checkered cabs. No pre 1973 Chrysler Imperials and no Imperial Sub Frames. No PRE-1973 Lincolns.
2. Sedagons are allowed.
3. All glass, side windows, rear windows, headlights and taillights, must be removed before reaching the track. Rolling down windows is not permitted.
4. Rear seat of sedan must be removed, top and bottom. On station wagons all seats and decking must be removed. Station wagons must be emptied to the floorboards.
5. Cars must have a seatbelt and working brakes. MANDATORY
6. Battery may be moved, but must be securely fastened and covered in passenger compartment. TWO BATTERIES ARE ALLOWED.
7. Front Windshield Bar is MANDATORY and is limited to two 2” wide x 1/4" thick straps or two 3/8” chains or two strands of 9 wire.
GAS TANKS AND FUEL PUMPS
1. Stock gas tank MUST be removed from original position and mounted in the rear seat area and secured. No rubber or chain straps. All tanks must have a secure cap. A marine tank or fuel cell is strongly recommended. All lines and fitting must be leak proof and meet approval of the track officials. Electric fuel pumps are allowed
2. All lines must be run inside car, not along the frame underneath.
3. All lines should be double clamped.
RADIATOR AND CORE SUPPORT
1. Radiator must be in stock position
2. Any automotive type radiator can be used. Aluminum Radiators are LEGAL.
3. No homemade radiators allowed
4. No reserve tanks and no added cooling capacity.
5. One electric fan, mounted to the radiator, may be used.
6. DO NOT MOVE CORE SUPPORT
7. If you use a core support spacer for your all thread to run through, the spacer must not be welded anywhere.
8. You are allowed unlimited #9 wire across the front from the core support to front bumper.
BODY
1. No body seams may be welded. No metal may be added.
2. No doubling of body panels allowed, no added metal allowed.
3. NO Body creasing.
4. Rear quarters may be beat in and rolled for rear tire clearance.
5. Fenders may be bolted together. Max of 10 3/8” BOLTS ABOVE EACH FENDER WELL.
6. Doors may be chained, wired, or welded. When welding doors you may weld them solid 3"wide by 1/8 thick all the way around or filler rod may be used. Both front doors may have a 6” wide by ¼” plate welded across them for protection only.
7. NO Changing body mounts, don’t touch them, except the rear most 4 in the trunk and the front 2 at the core support. These bolts may be one inch, no bigger than a 3 inch by 3 inch washer. THESE NUTS AND WASHERS MUST BE UP INSIDE FRAME!
8. RUST REPAIR WILL BE ALLOWED. NO THICKER THAN FACTORY SHEETMETAL. MINIMAL OVERLAP OF REPAIR. IT MAY BE WELDED OR BOLTED. THIS RULE SHOULD HELP CARS THAT HAVE A RUSTY TRUNK MOUNT OR RUSTY ROOF.
9. 9 WIRE RULE. U MAY HAVE 10 SPOTS OF WIRE IN YOUR CAR. BODY TO FRAME CAGE TO FRAME BODY TO BODY I DONT CARE GET CREATIVE WITH YOUR WIRE. I DONT CARE HOW MANY STRANDS OF WIRE YOU USE IN YOUR TWIST IF YOU WANT TO PUT 200 POUNDS IN YOUR CAR GET AFTER IT!!! NONE OF THE WIRE MAY ATTACH TO ENGINE OR TRANSMISSION PROTECTORS AT ANY TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!
SUSPENSION
1. Suspension must be original factory suspension for that car. Spring raisers are allowed,
2. Tie rods must have factory appearing ends, No heims! You may brace the center tube with angle or pipe. Aftermarket is fine but must have a factory type end!
3. INSTEAD OF FIGHTING SPRING RAISERS OR KICKING FRONT SPRINGS I AM GOING TO ALLOW UPPER A ARMS TO BE WELDED DOWN IF YOU WISH. YOU WILL BE ALLOWED 2 PIECES OF 2" WIDE BY 6" LONG 1/4 " PLATE TO SECURE A ARM. 1 STRAP ON PASSENGERSIDE AND 1 STRAP ON DRIVERSIDE.
HOODS
MUST BE OPEN AT INSPECTION!
1. Hoods must have two (2) holes, at least four (4) inches in diameter on each side of the carburetor. Not directly on top of the carburetor. If the hood is removed, either the fan or fan belt must be removed.
2. Hoods must be open during inspection.
3. Hoods may be secured by 2 pieces of all thread outboard the radiator. Cannot be sleeved.
4. Hoods can be held shut with “one” of the following but not both,
A (8) 2” long pieces of 2” x 2” angle with a single 3/8” bolt thru them
B (8) pieces of # 9 wire attaching hood to fender.
TRUNKS
1. You may use 4 pieces of one inch all thread to secure the trunk lid. All thread must go thru factory rear body mounts only. Washers may be no larger than 3 inches in diameter. No sleeving the all thread.
2. Trunk lids may be welded 5” on, 5” off. 3"wide by 1/8” thick strap only or filler rod.
3. The trunk lid must remain on hinges and rear tail light panel must remain vertical.
4. The trunk lid may be v’d in the center, but must remain at least 10” off the trunk floor.
5. TRUNK MUST HAVE TWO 10 by 10 INSPECTION HOLES CUT IN TRUNK LID!!!
SAFETY CAGES
1. All cars must have a safety cage and roll over bar.
2. A 4 point cage is required. Your cage must have a dash bar that must be 4” from the firewall. Your cage must have a bar behind the driver’s seat. You must have (2) side bars and they must not be farther than the rear wheel wells and must not extend past your firewall.
3. Roll over bar cannot be more than 6” behind driver’s seat. Roll over bar can be bolted to roof in two spots.
4. The cage can be welded to sheet metal only. You can have up to four (4) down posts, two (2) per side.
5. Cage can be made out of 6” pipe or 6” square tubing, MAX.
6. All down tubes must be at or behind the dash bar, straight up and down. Welded to sheet metal only. 8” wide max down tubes.
7. Gas tank protectors are allowed, but you must have at least a 5” gap between all sheet metal or package tray. This is for safety only.
FRAMES
1. No welding, plating, or reinforcing of the frame.
2. All factory frame holes must be left open.
3. Any reinforcing of frame found will result in disqualification.
4. Sub frame cars cannot be tied together. If you want to run a full frame car, buy a full frame car, don’t build one.
5. You can shorten the front frame only to aid in mounting front bumper. YOU MUST NOT TOUCH FRONT MOUNT.
6. Any steering columns will be allowed.
7. Rear frame rails may not be shortened.
8. You may chain your axle to the frame hump. ( 3/8” max chain)
9. The only welding permitted on the frame is bumpers and motor mounts.
BUMPERS
1. OEM STOCK shock canister only. ANY BUMPER ON ANY CAR.
2. Bumpers may be welded on. Weld them on good, we do not want to pick them up off the track.
3. YOU MAY BOLT A CHAIN FROM BUMPER TO BUMPER SHOCK AT THE FRAME 3/8 MAX
4. Bumpers can be loaded on inside only (DEC BUMPERS ARE OK)
5. Bumpers can be no higher than 26" from the ground to the top of the bumper or lower than 16" from the ground to the bottom of the bumper.
6. Bumpers may be hard nosed but do not shorten the frame past core support mount.
7. No welding allowed past factory most rear point of where your bumper bracket used to be for the car you are building.
8. Homemade bumper brackets are legal but must meet officials approval and may not be welded any further than the factory mounts.
9. Homemade bumpers are allowed but must have a factory chrome skin welded to the front of the bumper. No crazy pointy bumpers. Bumpers must look like a factory bumper.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
1. Any engine or transmission may be used in any car, but must be mounted within 6” of the original motor. Engine cannot protrude into the passenger compartment before the race.
2. ANY ENGINE CRADLE ALLOWED, may use aftermarket or homemade motor mounts. 2 chains allowed (1 per side of engine, 3/8ths chain max) bolted to engine or cradle and must be welded or bolted to engine crossmember of car only, nothing mounting your engine may be attached to frame rails at any point.
3. Chains will be permitted, but this is only to help hold your engine in place and must meet approval of officials. (Nothing adding strength to car)
4. Transmission oil coolers and engine oil coolers are permitted. They must be secure and contained and covered inside the car, for the driver’s protection.
5. Skid plates are allowed.
6. Distributor protectors are allowed. They CANNOT help reinforce the car. The firewall must be cut out of the car completely as wide as the protector. The reason I am allowing them is so that everyone does not have to unbolt and bolt their protectors for all the different rules. Transmission braces and aftermarket bellhousings will be allowed but may not strengthen the car in any way. (You may have to slice transmission tunnel if deemed necessary)
7. Factory aluminum engine cradles in 2003 and newer cars may NOT be changed. No homemade cradles.
8.HOMEMADE Gas Pedals and Shifters Are Allowed
9. OEM crossmember or 2x2 ¼” square tube. Factory style rubber mount or one loose loop of 3/8” chain, BUT NOT BOTH.
10. If your DP hits the dash bar at any time, you will be disqualified, so remember this when welding in dash bar.
REAR END
1. Any automotive or aftermarket rear end
2. On models originally equipped with leaf springs, stock leaf springs and hangers MUST be used.
3. Leaf packs on all cars MUST be OEM stock.
4. Slider drive shaft is permitted.
5. You may have five (5) spring clamps per spring.
6. No reinforced trailing arms, stock only.
TIRES
1. Any Tires 15 inches or smaller.
2. No solid wheels stock OEM only. YOU MAY WELD IN WHEEL CENTERS for multi lug use. Foam filled or bead locks are allowed, we do not want any flats. No outer bead reinforcement on rims. Valve stem protectors are allowed.
Patch Rule 6 4 by6 1/4 patch plates allowed on pre ran cars.

A. CUT OR REMOVE ILLEGAL PARTS.
B. LOAD ON TRAILER AND GO HOME.

MINI VAN RULES
Chain and bang
1. Vans must be stripped completely.
2. Fuel cells and batteries must be moved and secured inside the van.
3.4 point cage and halo bar are mandatory.
4. Any rubber tires.
5. Hoods,doors, and hatches may only be secured with chain or 9 wire or duct tape. The front 2 doors may be welded solid if u wish for driver and passenger protection!!! No bolts or threaded rod to secure the hood,doors or hatches!
6. You may swap bumpers. Weld or bolt them on good, We dont want to pick them up off track. Flat non loaded bumpers only. No pointys of any kind!
80s AND NEWER CHAIN AND WIRE CLASS RULES
These cars are to remain 100% stock besides what the rules say you can do. If the rules do not say you can do it then the answer is NO!!!!!
FRAME
No welding allowed other than bumpers,engine mounts,and angle iron for tranny crossmember.
Any bumpers are fine loaded,homemade,or ect.
No more point than a factory mopar pointy bumper.
Any motor mount may be used.
6 inches of no bigger than 3 by 3 by ¼ inch angle iron may be used to relocate trans crossmember. Factory crossmember or 2by2 square tubing may be used.
Bumper Brackets
All factory shocks and or brackets that came on the car you are running may be welded solid. Shocks may be collapsed. Bumpers may be hardnosed but do not shorten front frame past core support mount!! If you hardnose bumpers no brackets or shocks may be used!!!! Weld bumpers on good I dont want to pick them up off track.
BODY
The only welding on the body is the cage.
No body creasing at all!!
All body bolts must remain factory and untouched besides the all thread in the core support. All Thread may be no bigger than ¾ inch and may run up through the hood. Washers for all thread may not be welded and plates are to be no bigger than 4 by 4. If you need to add a core support spacer it must be free floating and no larger than 2 by2 tubing.
DOORS
Doors must be chained or 9 wired shut. 3/8ths chain max.
Duct tape may be used also.
TRUNK OR TAILGATE
6 spots of chain or wire may be used to hold trunk or tailgate. No welding at all!!!!
Trunks must remain on hinges in factory location. Trunks may be tucked with a single 90 degree bend.
HOODS
Your hood may be secured in 6 spots total. 2 will be your threaded rod in core support and the other 4 will be chain or wire sheet metal to sheet metal.
You must have at least 2 spots of chain or wire in the windshield opening for safety.
CAGE
You must have a 4 point cage with a roll over bar. All cage material is to be no bigger than 6 inch material. No part of the cage may be in doors. No down tubes allowed. Your cage may be welded to inner sheet metal. Roll over bar may be bolted to roof in 2 spots. Gas tank protectors are allowed and must stay at least 5 inches from all sheet metal and frame.
STEERING AND SUSPENSION
Any steering column may be used. Homemade columns may be used. Steering column may be welded to cage. All suspension must remain factory. You may add twist in spring raisers to gain height. Tierods and balljoints must remain factory.
DRIVETRAIN
Any motor or trans in any car.
NO PROTECTORS OF ANY KIND!!!!!!!!
NO TRANSMISSION BRACES!!!!!!
NO AFTERMARKET BELLS!!!!!!
NO ENGINE CRADLES!!!!!!
NO DISTRIBUTOR PROTECTORS!!!!!
Aftermarket gas pedals,shifters,and brake pedals may be used. Trans coolers may be used.
Slip drive shafts will be allowed.
Pinion brakes are fine.
REAREND
Any rear end will be allowed. 8 lug floaters are fine. Aftermarket rearends are fine. Rear End braces are fine. No part of the rear end brace may strengthen the car. You may not strengthen rear control arms. U may double or change rear springs. You may chain your rear humps to rear end. 2 chains total 1 per side 3/8ths chain max.
NO WATTS CONVERSIONS. IF you want to run a watts ford you must make your rearend adapt to factory brackets!!!
TIRES AND WHEELS
16 inch or smaller wheels and tires only.
Beadlocks,doubled tires,or foam filled tires are fine we don’t want any flats.
Wheel centers are fine.

2017 MINI CAR RULES

2. Station wagons converted to a sedagons are allowed. If roof sheet metal is bolted to the floor pan, officials can cut a hole to inspect for reinforcements under the sheet metal.
3. All glass, side windows, rear windows, headlights and taillights, must be removed before reaching the track. Rolling down windows is not permitted.
4. Rear seat of sedan must be removed, top and bottom. On station wagons all seats and decking must be removed. Station wagons must be emptied to the floorboards.
5. Cars must have a seatbelt and working brakes. MANDATORY
6. Battery may be moved, but must be securely fastened and covered in passenger compartment. Two batteries are allowed.
7. MANDATORY –Front windshield must have a bar or loop of #9 wire from roof to the firewall for safety. 1 bar 3 inch wide by 3/8 inch max or 2 loops of #9 wire only.
8. Trailer hitches: Class A or frame mounted must be totally removed. Class B or bumper mounted trailer ball stub must be cut off.
GAS TANKS AND FUEL PUMPS – ALL JUDGES DECISIONS ARE FINAL
1. Stock gas tank MUST be removed from original position and mounted in the rear seat area and secured. A marine tank or fuel cell is strongly recommended. All lines and fitting must be leak proof and meet approval of the track officials. Electric fuel pumps are allowed, but must have a shut-off switch within reach of the driver. Tanks must be covered before entering the track.
2. All lines must be run inside car, not along the frame underneath. All lines should be double clamped.
RADIATOR AND CORE SUPPORT – ALL JUDGES DECISIONS ARE FINAL
1. Radiator must be in stock position. Any automotive type radiator can be used. Must be an OEM automotive radiator.
2. No reserve tanks and no added cooling capacity.
3. Core support seams can be welded. These are the only body seams that are allowed to be welded. No exceptions.
4. Multiple electric fans mounted to the radiator, may be used.
5. Radiator protectors are allowed, but must be in front off or behind radiator.
6. Protectors are to be full floating or bolted to the radiator.
7. Protectors cannot be wider than the cooling surface of the radiator.
8. Protector cannot be thicker than 1/8” and must be made out of a form of expanded metal or screen. No solid metal allowed at all. No angle iron or flat strap.
9. This is a radiator protector, not a core support reinforcement.
BODY – ALL JUDGES DECISIONS ARE FINAL
1. No body seams may be welded except for the ones outlined on the core support. No metal may be added. Inner fenders may be welded to frame. Body cannot be welded to frame anywhere else.
2. No doubling of body panels allowed, no added metal allowed. No reinforcing of the firewall. Body sheet metal patching must be Okayed by official. Call first.
3. No adding of metal between inner and outer fender skins. This means no welded in gussets, angle iron or shackle rod.
4. Body creasing, enhancing of existing body lines and addition of body lines is allowed. Do not fold the metal over to create a doubled effect. If this is found. It will be torch cut. If there is any place where metal is formed into layers. It will be torch cut. No man made seams can be welded.
5. Body mounts may be replaced with up to and no larger than 1 inch bolts or all thread with washers or plates no bigger than 4 inches in diameter and no thicker than 1/4 inch. These plate washers cannot be welded down. No overlapping of washers or plates.
6. Body spacers at the core support cannot be no larger than 2” round or 3” x 3” square tubing.
7. Only two added body mounts allowed.
8. Fenders may be bolted together with a maximum of 10 - 3/8 inch bolts or smaller with 3/8 inch or smaller washers per wheel opening.
9. Doors may be welded, chained or wired. If doors are welded, they cannot be welded any farther than 3” on each side of the door seam. 4 inch wide strap max. 1/4 inch thick max.
10. No body mount bolts or all thread allowed through the humps.
11. 2 rear window bars are allowed. Cannot be attached to cage anywhere. Must go from roof sheet metal to rear speaker deck and trunk lid. Must be attached sheet metal to sheet metal. Must be attached at least 8” off and inside the pillars. 12 inches into the roof and 4 inches on to truck lid. Welded or bolted or both.
12. Rear window bars must be made out of a max. of or up to 3”x 3” 1/4 inch thick material. No solid stock.
SUSPENSION – ALL JUDGES DECISIONS ARE FINAL
1. Bumper height 24” or less at top of bumper.
2. A arm can be welded solid. A arm can be bolted or welded down. You may weld square stock or pipe between the upper and lower A arms to set suspension height. 1” pipe or 1”x1” square. Not solid square or round stock.
3. A arm cannot be plated or reinforced. Stock A arms only
4. Tie rods may be reinforced
5. Steering gear boxes may be modified. After market steering columns are allowed.
6. Sway bars must be in factory stock position or taken out completely. Cannot be flipped and welded to the frame.
7. Suspension stiffness left to discretion of driver.
8. 2” pipe may be used to reinforce struts.
HOODS AND TRUNKS – ALL JUDGES DECISIONS ARE FINAL
1. Hoods must have two (2) holes, at least four (4) inches in diameter on each side of the carburetor. Not directly on top of the carburetor. If the hood is removed, either the fan or fan belt must be removed.
2. Hood cut outs cannot be welded. Bolted only. Hood seams cannot be welded.
3. Max. of 50 bolts allowed in hood and trunk total between the two. No added metal. 3/8” bolts max. with factory 3/8” washers.
4. Hoods must be opened upon request during inspection. If we cannot see we will cut.
5. Hoods may be secured by all thread outboard the radiator, 2 pieces at firewall, and 1 at each fender well. 1 ½” x 1 ½”x 5” long angle iron may be used with the all thread. 3 on each side of the car. If welding all thread to strut tower, all thread cannot be longer than 22”.
6. The all thread outboard the radiator can be sleeved with up to 2 inch tubing or round pipe. These 2 pieces of all thread are the only ones that can be sleeved.
7. 4” x 3/16” strap can be used from core support to bumper.
8. If you use #9 wire to hold down hood, you are allowed Unlimited #9 wire across the front in front of radiator.
9. Don’t wire hood down until after inspection.
10. You may use all thread to secure the trunk lid. All thread must go thru factory body mounts. (4 total) Cannot be sleeved. Front wheel drive may weld all thread to side of frame, but there must be a 6” open gap between washer and down bar. Washers may be no larger than 4 inches in diameter and cannot be welded down. Unlimited #9 wire can be used here as well.
11. Trunks & tailgates can be welded solid; max 4 inch wide strap 1/4 inch thick.
12. The trunk lid must be in stock position. No moving forward or backwards of trunk lid.
13. The trunk lid may be v’d in the center, but must remain at least 10” off the trunk floor.
14. No adding of metal in trunk lip area to fill the gap.
15. Relocation the rear speaker deck is not allowed. It must remain in stock position. It can be cut out. If cut out, it cannot be placed anywhere else in the car.
SAFETY CAGES – ALL JUDGES DECISIONS ARE FINAL
1. You should have a six point cage. The cage can be welded to the frame in four (4) places. Must go to flat part of frame. You can have up to six (6) down posts, three (3) per side (4 to frame, 2 to sheet metal). You should have a dash bar, a cross bar behind the seat and two (2) door cross bars. The door bars cannot be less than 12 inches off of the floor. Nothing can be ran between the rear wheel humps or welded to the humps. No kickers to the frame humps- front or back. All down post must be straight. (NO ANGLES)
2. Door bars must stop at dash bar. Nothing in front of dash bar.
3. Dash bar cannot be more than 6 inches in front of front door seam. Dash bar cannot be in front of front door post.
4. Cage can be made out of 3” pipe or 3” square tubing, MAX.
5. All down tubes must be behind the dash bar, straight up and down and on the flat part of the top of the frame. Cannot go to the body mount boxes.
6. Gas tank protectors are allowed. Can touch the rear deck metal or package tray
7. Front wheel drive cage can be welded directly to body skin or all down bars can be welded to the floor with a 5” x 5” x ¼” plate MAX
HALO BARS OR ROLLOVER BARS MANDATORY – ALL JUDGES DECISIONS ARE FINAL
1. You MUST add a halo bar to the cage components listed above. It may not exceed 5” in diameter.
2. On a 4 door post car, this bar must attach to the seat bar. NO EXCEPTIONS
3. On a 2 door or 4 door non-post car, this bar may be attached to the floor sheet metal.
4. Halo bars must be in a direct vertical line with the seat.
5. Halo bars may not be angled toward the rear of the car.
6. You may bolt the halo bar to the roof sheet metal in 2 places.
7. The halo bar cannot be attached to the front window bar or rear window bar!!!!!!!!
FRAMES – ALL JUDGES DECISIONS ARE FINAL
ABSOLUTELY NO CONCRETE IN FRAMES
1. No welding, plating, or reinforcing of the frame unless specified otherwise.
2. Factory frame seams may be welded from firewall forward only. A single bead or one pass weld is allowed. Anything considered excessive by the officials will be dealt with at the time of inspection.
3.PRERAN cars only will be allowed band aids totaling no more than 24 inches. Cannot be thicker than 3/16”. No excessive welding. There must be visible sign of damage. Judges have the last and final say.
4. Any other reinforcing of frame found will result in disqualification.
5.Sub frame cars cannot be tied together. If you want to run a full frame car, buy a full frame car, don’t build one.
6.No tilting or hump plating.
7.No shortening of frames except to mount front bumper.
8.No plating, stuffing, heat treating or foam filling of frames is allowed. Do NOT paint, undercoat, oil or grease your frames or you will not even be inspected.
9.You may run one (1) wire or chain from frame rail to frame rail underneath back of car behind rear end. Front wheel drive may run wire or chain underneath front of car.
10.You may put a bolt thru frame to hold it together. Only one (1) per wheel opening, must be loose during inspection, (Pinning of frame) one inch id stamped washer only no cut out plates.
11.You may notch the frame for minimal pre-bending, but do NOT weld the cut.
12.If changing front sub, cut 3 inches behind second cross member bolt hole. When replacing, can over lap 10 inches, able to weld both sides, but no adding extra metal. Must be from same make and model.
13. When replacing frame, frame must come from the same make of the car u are running. And is legal in this class.
14.If re-subbing one side of the frame, you are allowed to cut and fit the new frame flush and weld one pass all the way around (butt – fit – weld).
15.Rear frame rails may not be shortened.
16.You may chain or wire your axle to the frame hump. You may not use strapping of any kind for this. 3/8” chain maximum.
ALL FRAMES THAT HAVE BEEN ALTERED IN ANY WAY WILL BE DRILLED. (HAMMERED, SHORTENED, PAINTED, GRINDING MARKS, ETC.) NO EXCEPTIONS! IF YOUR CAR IS FOUND TO BE PLATED YOU COULD BE BANNED FROM RUNNING AT MY SHOWS FOR A YEAR. SO DON'T TRY ME. THIS IS GETTING WAY OUT OF HAND!
BUMPERS – ALL JUDGES DECISIONS ARE FINAL
1. Any OEM shock canister may be bolted or welded to any car. Amounts of bolts or welds may not exceed typical stock installation. Homemade bumper brackets are permitted, no gussets or bracing. Not to extend behind OEM mounting bolt location on frame. May use 2 ½ inch max. Round or square tubing. No thicker than ¼ inch. Or 3/8 by 3 inch flat bar. May be used. No solid stock may be used. Any OEM stock automobile bumper may be bolted or welded to the shock canister or bumper brackets. You may weld outer chrome or bumper to inner skin of bumper. You may use two (2) pieces of light chain per shock. Fenders and bumper ends may be trimmed to allow for wheel clearance.
2. For you guys that are cutting the frame down to mount your bumper, you are allowed 12” of mounting bracket or shock tube welded or bolted to the frame, no more on the frame than that.
3. This rule also applies to putting your tubes inside the frame. You are allowed 12” only inside the frame regardless if you cut the frame or not.
4. May have a ¼” thick x 2” wide strap from bumper to frame or bumper to body, two on front and two on rear. Closest place on frame to bumper. Only a 2” x 2” area on each end of strap may be welded to bumper and frame or body.
5. Homemade front bumpers allowed. No wider than 13” on point. Point must be spread out. No taller than 6”. Bumper length must be within fenders.
6. Bumpers can be loaded with metal only. No solid bumpers and no concrete. NO EXCEPTIONS.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION – ALL JUDGES DECISIONS ARE FINAL
1. Any 4- or 6-cylinder engine or transmission may be used in any car, but must be mounted within 5” of the original motor.
2. Chained, welded, or homemade motor mounts will be permitted, but must meet approval of officials.
3. Any type of header is allowed, but must be directed away from driver compartment.
4. Transmission oil coolers and engine oil coolers are permitted. Must be secure and contained and covered inside the car, for the driver’s protection.
5. Skid plates are allowed. Must be separate oil/transmission plates. No full-length skid plates. No bolting or welding to frame.
6. Distributor protectors are allowed, but must be attached to engine or transmission mounting bolts. Backside must be no wider than 12”. CAN NOT CONTACT CAGE AT ANY TIME. If you run a distributor protector do not mount your dash bar closer than 5” from the middle of the dash. It may not be welded, bolted or connected to the body, hood or frame. Forward supports must be inside normally positioned headers and not extend past the water pump.
7.Transmission braces are allowed. Oem crossmember only!!
REAR END – ALL JUDGES DECISIONS ARE FINAL
1. Any automobile rear end can be used in any car, but must be a 5-lug rear. This rule does not mean you can transform a coil spring to leaf spring or vice versa. On models originally equipped with leaf springs, stock leaf springs and hangers MUST be used. Leaf packs on all cars may have no more than original leaves per pack. Homemade spring perches or homemade trailing arm brackets may be welded to rear end. Rear end spider gears may be welded solid. You may tilt rear end by shortening or lengthening rear end control arms.
2. Any drive shaft or U joint may be used. Welding of drive shaft is permitted.
3. No extra metal added. Any bracket that shows reinforcement to the frame will not be allowed.
4. You may tilt the rear end by lengthening or shortening the trailing arms. Trailing arms may be reinforced.
5. You may have five (5) spring clamps per spring. You pick if you want them in front of or behind axle, or split them between the front and back.
TIRES – ALL JUDGES DECISIONS ARE FINAL
7. Only sixteen (16) inch or smaller tires and wheels will be allowed. No split rims allowed.
8. Valve stem protectors, liquid in tires permitted or screws in rims to hold tires in place permitted.
9. Wheel weights must be removed
10. Double stuffed tires are permitted. We do not want any flats!!!!

2017 LIMITED WELD RULES
COMPETITION RULES
WE HAVE THE RIGHT TO RE-INSPECT, CUT, OR DRILL ANY CAR AT ANY TIME. IF YOU ARE CAUGHT BREAKING THE RULES SET HERE FORTH YOU WILL FORFEIT ANY AND ALL WINNINGS AND OR PRIZES YOU ARE DUE. JUDGES DECISION’S ARE FINAL.
- Drivers must remain in the vehicle with helmet, seatbelt and eye protection on until notified by an official that it is safe to exit the vehicle.
- Driver’s door hits are illegal. If the hit is deemed by the official to be careless or intentional, you will be disqualified. If you use your driver’s door as a defense, we will not enforce the rules. If you use the door defense repeatedly you will be disqualified.
- No hot rodding in the pits. Keep it at an idle.
- Any open door will cause disqualification, you are allowed one fire, second fire will be cause for disqualification. You may return in later rounds.
- Sandbagging is not tolerated and will be strictly enforced. Locking up the brakes prior to a hit for anything other than a driver’s door will be a cause for disqualification. The fans pay to see a show, put one on for them!
- You must make AGGRESSIVE HIT every 60 seconds.
- You will be given ample time for restarts. We do not use the clock exclusively. We try to work with you if you are hung up. Hitters get more time than sandbaggers.
- This is not a team event; team driving will not be tolerated.
- THERE IS NO ALCOHOL IN THE PITS. This includes pit crews. If you or ANY of your crew is caught with alcohol, you will be disqualified.
- All cars are subject to a post race inspection before any prize money is awarded.
- No harassing of the judges will be allowed at any time by drivers, passengers, crewmembers or spectators. Failure to abide by this rule, the driver will forfeit all money and all involved will be escorted from premises.
-All drivers & Riders MUST be 16 years or older. MUST have a valid drivers license, if 16 years old parent or guardian must be present to complete waiver to participate in derby!!!!
Limited Weld Rules (OLD SKOOL)
AUTOMOBILE BODY REGULATIONS- ALL JUDGES DECISIONS ARE FINAL
1. ANY Passenger car or station wagon only. No trucks, jeeps, hearses, limousines, or checkered cabs. No pre 1973 Chrysler Imperials and no Imperial Sub Frames. No PRE-1973 Lincolns.
2. Sedagons are allowed.
3. All glass, side windows, rear windows, headlights and taillights, must be removed before reaching the track. Rolling down windows is not permitted.
4. Rear seat of sedan must be removed, top and bottom. On station wagons all seats and decking must be removed. Station wagons must be emptied to the floorboards.
5. Cars must have a seatbelt and working brakes. MANDATORY
6. Battery may be moved, but must be securely fastened and covered in passenger compartment. TWO BATTERIES ARE ALLOWED.
7. Front Windshield Bar is MANDATORY and is limited to two 2” wide x 1/4" thick straps or two 3/8” chains or two strands of 9 wire.
GAS TANKS AND FUEL PUMPS
1. Stock gas tank MUST be removed from original position and mounted in the rear seat area and secured. No rubber or chain straps. All tanks must have a secure cap. A marine tank or fuel cell is strongly recommended. All lines and fitting must be leak proof and meet approval of the track officials. Electric fuel pumps are allowed
2. All lines must be run inside car, not along the frame underneath.
3. All lines should be double clamped.
RADIATOR AND CORE SUPPORT
1. Radiator must be in stock position
2. Any automotive type radiator can be used. Aluminum Radiators are LEGAL.
3. No homemade radiators allowed
4. No reserve tanks and no added cooling capacity.
5. One electric fan, mounted to the radiator, may be used.
6. DO NOT MOVE CORE SUPPORT
7. If you use a core support spacer for your all thread to run through, the spacer must not be welded anywhere.
8. You are allowed unlimited #9 wire across the front from the core support to front bumper.
BODY
1. No body seams may be welded. No metal may be added.
2. No doubling of body panels allowed, no added metal allowed.
3. NO Body creasing.
4. Rear quarters may be beat in and rolled for rear tire clearance.
5. Fenders may be bolted together. Max of 10 3/8” BOLTS ABOVE EACH FENDER WELL.
6. Doors may be chained, wired, or welded. When welding doors you may weld them solid 3"wide by 1/8 thick all the way around or filler rod may be used. Both front doors may have a 6” wide by ¼” plate welded across them for protection only.
7. NO Changing body mounts, don’t touch them, except the rear most 4 in the trunk and the front 2 at the core support. These bolts may be one inch, no bigger than a 3 inch by 3 inch washer. THESE NUTS AND WASHERS MUST BE UP INSIDE FRAME!
8. RUST REPAIR WILL BE ALLOWED. NO THICKER THAN FACTORY SHEETMETAL. MINIMAL OVERLAP OF REPAIR. IT MAY BE WELDED OR BOLTED. THIS RULE SHOULD HELP CARS THAT HAVE A RUSTY TRUNK MOUNT OR RUSTY ROOF.
9. 9 WIRE RULE. U MAY HAVE 10 SPOTS OF WIRE IN YOUR CAR. BODY TO FRAME CAGE TO FRAME BODY TO BODY I DONT CARE GET CREATIVE WITH YOUR WIRE. I DONT CARE HOW MANY STRANDS OF WIRE YOU USE IN YOUR TWIST IF YOU WANT TO PUT 200 POUNDS IN YOUR CAR GET AFTER IT!!! NONE OF THE WIRE MAY ATTACH TO ENGINE OR TRANSMISSION PROTECTORS AT ANY TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!
SUSPENSION
1. Suspension must be original factory suspension for that car. Spring raisers are allowed,
2. Tie rods must have factory appearing ends, No heims! You may brace the center tube with angle or pipe. Aftermarket is fine but must have a factory type end!
3. INSTEAD OF FIGHTING SPRING RAISERS OR KICKING FRONT SPRINGS I AM GOING TO ALLOW UPPER A ARMS TO BE WELDED DOWN IF YOU WISH. YOU WILL BE ALLOWED 2 PIECES OF 2" WIDE BY 6" LONG 1/4 " PLATE TO SECURE A ARM. 1 STRAP ON PASSENGERSIDE AND 1 STRAP ON DRIVERSIDE.
HOODS
MUST BE OPEN AT INSPECTION!
1. Hoods must have two (2) holes, at least four (4) inches in diameter on each side of the carburetor. Not directly on top of the carburetor. If the hood is removed, either the fan or fan belt must be removed.
2. Hoods must be open during inspection.
3. Hoods may be secured by 2 pieces of all thread outboard the radiator. Cannot be sleeved.
4. Hoods can be held shut with “one” of the following but not both,
A (8) 2” long pieces of 2” x 2” angle with a single 3/8” bolt thru them
B (8) pieces of # 9 wire attaching hood to fender.
TRUNKS
1. You may use 4 pieces of one inch all thread to secure the trunk lid. All thread must go thru factory rear body mounts only. Washers may be no larger than 3 inches in diameter. No sleeving the all thread.
2. Trunk lids may be welded 5” on, 5” off. 3"wide by 1/8” thick strap only or filler rod.
3. The trunk lid must remain on hinges and rear tail light panel must remain vertical.
4. The trunk lid may be v’d in the center, but must remain at least 10” off the trunk floor.
5. TRUNK MUST HAVE TWO 10 by 10 INSPECTION HOLES CUT IN TRUNK LID!!!
SAFETY CAGES
1. All cars must have a safety cage and roll over bar.
2. A 4 point cage is required. Your cage must have a dash bar that must be 4” from the firewall. Your cage must have a bar behind the driver’s seat. You must have (2) side bars and they must not be farther than the rear wheel wells and must not extend past your firewall.
3. Roll over bar cannot be more than 6” behind driver’s seat. Roll over bar can be bolted to roof in two spots.
4. The cage can be welded to sheet metal only. You can have up to four (4) down posts, two (2) per side.
5. Cage can be made out of 6” pipe or 6” square tubing, MAX.
6. All down tubes must be at or behind the dash bar, straight up and down. Welded to sheet metal only. 8” wide max down tubes.
7. Gas tank protectors are allowed, but you must have at least a 5” gap between all sheet metal or package tray. This is for safety only.
FRAMES
1. No welding, plating, or reinforcing of the frame.
2. All factory frame holes must be left open.
3. Any reinforcing of frame found will result in disqualification.
4. Sub frame cars cannot be tied together. If you want to run a full frame car, buy a full frame car, don’t build one.
5. You can shorten the front frame only to aid in mounting front bumper. YOU MUST NOT TOUCH FRONT MOUNT.
6. Any steering columns will be allowed.
7. Rear frame rails may not be shortened.
8. You may chain your axle to the frame hump. ( 3/8” max chain)
9. The only welding permitted on the frame is bumpers and motor mounts.
BUMPERS
1. OEM STOCK shock canister only. ANY BUMPER ON ANY CAR.
2. Bumpers may be welded on. Weld them on good, we do not want to pick them up off the track.
3. YOU MAY BOLT A CHAIN FROM BUMPER TO BUMPER SHOCK AT THE FRAME 3/8 MAX
4. Bumpers can be loaded on inside only (DEC BUMPERS ARE OK)
5. Bumpers can be no higher than 26" from the ground to the top of the bumper or lower than 16" from the ground to the bottom of the bumper.
6. Bumpers may be hard nosed but do not shorten the frame past core support mount.
7. No welding allowed past factory most rear point of where your bumper bracket used to be for the car you are building.
8. Homemade bumper brackets are legal but must meet officials approval and may not be welded any further than the factory mounts.
9. Homemade bumpers are allowed but must have a factory chrome skin welded to the front of the bumper. No crazy pointy bumpers. Bumpers must look like a factory bumper.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
1. Any engine or transmission may be used in any car, but must be mounted within 6” of the original motor. Engine cannot protrude into the passenger compartment before the race.
2. ANY ENGINE CRADLE ALLOWED, may use aftermarket or homemade motor mounts. 2 chains allowed (1 per side of engine, 3/8ths chain max) bolted to engine or cradle and must be welded or bolted to engine crossmember of car only, nothing mounting your engine may be attached to frame rails at any point.
3. Chains will be permitted, but this is only to help hold your engine in place and must meet approval of officials. (Nothing adding strength to car)
4. Transmission oil coolers and engine oil coolers are permitted. They must be secure and contained and covered inside the car, for the driver’s protection.
5. Skid plates are allowed.
6. Distributor protectors are allowed. They CANNOT help reinforce the car. The firewall must be cut out of the car completely as wide as the protector. The reason I am allowing them is so that everyone does not have to unbolt and bolt their protectors for all the different rules. Transmission braces and aftermarket bellhousings will be allowed but may not strengthen the car in any way. (You may have to slice transmission tunnel if deemed necessary)
7. Factory aluminum engine cradles in 2003 and newer cars may NOT be changed. No homemade cradles.
8.HOMEMADE Gas Pedals and Shifters Are Allowed
9. OEM crossmember or 2x2 ¼” square tube. Factory style rubber mount or one loose loop of 3/8” chain, BUT NOT BOTH.
10. If your DP hits the dash bar at any time, you will be disqualified, so remember this when welding in dash bar.
REAR END
1. Any automotive or aftermarket rear end
2. On models originally equipped with leaf springs, stock leaf springs and hangers MUST be used.
3. Leaf packs on all cars MUST be OEM stock.
4. Slider drive shaft is permitted.
5. You may have five (5) spring clamps per spring.
6. No reinforced trailing arms, stock only.
TIRES
1. Any Tires 15 inches or smaller.
2. No solid wheels stock OEM only. YOU MAY WELD IN WHEEL CENTERS for multi lug use. Foam filled or bead locks are allowed, we do not want any flats. No outer bead reinforcement on rims. Valve stem protectors are allowed.
Patch Rule 6 4 by6 1/4 patch plates allowed on pre ran cars.

MINI VAN RULES
Chain and bang
1. Vans must be stripped completely.
2. Fuel cells and batteries must be moved and secured inside the van.
3.4 point cage and halo bar are mandatory.
4. Any rubber tires.
5. Hoods,doors, and hatches may only be secured with chain or 9 wire or duct tape. The front 2 doors may be welded solid if u wish for driver and passenger protection!!! No bolts or threaded rod to secure the hood,doors or hatches!
6. You may swap bumpers. Weld or bolt them on good, We dont want to pick them up off track. Flat non loaded bumpers only. No pointys of any kind!
80s AND NEWER CHAIN AND WIRE CLASS RULES
These cars are to remain 100% stock besides what the rules say you can do. If the rules do not say you can do it then the answer is NO!!!!!
FRAME
No welding allowed other than bumpers,engine mounts,and angle iron for tranny crossmember.
Any bumpers are fine loaded,homemade,or ect.
No more point than a factory mopar pointy bumper.
Any motor mount may be used.
6 inches of no bigger than 3 by 3 by ¼ inch angle iron may be used to relocate trans crossmember. Factory crossmember or 2by2 square tubing may be used.
Bumper Brackets
All factory shocks and or brackets that came on the car you are running may be welded solid. Shocks may be collapsed. Bumpers may be hardnosed but do not shorten front frame past core support mount!! If you hardnose bumpers no brackets or shocks may be used!!!! Weld bumpers on good I dont want to pick them up off track.
BODY
The only welding on the body is the cage.
No body creasing at all!!
All body bolts must remain factory and untouched besides the all thread in the core support. All Thread may be no bigger than ¾ inch and may run up through the hood. Washers for all thread may not be welded and plates are to be no bigger than 4 by 4. If you need to add a core support spacer it must be free floating and no larger than 2 by2 tubing.
DOORS
Doors must be chained or 9 wired shut. 3/8ths chain max.
Duct tape may be used also.
TRUNK OR TAILGATE
6 spots of chain or wire may be used to hold trunk or tailgate. No welding at all!!!!
Trunks must remain on hinges in factory location. Trunks may be tucked with a single 90 degree bend.
HOODS
Your hood may be secured in 6 spots total. 2 will be your threaded rod in core support and the other 4 will be chain or wire sheet metal to sheet metal.
You must have at least 2 spots of chain or wire in the windshield opening for safety.
CAGE
You must have a 4 point cage with a roll over bar. All cage material is to be no bigger than 6 inch material. No part of the cage may be in doors. No down tubes allowed. Your cage may be welded to inner sheet metal. Roll over bar may be bolted to roof in 2 spots. Gas tank protectors are allowed and must stay at least 5 inches from all sheet metal and frame.
STEERING AND SUSPENSION
Any steering column may be used. Homemade columns may be used. Steering column may be welded to cage. All suspension must remain factory. You may add twist in spring raisers to gain height. Tierods and balljoints must remain factory.
DRIVETRAIN
Any motor or trans in any car.
NO PROTECTORS OF ANY KIND!!!!!!!!
NO TRANSMISSION BRACES!!!!!!

Any rear end will be allowed. 8 lug floaters are fine. Aftermarket rearends are fine. Rear End braces are fine. No part of the rear end brace may strengthen the car. You may not strengthen rear control arms. U may double or change rear springs. You may chain your rear humps to rear end. 2 chains total 1 per side 3/8ths chain max.
NO WATTS CONVERSIONS. IF you want to run a watts ford you must make your rearend adapt to factory brackets!!!
TIRES AND WHEELS
16 inch or smaller wheels and tires only.
Beadlocks,doubled tires,or foam filled tires are fine we don’t want any flats.
Wheel centers are fine.

2017 MINI CAR RULES
AUTOMOBILE BODY REGULATIONS- ALL JUDGES DECISIONS ARE FINAL
1. Passenger cars or station wagons only. Wheel base must be 108” or less. No exceptions.
2. Station wagons converted to a sedagons are allowed. If roof sheet metal is bolted to the floor pan, officials can cut a hole to inspect for reinforcements under the sheet metal.
3. All glass, side windows, rear windows, headlights and taillights, must be removed before reaching the track. Rolling down windows is not permitted.
4. Rear seat of sedan must be removed, top and bottom. On station wagons all seats and decking must be removed. Station wagons must be emptied to the floorboards.
5. Cars must have a seatbelt and working brakes. MANDATORY
6. Battery may be moved, but must be securely fastened and covered in passenger compartment. Two batteries are allowed.
7. MANDATORY –Front windshield must have a bar or loop of #9 wire from roof to the firewall for safety. 1 bar 3 inch wide by 3/8 inch max or 2 loops of #9 wire only.
8. Trailer hitches: Class A or frame mounted must be totally removed. Class B or bumper mounted trailer ball stub must be cut off.
GAS TANKS AND FUEL PUMPS – ALL JUDGES DECISIONS ARE FINAL
1. Stock gas tank MUST be removed from original position and mounted in the rear seat area and secured. A marine tank or fuel cell is strongly recommended. All lines and fitting must be leak proof and meet approval of the track officials. Electric fuel pumps are allowed, but must have a shut-off switch within reach of the driver. Tanks must be covered before entering the track.
2. All lines must be run inside car, not along the frame underneath. All lines should be double clamped.
RADIATOR AND CORE SUPPORT – ALL JUDGES DECISIONS ARE FINAL
1. Radiator must be in stock position. Any automotive type radiator can be used. Must be an OEM automotive radiator.
2. No reserve tanks and no added cooling capacity.
3. Core support seams can be welded. These are the only body seams that are allowed to be welded. No exceptions.
4. Multiple electric fans mounted to the radiator, may be used.
5. Radiator protectors are allowed, but must be in front off or behind radiator.
6. Protectors are to be full floating or bolted to the radiator.
7. Protectors cannot be wider than the cooling surface of the radiator.
8. Protector cannot be thicker than 1/8” and must be made out of a form of expanded metal or screen. No solid metal allowed at all. No angle iron or flat strap.
9. This is a radiator protector, not a core support reinforcement.
BODY – ALL JUDGES DECISIONS ARE FINAL
1. No body seams may be welded except for the ones outlined on the core support. No metal may be added. Inner fenders may be welded to frame. Body cannot be welded to frame anywhere else.
2. No doubling of body panels allowed, no added metal allowed. No reinforcing of the firewall. Body sheet metal patching must be Okayed by official. Call first.
3. No adding of metal between inner and outer fender skins. This means no welded in gussets, angle iron or shackle rod.
4. Body creasing, enhancing of existing body lines and addition of body lines is allowed. Do not fold the metal over to create a doubled effect. If this is found. It will be torch cut. If there is any place where metal is formed into layers. It will be torch cut. No man made seams can be welded.
5. Body mounts may be replaced with up to and no larger than 1 inch bolts or all thread with washers or plates no bigger than 4 inches in diameter and no thicker than 1/4 inch. These plate washers cannot be welded down. No overlapping of washers or plates.
6. Body spacers at the core support cannot be no larger than 2” round or 3” x 3” square tubing.
7. Only two added body mounts allowed.
8. Fenders may be bolted together with a maximum of 10 - 3/8 inch bolts or smaller with 3/8 inch or smaller washers per wheel opening.
9. Doors may be welded, chained or wired. If doors are welded, they cannot be welded any farther than 3” on each side of the door seam. 4 inch wide strap max. 1/4 inch thick max.
10. No body mount bolts or all thread allowed through the humps.
11. 2 rear window bars are allowed. Cannot be attached to cage anywhere. Must go from roof sheet metal to rear speaker deck and trunk lid. Must be attached sheet metal to sheet metal. Must be attached at least 8” off and inside the pillars. 12 inches into the roof and 4 inches on to truck lid. Welded or bolted or both.
12. Rear window bars must be made out of a max. of or up to 3”x 3” 1/4 inch thick material. No solid stock.
SUSPENSION – ALL JUDGES DECISIONS ARE FINAL
1. Bumper height 24” or less at top of bumper.
2. A arm can be welded solid. A arm can be bolted or welded down. You may weld square stock or pipe between the upper and lower A arms to set suspension height. 1” pipe or 1”x1” square. Not solid square or round stock.
3. A arm cannot be plated or reinforced. Stock A arms only
4. Tie rods may be reinforced
5. Steering gear boxes may be modified. After market steering columns are allowed.
6. Sway bars must be in factory stock position or taken out completely. Cannot be flipped and welded to the frame.
7. Suspension stiffness left to discretion of driver.
8. 2” pipe may be used to reinforce struts.
HOODS AND TRUNKS – ALL JUDGES DECISIONS ARE FINAL
1. Hoods must have two (2) holes, at least four (4) inches in diameter on each side of the carburetor. Not directly on top of the carburetor. If the hood is removed, either the fan or fan belt must be removed.
2. Hood cut outs cannot be welded. Bolted only. Hood seams cannot be welded.
3. Max. of 50 bolts allowed in hood and trunk total between the two. No added metal. 3/8” bolts max. with factory 3/8” washers.
4. Hoods must be opened upon request during inspection. If we cannot see we will cut.
5. Hoods may be secured by all thread outboard the radiator, 2 pieces at firewall, and 1 at each fender well. 1 ½” x 1 ½”x 5” long angle iron may be used with the all thread. 3 on each side of the car. If welding all thread to strut tower, all thread cannot be longer than 22”.
6. The all thread outboard the radiator can be sleeved with up to 2 inch tubing or round pipe. These 2 pieces of all thread are the only ones that can be sleeved.
7. 4” x 3/16” strap can be used from core support to bumper.
8. If you use #9 wire to hold down hood, you are allowed Unlimited #9 wire across the front in front of radiator.
9. Don’t wire hood down until after inspection.
10. You may use all thread to secure the trunk lid. All thread must go thru factory body mounts. (4 total) Cannot be sleeved. Front wheel drive may weld all thread to side of frame, but there must be a 6” open gap between washer and down bar. Washers may be no larger than 4 inches in diameter and cannot be welded down. Unlimited #9 wire can be used here as well.
11. Trunks & tailgates can be welded solid; max 4 inch wide strap 1/4 inch thick.
12. The trunk lid must be in stock position. No moving forward or backwards of trunk lid.
13. The trunk lid may be v’d in the center, but must remain at least 10” off the trunk floor.
14. No adding of metal in trunk lip area to fill the gap.
15. Relocation the rear speaker deck is not allowed. It must remain in stock position. It can be cut out. If cut out, it cannot be placed anywhere else in the car.
SAFETY CAGES – ALL JUDGES DECISIONS ARE FINAL
1. You should have a six point cage. The cage can be welded to the frame in four (4) places. Must go to flat part of frame. You can have up to six (6) down posts, three (3) per side (4 to frame, 2 to sheet metal). You should have a dash bar, a cross bar behind the seat and two (2) door cross bars. The door bars cannot be less than 12 inches off of the floor. Nothing can be ran between the rear wheel humps or welded to the humps. No kickers to the frame humps- front or back. All down post must be straight. (NO ANGLES)
2. Door bars must stop at dash bar. Nothing in front of dash bar.
3. Dash bar cannot be more than 6 inches in front of front door seam. Dash bar cannot be in front of front door post.
4. Cage can be made out of 3” pipe or 3” square tubing, MAX.
5. All down tubes must be behind the dash bar, straight up and down and on the flat part of the top of the frame. Cannot go to the body mount boxes.
6. Gas tank protectors are allowed. Can touch the rear deck metal or package tray
7. Front wheel drive cage can be welded directly to body skin or all down bars can be welded to the floor with a 5” x 5” x ¼” plate MAX
HALO BARS OR ROLLOVER BARS MANDATORY – ALL JUDGES DECISIONS ARE FINAL
1. You MUST add a halo bar to the cage components listed above. It may not exceed 5” in diameter.
2. On a 4 door post car, this bar must attach to the seat bar. NO EXCEPTIONS
3. On a 2 door or 4 door non-post car, this bar may be attached to the floor sheet metal.
4. Halo bars must be in a direct vertical line with the seat.
5. Halo bars may not be angled toward the rear of the car.
6. You may bolt the halo bar to the roof sheet metal in 2 places.
7. The halo bar cannot be attached to the front window bar or rear window bar!!!!!!!!
FRAMES – ALL JUDGES DECISIONS ARE FINAL
ABSOLUTELY NO CONCRETE IN FRAMES
1. No welding, plating, or reinforcing of the frame unless specified otherwise.
2. Factory frame seams may be welded from firewall forward only. A single bead or one pass weld is allowed. Anything considered excessive by the officials will be dealt with at the time of inspection.
3.PRERAN cars only will be allowed band aids totaling no more than 24 inches. Cannot be thicker than 3/16”. No excessive welding. There must be visible sign of damage. Judges have the last and final say.
4. Any other reinforcing of frame found will result in disqualification.
5.Sub frame cars cannot be tied together. If you want to run a full frame car, buy a full frame car, don’t build one.
6.No tilting or hump plating.
7.No shortening of frames except to mount front bumper.
8.No plating, stuffing, heat treating or foam filling of frames is allowed. Do NOT paint, undercoat, oil or grease your frames or you will not even be inspected.
9.You may run one (1) wire or chain from frame rail to frame rail underneath back of car behind rear end. Front wheel drive may run wire or chain underneath front of car.
10.You may put a bolt thru frame to hold it together. Only one (1) per wheel opening, must be loose during inspection, (Pinning of frame) one inch id stamped washer only no cut out plates.
11.You may notch the frame for minimal pre-bending, but do NOT weld the cut.
12.If changing front sub, cut 3 inches behind second cross member bolt hole. When replacing, can over lap 10 inches, able to weld both sides, but no adding extra metal. Must be from same make and model.
13. When replacing frame, frame must come from the same make of the car u are running. And is legal in this class.
14.If re-subbing one side of the frame, you are allowed to cut and fit the new frame flush and weld one pass all the way around (butt – fit – weld).
15.Rear frame rails may not be shortened.
16.You may chain or wire your axle to the frame hump. You may not use strapping of any kind for this. 3/8” chain maximum.
ALL FRAMES THAT HAVE BEEN ALTERED IN ANY WAY WILL BE DRILLED. (HAMMERED, SHORTENED, PAINTED, GRINDING MARKS, ETC.) NO EXCEPTIONS! IF YOUR CAR IS FOUND TO BE PLATED YOU COULD BE BANNED FROM RUNNING AT MY SHOWS FOR A YEAR. SO DON'T TRY ME. THIS IS GETTING WAY OUT OF HAND!
BUMPERS – ALL JUDGES DECISIONS ARE FINAL
1. Any OEM shock canister may be bolted or welded to any car. Amounts of bolts or welds may not exceed typical stock installation. Homemade bumper brackets are permitted, no gussets or bracing. Not to extend behind OEM mounting bolt location on frame. May use 2 ½ inch max. Round or square tubing. No thicker than ¼ inch. Or 3/8 by 3 inch flat bar. May be used. No solid stock may be used. Any OEM stock automobile bumper may be bolted or welded to the shock canister or bumper brackets. You may weld outer chrome or bumper to inner skin of bumper. You may use two (2) pieces of light chain per shock. Fenders and bumper ends may be trimmed to allow for wheel clearance.
2. For you guys that are cutting the frame down to mount your bumper, you are allowed 12” of mounting bracket or shock tube welded or bolted to the frame, no more on the frame than that.
3. This rule also applies to putting your tubes inside the frame. You are allowed 12” only inside the frame regardless if you cut the frame or not.
4. May have a ¼” thick x 2” wide strap from bumper to frame or bumper to body, two on front and two on rear. Closest place on frame to bumper. Only a 2” x 2” area on each end of strap may be welded to bumper and frame or body.
5. Homemade front bumpers allowed. No wider than 13” on point. Point must be spread out. No taller than 6”. Bumper length must be within fenders.
6. Bumpers can be loaded with metal only. No solid bumpers and no concrete. NO EXCEPTIONS.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION – ALL JUDGES DECISIONS ARE FINAL
1. Any 4- or 6-cylinder engine or transmission may be used in any car, but must be mounted within 5” of the original motor.
2. Chained, welded, or homemade motor mounts will be permitted, but must meet approval of officials.
3. Any type of header is allowed, but must be directed away from driver compartment.
4. Transmission oil coolers and engine oil coolers are permitted. Must be secure and contained and covered inside the car, for the driver’s protection.
5. Skid plates are allowed. Must be separate oil/transmission plates. No full-length skid plates. No bolting or welding to frame.
6. Distributor protectors are allowed, but must be attached to engine or transmission mounting bolts. Backside must be no wider than 12”. CAN NOT CONTACT CAGE AT ANY TIME. If you run a distributor protector do not mount your dash bar closer than 5” from the middle of the dash. It may not be welded, bolted or connected to the body, hood or frame. Forward supports must be inside normally positioned headers and not extend past the water pump.
7.Transmission braces are allowed. Oem crossmember only!!
REAR END – ALL JUDGES DECISIONS ARE FINAL
1. Any automobile rear end can be used in any car, but must be a 5-lug rear. This rule does not mean you can transform a coil spring to leaf spring or vice versa. On models originally equipped with leaf springs, stock leaf springs and hangers MUST be used. Leaf packs on all cars may have no more than original leaves per pack. Homemade spring perches or homemade trailing arm brackets may be welded to rear end. Rear end spider gears may be welded solid. You may tilt rear end by shortening or lengthening rear end control arms.
2. Any drive shaft or U joint may be used. Welding of drive shaft is permitted.
3. No extra metal added. Any bracket that shows reinforcement to the frame will not be allowed.
4. You may tilt the rear end by lengthening or shortening the trailing arms. Trailing arms may be reinforced.
5. You may have five (5) spring clamps per spring. You pick if you want them in front of or behind axle, or split them between the front and back.
TIRES – ALL JUDGES DECISIONS ARE FINAL
7. Only sixteen (16) inch or smaller tires and wheels will be allowed. No split rims allowed.
8. Valve stem protectors, liquid in tires permitted or screws in rims to hold tires in place permitted.
9. Wheel weights must be removed
10. Double stuffed tires are permitted. We do not want any flats!!!!
